@@mrparkx2 It is insane to me how quickly a bunch of people started going "Cover is over. The end of the corporate Vtuber company is done, indies will rule the world."
@@Boyzby ikr. The worst one I've read was by a trash of a person who said that even pekora and all the other artists should fail. Faq, the girls did not struggle to this point for this man
That sounds very drastic, but the fans should stop putting Yagoo and Cover on a pedestal. Better give that pedestal to the talents or even better stop putting anyone on pedestals lol @@mrparkx2
My favorite Let's Player (shit, that term dates me) has been around for nearly 20 years and I've been watching them since their first video. Kronii doesn't realize it but as long as you're making that content, it's like comfort food. It's something stable that you can come back to. As an old head who was watching anime in the 90s, your hobbies rarely leave you. I'll be watching "anime girls" in my 50s, i'm already doing it in my 40s Also shout-out to the other dinosaurs here, lol
Shout-out to you, too. Same here. Watched people like Slowbeef and the Freelance Astronauts and Chip Cheezum. And, I guess, to the point here, some are still around making cool things (a bit older and arguably wiser, like we are), and some aren't. I do my best to be both grateful and supportive to those still around for sticking with it, both for themselves and for us, and also to hope those not around anymore are doing well and happy. Stuff changes, and we roll with it, and appreciate what's still here and the good memories from back then. Cheers.
In one of the girls' memberships where this kind of stuff was recently talked about after the graduation, she said that things like game perms are frankly the lowest possible worry that anyone could have in the company which is why it's such an easy thing for the talents to talk or rant about. Each member has their own worries that is unique to them. Some may be for specific projects, some may be related to song and music perms. The takeaway is that there isn't anything that can be called "the big problem" that's causing the talents to turn away from the company. It can be one big thing for one person, or several things built up over time with each person having a different tolerance level. And as Bae said publicly, things are still very much in a much better state than it was two years ago. If you've ever worked for a company for a long time, you'd know that all of this is actually pretty darn normal all things considered.
I really trust the first girl you mentioned and that stream made me feel a lot better, but sometimes I wonder if she has a higher tolerance due to her interests and familiarity with the more unhealthy aspects of the issues in those industries. But combined with what Kronii and Bae have said, I feel even better. It still really sucks though, it feels really bad to tell someone "this is normal" when their oshi graduates.
I like Bae damn I like all of them I don't have an oshi but something doesn't click, 2 years ago we didn't have multiple graduations in a year and another bunch not streaming for whatever simple or complex reasons, maybe all this graduations came all in a batch because if it was gonna happen anyways maybe Cover wanted to get it over with take the PR hit once and move on to a couple more years without a hit, but the two situations combined has me worried no matter what, in any case we will have to wait and see what happens
@@your_turn361 The point is one of these graduations could've have been the result of discussions that went on for years, while the others could have been shorter (or longer). It may feel like it it's all at once and that makes it feel a lot worse, but it probably just happened to culminate at the same time and these graduations might not have much to do with each other. This year feels like the odd one out from our perspective, but maybe last year was actually the weird year, and this is more "normal". So maybe we just had it really really good before. At least, that's what I think the girls are trying to tell us, and I do trust them
@ At the end we know nothing you could be right or I could be, one thing is for sure something changed, last year, this year, 2years ago something did if it's gonna be for the better time will tell, and for trust I hope you don't take me wrong here I like the girls I'll support them in anything they wanna do but I've never felt like I need to trust them to enjoy what they do so I never thought about it at the end they are people and when it comes to people I trust the ones I know
I mean game perms are the one thing that management can have restricted control over. It's only a problem if management is dragging their feet to submit requests. Once the request is made it's up to the devs/publishers to reply.
So she's basically the same as Peko. They are just airing out some of their frustrations, but they aren't big a deal. Like she said, do not use her words as a shield in attacking the management. Guys in the same way that they are an outlet for our everyday lives, let us be an outlet for them. Let them vent their feelings to us, without fear of it being taken out of control. What do you think happens when we always make a mountain out of a molehill? All of a sudden they dont want to tell us their feelings anymore because it could cause trouble. Then what? They start keeping it to themselves, building up stress to the point they can't take it anymore?
or due to this event, cover now allowing the talent to be more transparent about this... previously all the frustration was done in membership...but now they can talk publicly.
