There's a difference between tailoring for the Royal Family and tailoring for the super rich. If you're tailoring for the Royal Family you're there for the prestige and so you can say that you tailor for the Royal Family. Hence prices aren't going to be as high because you're there for your name and reputation, not for the money. If you're tailoring to a billionaire who the majority of people won't know and might be relatively incognito (like the lady in the video), there's nothing really there for your reputation so of course you're going to go for higher prices. It's like when models wear something custom by a big name designer. The model definitely isn't going to be paying the same as the customer (if they pay anything at all). It's totally believable that the prices are 10x higher than what the Royal Family pays.
Daniel Johnson Personal Styling that’s not the point. Such a “high status” (rich) person shouldn’t have the chance to be exposed. Just because I didn’t recognise her doesn’t mean that others won’t. Btw if your the guy in the video, you do a good job, but please be more careful next time

People complaining about starving kids and the rich. There would be starving people with or without us. The ONLY thing the rich do is provide better quality life for people who can afford it and hire thousands of people who need the money. Without the rich, we wouldn't have computers, phones, watches, beautiful houses, pools, quality food and etc. They aren't taking money, why is it so hard for people to understand. I open up a lemonade stand, sell millions and make hundreds of thousands, is that me stealing from the poor or making the lives of people who bought it and sold it better? People are jealous and greedy. Now apply that lemonade stand concept to big companies that sell real shit.
I agree with some of your points, and I definitely, don't agree with people vilifying the rich, not all are bad. That said, there are many fallacies in your logic though 1. Most inventions, computers, phones, watches and all else you state were not created by the so-called " rich " they were created by innovators, some of whom acquired money and others who died broke and penniless due to " rich " people conning them. One example would be Nikola Tesla, he invented parts of almost all the things we can't live without today, he was paid next to a meager salary for his contributions and left destitute by JP Morgan. Your Lemonade stand concept works on lower levels of business, but it is way too simplistic for the higher levels, if corporations paid countries like Africa a fair price for say their gold, diamonds, cobalt etc although it wouldn't eradicate poverty there would be far less of it. I wont even go into how monopolies like walmart destroy businesses in entire cities because no other company/small medium businesses can compete. We also have endless businesses using their power to stop genuine progress to humanity and real innovation, the big oil companies killed the electric car, stopped magnetic levitation trains which could of helped us travel from US to China in 2-3 hours. All because to corporations profit is everything, not human life. I wont even go into how every year endless cures for cancer appear and after trillions of dollars into researching them all of them just disappear. We have an entire economy built on never curing the core root of the problem, because to big business that is a customer lost. Instead, we have a service industry that provides temporary fixes. These aren't my theories, look up " planned obsolescence " many large brands purposely design products that fail eventually so the customer then buys more or " who killed the electric car " many world famous economists agree.
Poor people are poor in the mind. Poor people are greedy and nasty. Their vicissitudes makes them poor. They are poor because they are dishonest! They are not punctual, they are disorganized and nasty in many many ways. I have been around them and you’ll be surprised to know how they think. I was born in a very poor house and grew up poor. Now that I’m rich, everybody wants money but when I send them to read books and work they spit on my face. I love it when I see them suffer.
@@frankcaceres1621 Seems we have completely different views on the poor then. I too grew up in a poor household, but at least I have a good amount of respect and appreciation for the dedication and hardship they go through, even when in extreme poverty. It's hard seeing your parents not being able to get out of their loophole of poverty. They never could access a higher education due to poverty as children, thus they couldn't get well paying jobs or live in a good condition. But they're amazing individuals, placing immense values in others and often going out of their way to volunteer and provide for other unfortunate people's. They also did so much for me, so I can't help but be immensely grateful for all they've done. The poor aren't the bad people. It's simply the person seeing the "poor", collectively, in a bad light. Sure, some poor people are bad. But that's the case with practically every community. You draw attention to the loudest minority in a community until you're so close-minded that you see only that minority, and not the rest of the people. Everyone has different experiences with the relationships they have and people they meet. You were unfortunate to meet those bad "poor", whereas I wasn't. But thank you for your personal recount.
" They aren't taking money, why is it so hard for people to understand." when a worker's labour produces £100 of goods and the rich take £95 for themselves, they are taking money from the worker.
I think the old adage 'more money than sense' definitely fits a few of these clients, i mean that suit just looked like half of the ones i own for £100. Not knocking your job but, the buyers, yeeeessshhhh.....
xneverwalkalonex - it certainly is a connoseurs choice. Some people love to spend money on art, some on holidays and so on, I think if a suit costs £100 and it works for your daily life then it has fulfilled it's purpose. If you have a passion for clothes and want to love them then this is where we come in with suits like this in rare materials made by super skilled people. I suppose it's a question of investment - if you spent £10,000 on a holiday that might seem crazy to someone who spends £10,000 on a suit - simply because of where value lies for the individual. We have clients who would spend £100,000 on a holiday, but prefer an off the peg suit for £1500. The opposite will be true for other clients.
Daniel Johnson Personal Styling Never expected a reply lol. Thanks for that.. I want to say again I am in no way knocking you for what you do, must be a very interesting line of work, I also don't want to sound like I'm against all wealthy people, I'm really not, I know one or two, although they're in no way as wealthy as these people, and they're good people, My Mum is Godmother to one of their kids, I just have to roll my eyes at some of them. And having said what I said re the suits I do like to try to find things that are ever so slightly 'off centre' for myself, not as easy to do as I thought, I would like something that's just a tiny bit different even to the point where the difference might not be noticeable unless you point it out but I would know it's there, Something like a suit or shirt with a barely noticeable print on it, something sort of subtly rock n rolll like an ageing rocker might wear, cos that's what I am lol.
If you think the fabrics depicted in this video are in the slightest comparable to that of a £100 suit, you have extremely little to no knowledge about fibers and fabrics - and I'm not saying this to bash you. The fabric for a £100 suit would normally be 100 % polyester. Polyester is a synthetic (man-made) material produced on large scale in factories everywhere around the world. The vicuña is an animal that is endemic to western South America and only lives at high altitude in the Andes. It was endangered with extinction in the 1970s. It has the second finest wool in the world, after the Tibetan antelope. The trade in the Tibetan antelope's wool is currently banned worldwide because that wool can only be obtained after the antelope is killed and the latter has become an endangered species. Anyway, this Wikipedia template is a good starting point if any of this is of interest to you: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Fibers
xneverwalkalonex I have a suit that I bought on eBay that has the label “Canali made for Bernini, Beverly Hills” which is fantastic to wear and the trousers of this double-breasted suit have wider legs than suits I’ve worn. It feels so cool to the touch and superbly comfortable. It always turns heads and I get lots of compliments. It only cost me £80. The most expensive suit jacket you tried on, looked horrible. Even if I was a billionaire, I still wouldn’t think it was worth the price. The gold-striped fabric was very nice, though. If I get a bespoke suit, I will ask that the trouser legs are the same width as my Canali’s whatever jacket style it has.
I think it's an interesting job and sometimes very hard earned money. I envy you for the trips to savile row, these are absolute masters of their craft. And if I were a man and had the money I would let them make me a suit. Something tailored to your measurements is great and unique. And to all these jealous people, all this spent money goes into the economy, in a bank account it would be useless and none of you know how much this people might be spending on charity. How much are you doing it you are above poverty level? Are you living on your minimum to spend the rest on the poor? And if you can’t say that 100 Pound suit is the same as a tailored one, they might look the same to someone how has no clou but to weir something tailored to you is a very different thing. And just for the kicks: Your 100 Pound suit has been made by poor women and children in Asia enslaved by the clothing industry, this suit definitely has been made by people how can live from what they get paid. So the savile row suit is actually morally better as the cheap one..... And no, not alle richt people aber evil and not all normal or poor ones are good.

