Turn on airplane mode turn it off immediately and then spam place in same spot and once it reconnects it has placed 50+
I think you should've placed the crab cages while the aurora was happening bc the luck boost wont work after the crab cages already caught something.

I tested 1k crab cage on aurora with and without Merlin boost. with luck boost, i got 250k and 120k without luck boost(not include sea mine with rare mutations)