@@arizeta3540 sometimes people just don't talk about that stuff, because look at how people get so paraniod and angry. I think is not that Cover tells them not to talk about it, It's just that they don't talk about it becuase it's not that big a a deal, but people will get crazy over small things anyways.
Friendly reminder that she's the same person who publicly complained about the very same company non giving her gaming permits and not answering her emails about it for months, so definetely not one to blindly side with the company and say such things as a PR response. Also, "it makes me kind of suprised that people want me around, I guess"...awww, when she's out of character, Kronii sounds a bit insecure, sometimes. She's a wonderful talent, of course people would want her to stay.
It’s good getting the views of the other members, so I appreciate it. To me, Fauna just wants to go in a different direction than what the company is heading, which is fine. I’ll appreciate what time we have left and then wish her the best in her next life
People really took "disagreement with management" too seriously. That's pretty normal in a corporate environment. If Fauna decided that she doesn't want to work under the company anymore, then so be it. Respect her decision and move on. You don't have to doomposting everywhere based on your pure speculations.
Exactly, i left a good workplace as well because the focus of the work shifted and my own interrests shifted as well and so i decided to change my workplace... In the end she is/was an employee and limitations, companies goals and Talent goals just may start to not align anymore over time... Thats perfectly normal...
Yeah, in my last job I had many MANY disagreements with management. Of course I listened to my manager's advice so I could meet up with the monthly productivity expectations, but when new hires were complaining about "their feelings" towards me, that's when I stood my ground. I also reported how the new hires were doing shady stuff with the accessible info in the system and whatnot, but they STILL took the new hires' complains at heart and pressured me to resign. I'm not dealing with corpos anytime soon.
it sucks but that's pretty much that. I worked with a coworkers for 5 or 6 years in the same place, we started together but last year it was the last one because she couldn't keep up\had many disagreements with the chief and switched job, it felt bad but it was understandable and she still has contacts with us and once in a while visit to our work when she has time. I can tell she misses the job and it was a hard decision but that's life.
It seems like the opposite to me. If you're in your 20s you should be out there finding real girls. Anime girls are perfect for old men in retirement homes.
We have to remember being a member of Hololive is a job for these girls. And like every other job, there will be frustrating components. No job is so perfect that there would be nothing to complain about. And everyone has different limits, values, and priorities which will determine whether they wish to stay with the company or not.
Yeah, at the end of the day company and Fauna's goal, mission are differing. So Fauna just quit the job, just like us when we find the job is not suitable anymore for us Guys Kronii is challenging us, we're gonna do this till we're 90!! Just like a certain evil mouse company forcing their actors xD
I think a lot of people have been collectively traumatized by Nijisanji, heard frustration with management, and just thought “ah so somethin shady” Edit: I would just like to make it clear I do not think Holo is going the way of Niji. Are there distressing problems? Yes. But Niji had like lasting psychological effects on its workers to the point some almost offlined themselves. So I think the comparison to Niji is a bit disingenuous
@@mshake7056 But at the same time. It feels abnormal for people who get a job at a company to work as long as the talents do. It's a job and you're not shackled for life lol.
@MINIMAN10000 i remember being in the Niji Fandom and seriously, I'm getting deja vu with all the excuses. Yeah, it's a job. I get it, but 7 graduations in a year is not normal and you can keep saying it is, but the rest of us can see something ain't right.
@@mshake7056 Shouldn't count some of them that left for health, family or terminations reasons. Which brings it down to 3 that left due to disagreements or the change in company direction.
Kinda half-yes, half-no. Regardless of the rainbow incident, what we're seeing in Hololive right now is pretty damn concerning. That much is for sure. People are just kinda jumping the gun with the whole mass meltdown. This could very well be the first winds of shit actually hitting the fan, but as long as Cover is able send off the departing talents amicably, the comparison is kinda disrespectful both towards the Niji vets who got put through so much there, and also towards Hololive because they are still massive steps away from being in the circle of hell the rainbow mafia is in.
This is the best response to the situation so far, since she even tells you its not PR or forced and she sounds natural. Its perfectly normal, however, to freak out when 4 graduations and a few terminations happen in 1 year. When the water gets too hot, the frog jumps out and doesn't burn. Its also true that some people defend the company like its their own, which is a bit iffy to say the least. That said, I guess things aren't that bad and the grads were just personal decisions. Im glad.