Damn....look at all the salty-ass comments. People are jealous af...but we all know that if _you_ had that much money, you'd be doing the same thing.
Instead of judging and being a keyboard warrior, get out, work hard, and be same "mysterious" client.
Kronos - finally someone who gets it! Good on you, keep grafting.
+Kronos, what the fuck hard work did she do? She's spending her husband's money.
I wouldn't be buying that nice of clothes I spend money on charities and enjoying life
I think Daniel knows all about salty-asses........
Thank you for the video Daniel. I really like your spectacle frame. Would you be kind to share the brand/ store you bought it from. Cheers!
I believe if God made you good looking even Zara would look High end on you.
New Hi- Tech fabric washes itself from BODY Sweat or fluids .Awesome.
£800,000 on 3 suits, or feeding 100,000 children. Which is better?
It's actually around 740k on the watches, with the suits around 60k
300,000 on suits since it will last longer. Meals will only last a day and poop 💩 it.
Better teach a man how to fish 🎣 than give him a fish 🐠.
Definitely £800,000 on 3 suits.
Informative video ! Thumbs up
And to think people are starving outside these shops
For a tailored suit, how would you know the measurements as the gift was meant for a surprise?
Matthias Lau - The customers wife gave us the measurements 👍🏼
waooooo! it's very important to wear expensive things when you've work so hard for your money.
Paul Harris yes, you are absolutely correct
Hello! Great video and amazing sense of style! Wondering where you got that grey windowpane suit from! Would love to buy one!
Justin Skariah - thanks! it's a few years old now! From Hardy Amies, the cloth is a linen, silk and wool blend but I'm not sure which mill it came from, good luck :D
Imagine being so blinded by capitalism that you think money is the driving force for everything.

Seems we have completely different views on the poor then.
" They aren't taking money, why is it so hard for people to understand."
when a worker's labour produces £100 of goods and the rich take £95 for themselves, they are taking money from the worker.
Where do you clean it then?
Who is the guy who sold you the watches the owner of the boutique Daniel
ricardo solis - He wasn't the owner, just a chap who helps me. Davide.
So his name is Davide
Thats Correct
Did you have to put in a request for it?
Great insight into the world of luxury! Do you have plans for more uploads of similar videos were we get to follow you on your trips?

will fishka - join our training programme? ;-)
Daniel Johnson Personal Styling Haha I would, only 16... And in Australia. But very tempting
will fishka - that's why we're doing it online ;-)
Anyway, this Wikipedia template is a good starting point if any of this is of interest to you:

Believe me the suit will not look like yours
xneverwalkalonex
I have a suit that I bought on eBay that has the label “Canali made for Bernini, Beverly Hills” which is fantastic to wear and the trousers of this double-breasted suit have wider legs than suits I’ve worn.
Can someone tell the name of the song of 4:00 please?
Buying presents for a high-class escort to give to her rich boyfriend, using his own money. Well, of course she's not worried about the cost.
That's disrespectful
Pats & Eddie said you were spot on.
@undwallace likes your style..cheers mate.
🌎🌍🌏😻😻 Xxxooo.
What was the first watch with the flip feature called?
Its a Reverso, invented for polo players, but a really popular classic watch
8:44 - most of your clients have earned it? 😂. No doubt involved in either tax avoidance, zero hour contracts for employees, oligarchs who profited from the fall of governments, share price manipulation etc. You don't get that rich without really treading down on others. It'll mean nothing once their eyes close for the final time.
Yep. No one "earns" a billion dollars, they take it. Let's close their eyes for the final time.
Tax avoidance - Dan knows all about that!!!!!!!
Why does everyone use music that overwhelms the monologue?!?
800k for Suits and some watches? Shiiit
What's the value addition? He seems to pick the most expensive items everywhere.
I don't care what you're trying to express Daniel. A frayed denim shirt with an elegant jacket just doesn't work, Sir. CMJ
Charles Jensen - Everyone is entitled to their view, I can't say I agree with you in anyway in this case.
Agree. That's like being blue collar vs white collar. You're stepping down here. The h&m type of shirt with no tie... That's just wrong.
Sarhan A - you may have heard of two chaps called Tom Ford? Ralph Lauren?
goo.gl/images/kTfrhf
He pulled it off though
Daniel Johnson Personal Styling Personal style is *PERSONAL* besides it's one of the easiest way to dress down a suit, everything is perfectly tailored so I don't see anything wrong with that
You know, I would actually hate such a job. How can you be satisfied with more humble products when you encounter such luxury on a daily basis ?
That watch salesman's body and facial language screams, "I'm screwing you over and I will make a nice profit on this"! Not that every salesman is not bending you backwards... but most don't make it that obvious.
Blair Kullaj - I can't say I agree, it's most likely nerves when there is a camera crew, 2 PR staff and the whole store watching the filming. Besides which, were not just throwing clients money away to salesmen.
In that case I will take your word for it... as long as he doesn't have the same mannerism off-camera! Nobody's perfect hahah!
Once I went to a high profile meeting. I noticed some really nice suits ....but the ones that smashed the senses, after the incognito was revealed, were from Banana Republic. hhm..... the difference between the Banana and the $$$$$$$ suits was clear, parked in the garage !!
Absolutely Love the life of Excess it's a beautiful way to live!!! Capitalism and Business is a beautiful thing
I remember this one guy was so wealthy he created a park and then filled it with genetically modified dinosaurs.