It is not normal to freak out over 4 graduations. The turnover in Hololive is extremely low for an entertainment company so having 4 talents leave in one year isn't much, it's just a more normal amount. If they have a single gen come out each year they're still expanding. A 5 person gen means they'd be +1 after losing 4 which just shows how small the numbers really are. In any other entertainment company the churning would be the industry average of around 11%. Hololive is around 100 talents so losing 4 is still only a 4% turnover rate. You'd be hard pressed to find such low numbers anywhere else, let alone an entertainment company.
My favorite was Shiori's response. I mean, her previous life was severely abused by her group after all. If she says she likes Hololive, you can bet it isn't an abusive company, if it was, she would leave it very fast.
Yeah but VTubing is different from other entertainment industries in a BIG way. If you leave, that's IT. You will NEVER see that talent ever again. The model is shut down. If an actor leaves, they are in other movies, shows, or whatever. If a VTuber leaves a company, their persona, the art, and importantly the connections and network of friends is gone to the wind. Offline it's fine, but a VTuber leaving means you will never see the person who left interact with former coworkers ever again
The impression I have is: Ame: Leaving to pursue projects she doesn't think she can do with Holo Chloe: Leaving because she thinks she is too low-energy and/or might have health problems and doesn't think she can keep up with the behind-the-scenes workload. Fauna: Leaving because of disagreements with her manager and/or management about how she should run her channel. (I suspect there's a handful of bad managers spoiling the soup in there; I believe that is why Vesper and Magni departed on the holostars side)
I keep coming back to Randon Neuring's video about why corpo vtubers leave, and the first thing he suggests is that managers don't get paid to innovate and in fact consider it risky. If you've got a risk adverse manager who is otherwise doing a great job, I can see how that might become stifling, not least because you can't really ask for a new manager without opening up a whole mess.
Fauna has always liked her ASMR. I think thats something she likes doing and honestly i think thats content hololive just does not want as some have use it in a lude way and it has more a bad rep now. Add to that other random disagreements and i could see her leaving to go in the direction she wants.
I'm only guessing of course, but Vesper leaving partly could've been cos of a bad manager, but also partly cos he realised that he's just a bad fit for corpo culture in general, with all the obligations it brings to act nice and in line. Sadly I never found a connection to Randon after that. It's the magic of inside references and collabs lost.
@@joshuawa As I recall it, Cover nearly lost channels in the past over ASMR, so it's probably less about brand risk and more about trying to appease RUclips. If you see stupid shit on RUclips, 90% of the time it's because of RUclips.
every time changes happen, there are people who love it, people who okay with it, and there are people who dislike it, there is no right or wrong, just as lamy said in her yesterday's morning stream, there are people leaving due to the company gets bigger, but some people would also leave the company if the company doesn't get bigger. i totally agree with lamy, just think about people like suisei or calli, and many members who love big stage and more media exposure, if company didn't get big, after two or three years they might also leave, suisei at one point almost left but was stopped by a chan, because she basically had a disagreement or difference in direction with innk music.
When I'm old I'm totally gonna be that guy that send supas like "Hello from the old folk's home! Me and the boys love watching your stream after the afternoon retro gaming time! We played Halo and Starcraft!" I'm going to enjoy watching Vtubers/anime and playing games until I die, and I know I'm not the only one who thinks so, so I wouldn't worry about us not sticking around!
Before, it was also kind of a shame we never really learn exactly why someone was graduating. Now, we've revealed to ourselves why that's the case; people go absolutely insane with conspiracy theories from the slightest whiff of a reason for graduation.
People forget that Fauna is a client and worker at the same time for hololive. If she wants to go indie hololive cant really say "one of our bigger talents is leaving us to be indenedent" as a company so they say "disagreement with management". Its that simple.
@@Gilicus18793420blazingfury No. It's all about what you watch, a lot of communities on YT right now seem to be going through a massive circlejerk of doom of constant drama and hate because that drives clicks. It's making everybody react on a hair trigger and be constantly angry, it's also terrible on a community. The same is happening with the Star Citizen YT streamers, they built a community of people that hate the game because they've been ranting on every bug, issues and rumour, heck they've even entered a "Company is in a death spiral" phase lately, because they fired 12 people out of 1200... It's giving them clicks so they went with it and now they're destroying the community and what made them relevant in the first place.
Honestly, it's the other way around. There will always be a handful of tinfoil hatters, but it's *because* we only get a vague reason that everyone starts brewing conspiracy theories. The more you say, the less that sane people will feel inclined to dig for a hidden truth instead of just believing what they said. If you just say part of the reason, of course people very willing to believe it are going to ask themselves "but what's the unsaid part of the reason!?"
Change is scary, but it's also inevitable, and necessary. Life will have good changes and bad changes, and we can't have one without the other. People's lives change at different paces and head in different directions. Fauna's path just doesn't align with hololive's anymore, but that doesn't mean that its the same for all holomems. That is to say: trust your oshis. They are grown adults- they don't need our coddling, but they do need our love and support for whatever journey they choose to embark on.
"Some would say that all things must end, so that the next can come to pass." Fauna finally met Paarthurnax in Skyrim just recently. Interesting timing to see that line.
Change for the sake of it is not good, ESPECIALLY when it's potentially being influenced by outside factors that care for nothing other than numbers and lines on a graph. This situation is FAR MORE COMPLEX than just "things are changing".
@@hewhoshallnotbenamed5168 At the end of the day, we don't know anything that's happening, except that some talents don't like the direction the company is taking in the future. Of course it could also be a bad thing, but if that's the case only time will tell, we'll see in the next year or so. Speculation is only going to stir more drama, and unless it's something like the Coco situation or the Doki situation, I doubt it's something the girls want the fans to do.
*coughs* Kronii: "Uh, Dad, you're like 50 years old!" Me, 54, watching this clip. Right now, I work, play, do things with family and when I sit down to relax... I watch silly anime girls yap about things, it is fun and soothing and much more pleasant than news or sports. I have every intention of spending most of my waking hours when I retire in a VR rig of some caliber, hell, full dive or upload my consciousness if we have the tech. I was there at the dawn of the internet FFS, I plan to be there at the dusk.
I think what most people will miss is their public interactions on stream as their Holo personas. But I'm glad to know they're gonna still be friends and are gonna be ok behind the scenes. I would be even more sad if I didn't know where Fauna is going afterwards
People doubt the girls are saying because "they are working for the company". But I would at least believe what Kronii says, and I'm not even a Krony myself. This is a lady that won't take shit from anyone, to the point of almost having a friction with other managers in defence of Kroma. I believe she won't take shit from management when it comes down to things.
This makes sense. Some talents naturally become the canary in a coal mine sort of thing, where if they are the ones to express the desire to leave, then it’s bad, BAD. And Kronii (Kiara too) is one of those talents.
If I wanna be honest here, I feel sad when I see videos like these. While we already saw a perfect bad example of how a corporate works with human resoureces such as Nijisanji EN, it feels wrong to assume the a few bad eggs going on in an organization would mean they are reaching some kind of dark path that they can no longer turn away from. Anyone thinking that a whole organization would keep its original members until its end is harboring very naive thoughts. People thinking members of a corpo can only join and not quit (apart from any real reason to reitre such as old age or grave injury, disease, or disorder) is like picking up an entire pile of things with your two arms and not expecting any of them to fall from your grasp. Having a job life is like a survival game, where you are obligated to yourself to handle whatever obstacle it throws at you until you can no longer do so and you are eliminated. In a corporation that desires growth, it is unrealistic to hope for that without adding a few more standards that makes rules. These rules may not be or no longer be suitable to all members of a company until both sides realize their interests now diverge, resulting in those members leaving for strong reasons. Throughout this year, Mel, A-chan, Aqua, Ame, Chloe, and Fauna leaving is caused mostly by their own decisions for a variety of reasons and it isn quite unfair to asssume right away something evil happened like with Nijisanji EN. If such things happen, we would've seen more people leave at once. Another thing that bothered me was that people worry about who may be next to leave after Chloe and Fauna. While I understand the genuine concern and desire for the girls to stay and still grow as Hololive's Idols, in my perspective, it felt like the Fans no longer trust their respective Oshis, which I could feel like they felt that, too. At least when it comes to the newest Generations (HoloAdvent, ReGloss, HoloJustice, and FlowGlow), all the Girls that join Hololive hoped they could bring their talents to life for the company's benefit and theirs (mostly financially) while they still have fun doing it. What we fans are mostly silently obligated to do is just give our support for as long as we can, whether we give a Superchat or two, buy their merch, or just click the same Videos they make more than a few times. At least when we do that and certain Talents decide that it is time to part ways, they can look back and see their efforts were not in vain and they can leave happy. Besides, when a Talent ot any corporate member "graduates", it is not like they could just disappear off the face of the Earth. We, the people of the Internet, always have ways to track people down, even to a dangerous level. At least when a Hololive Girl leaves (with a positive send-off), we know where to see their next adventures in life (while we should try our best to no longer bring up their old pasts for their sakes). As I recall from IRyS saying it in her Stream (and got clipped), just remember to support your Oshis while you can. Like everything, especially Life, nothing lasts forever so let them know of the many good times you had with them. Should the day ever come that we are not together with our respective Oshis, they will continue to shine like gold in our memories and our smiles and moments in theirs.
I’m sure people like Ame and Fauna don’t want the discourse to be “yall need to stop watching our friends. No more support. Down with Cover” Like if that was on the line I’d be terrified to make a career choice. How do you feel comfortable knowing if you choose to leave your job a million strangers will riot and try to torpedo your coworker’s careers?
I apologize for not reading your entire comment, but I had to pose this question to someone, at the very least: Doesn't it make you a little uneasy when Bae or Kronii say things like, "I don't THINK I'll be graduating, not SOON at least" that's somewhat of a paraphrase, but would you say my feelings are a tad misplaced when it comes to the other talents' continued stay qua their status as Hololive members?
@@redguard1607 They mean exactly that. They'll Graduate one day but not too soon due to bad vibes. Look at Tokino Sora, for example. She's been in Hololive for 6 years and still insists to still be an Idol of Hololive. Eventually, with a few more years, she'd actually retire simply due to age. My main message in this Comment of mine is to have Fans not worry about the Girls' Graduations and just enjoy the current moments with them. It's not like most of them disappear instantly when Graduation is announced. The Graduating Girl announces it ahead of time because she respects the time her Fans spent to give them the attention they worked for and would like to settle everything peacefully with them before they go, such as Fauna right now, playing all the Game she promised she'd play with the Saplings and completing her "World Tree" in Minecraft. At least with this final Month for her, she has the chance to say her final goodbyes with the Saplings and the Hololive Girls who were closest to her.
The bottom line is that this is a job these people are working in. As the company grows, contracts change, and the new terms can't sit right for eveyone who works there. There's gonna be a few who disagree with the new terms and want to seek work elsewhere. It doesn't mean the company is toxic.
People are using this opportunity to attack the Company and also attack Yagoo. Also doomposting is also a thing, been seeing that a lot. People don't know or are forgetting that "disagreement with management" can mean a lot of things not just disagreeing with your manager
Well, if Cover would kindly be a little more specific, then people wouldn't have to fill in the blanks. Hololive is still the gold standard for VTubers but there IS an issue and the first step to resolving it is recognizing it and taking accountability.
@akaneriyun4774 that's not how companies work lmao they aren't going to reveal the details to the fans cause they have nothing to do with the contract
@@F13FAR0 Okay, but by the same token you could also say "that's not how fans work lmao". Maybe companies gonna company, but fans also aren't obligated to way that or the company always in a positive light. Like yeah, sure. Cover isn't Anycolor. No doubt about that difference. But they are in fact still a company, and the general rule always holds: Brands are not your friends. We should be here for the talents, not the brands.
It just seems like a lot since 2 happened back to back this time but you gotta think statistically if they add 5 more girls every couple years a graduation rate of 1% means one person at 10 and 10 people at 100. So it's going to happen more frequently even if it's at the same percentage the more they add
People really looking for any excuse to take their anger out on the company. Of course they dont have completely fair practices, it is still a company, but they clearly haven’t had the downfall people claimed. Pretty much all the people that graduated had been well past their 3rd year of activity, this was clearly never meant to be a lifelong career, and any “disagreements with management” dosent mean a violation of rights, its a disagreement, like wanting to do stuff and play games that the company couldn’t allow, stuff like that that builds up and eventually leads to too much stifling of creativity. It’s the give and take of being in a company. The reason Fauna isn’t in affiliate is likely because she didn’t want to be bogged down by the company in anyway, she wants to be fully free to do what she wants. Just be happy for her.
Im glad this is being said. Cover is a company, a company I like, but still a company. I've left jobs plenty of times and it doesn't mean I was working for the legion of doom. Sometimes good employees get lost in the shuffle and the short end of the stick in a aggressively growing company and leave. It sucks, but it happens. The fact that Ame is still working there, just to a different capacity, tells that its far less dramatic than the theories ive seem thrown out there.
I'm legitimately following a few German content creators for 24 years now. First in 2000 they were moderators in a German show called Giga Games that was like Let's Plays but before RUclips existed, then they created their own Gaming show on MTV Germany, then they made a RUclips channel/internet TV channel before Twitch was a thing and now they're doing RUclips, Twitch and podcasts. I've seen them grow up and even heard how their kids grew up lol Watching streams is just what parts of my generation does instead of watching TV like my parents generation did. And personally, I think watching funny anime girls and boys stream is much better than watching the trash TV my parents did like big brother or casting shows where regular people are exploited and taken advantage of for profit (not saying it doesn't happen in VTubing at all, but looking at Kiara's case for example it's at least much better). And Anime girls don't need to get plastic surgery or even make-up for that matter, they just get a new outfit :D Much more healthy!
The real thing is, the Hololive we used to like is now changing into a new product. It's our decision if we like it and stay or just move on to something else.
If there are people I'd believe in EN not pulling PR stunts just to save the company, it would be Kronii, Kiara and Calli. Among the talents of EN, I see that they are the most headstrong when it comes to their own opinions. Yeah, they do say say that they are angry and stuff but at the end of the day, if it was really that much of a "negative", they wouldn't waste their time and just pack up and leave. These three I can see not taking such bullshit. They are as straightforward as they can get. On JP side, there's Fubuki. She might appear fluffy and soft-spoken at times but when it comes to dealing with certain issues, she's really stern and direct about it. And ID, well don't get me started there. I'm half southeast asian myself and my relatives don't take any slight on any of them just on a higher level. They will not take a beating and just shut their mouth just because someone said so. My southeast asian friends are also the same and so far, no one in ID have had that big of a problem. Yes, all of them are sad but atleast I can believe in their integrity as individuals.
This is very nice to hear. I am also really worried but listening to the girls gives me a sense of relief. I guess we'll just have to move on and accept things for now.
Ngl I have been slightly surprised at the panic that people have been having, I mean we’ve been through several graduations now so we should know the routine. Also not sure if it’s just me but leaving because of disagreement with management is much better then to stay in a workplace where they may not be happy with. Just relax and see where things go.
Hololive has been remarkable stable over the years, so two announcements just days apart spooked some fans. Though it does show that talents aren't locked in to some graduation schedule as has been suggested exists at another company.
Unrelated but I hope to see the clip of her being like “oh yeah I really like when guys in movies or games have like their faces hidden. It’s a nice mystique” followed by chat crying in despair since clocks have faces. “She hates us! 😭”
I also somewhat feel people are under the assumption the affiliate path will be the norm going forward, but the option to permanently graduate is still very much there. Being concerned about what goes on behind the scenes is okay, but what goes on there will likely never be known to us. I genuinely hope that people can respect the choice of a permanent graduation following this instead of guessing issues that may or may not be there in the first place. I'd also like to stress that being critical of something you like is ok, but constant doomposting isn't the way
I mean if I left a job that I wasn’t really vibing with anymore I’m probably not gonna also choose to be associated with them in an affiliate state afterwards lol. Can be friends with the coworkers you liked without all that
i think we should all remember the wise words of our fubuking, if the company is doing something shady, she'll leave and the fact that that hasnt happend should give reassurance that the company isnt doing anything shady
One thing i hate about the internet is people will get like 1%% of the information about a thing and then make up their minds who is at fault and go on a witch hunt. We dont know what happened, we probably never will, but the sky probably isnt falling.
@@cck6591 yes I never work before but the point is if you watch the video, Kronii said If it's that bad then I would leave and yes, they all can leave the company and still be success because of fanbase they gain and did they leave? 3:13 But... What's wrong for an old 40 year old guy for watching an anime girl streaming 😭 It's good to hear that Kronii is being light hesrted about Fauna's graduation. We all need to be like her and stay strong for both our Clock Lady and Mommy Kirin.
Four actually. Aqua and Ame leaving stoked the flames, but seeing their indie selves thriving temporarily calmed people down. Then Chloe graduated, partly due to health reasons. "Ok kinda worrying, what the heck is Management doing?" Then days later Fauna announced her graduation. Not the AmeWay graduation, the "I'm not going back here" graduation. Then her reasoning: disagreements with management. "Wtf does that mean? Did they fight?? THEY BULLIED FAUNA OH MY GOD-" Is what happened. I understand monkebrain going monkebrain, like it or not HoloFans are more parasocial than most vtuber fans, and vtuber fans are already more parasocial than the general population. Between that and people that hate Hololive, hate vtubers and dramamongers looking to cause chaos or get clicks from this the current pandemonium is understandable to me.
Whatever happens next, I have a good feeling that Fauna will continue to have support from both her gen-mates and the rest of Hololive. There seem to be some genuine friendships in there, so I fully expect them to continue when she graduates.
I’m also angry at the company at first since Fauna is my kami-oshi. But it is what it is, this is a company doing business and the person being an employee can change job if they decided that the place isn’t right for her. We still don’t really know the full picture anyway, so no need to get worked up for nothing. Keep on supporting who you love no matter where they are coming from is the best choice for now.
They're technically not even employees, they're independent contractors as far as I know. That's the reason graduations can happen relatively fast and most of the VAs, for a lack of a better word, can do their things beside Hololive. I think most of the girls would be perfectly fine financially without Hololice, but they want the opportunities and live the streaming.
We also dont need, neither shouldnt know the full picture. It can be as simple as she didnt agree with her new comtract and decided to not renew. We dont need to know further then "I dont agree with Management decisions". Peopla are just in full panic mode cause Kurosanji kicked the Grad bucket 5 stories up high
Ngl, I think it’d be pretty wholesome to see a bunch of gramps & grans bonding over their favorite ojisan/obasan vtubers in the retirement home break room tv. (Just have to make sure the ones with dementia don’t get access to the superchat button.) To quote another interactive cartoon character: _”Till you’re 90…”_
There's no point in making anyone work in a job they dont want to be in anymore. Yes there's a the question of "why go indie then?" Hololive isn't just being a Vtuber, they're Idols. And maybe some just decide that they don't enjoy it anymore or they wanna keep vtubing without the idol stuff

Do something, _anything_ that isn't doomposting and hypothesising and spectulating. Please.
God yes I didn't want to be insensitive but this really isn't a big deal, she isn't dying and she is very likely to start streaming soon after graduating. This blowing up like this is because the community is acting like they are entitled to information about the talents they really aren't and is REALLY para social.
"Get a job, and realise that you don't know how jobs work." Yeah, just realize you are a slave and the company property, if they tell you to bark you bark. Never dare to talk back to the company. Every job I had the management never dared to talk down to me because they were afraid. These people are just cowards, it is not "how jobs work" they just want to put down others lower in hierarchy. I had a female boss who humiliated people all the time, but anything she asked for me was "please can you do it for me?" Not everyone is treated the same at jobs, jobs don't "work this way" people are treated the way they deserve at jobs.
@@ntolmanwasn't it the graduation statement itself is disparagement? like who the fack allows your ex worker saying they have an issue with the company and the company acknowledges that 😂 like bro,let be realistic...
I think Kronii might be the best indicator after this, on the EN side, of whether or not COVER goes off the deep-end. I felt like this was very down-to-earth and honest. Glad she made these comments.
I appreciate the very realistic response from Kronii. I doubt that Cover is going in a bad direction -- it's just that as the company has grown over the last few years, it's natural that what some talents want to do will diverge from what the company wants to do, while other talents still find that their own goals and the company's goals still align pretty well. For anyone else who's worked at a small/medium-sized company, this kind of churn will look pretty familiar; it just cuts especially deep in this space, when it's your favourite creators who decide to leave.
Everyone seems to forget, Fubuki built this company and as long as shes there then hololive will be okay. Trust in fubuki! if she graduates then shit is bad
All the people crying, "They must be leaving, they disagreed with management" have clearly never had a job before. I despise my management and I still work
I get that people are disappointed with Fauna leaving and I'm too. Though I didn't watch her streams very often, I enjoyed her interactions with the other girls and I'll miss her RP streams with the rest of Promise but all the doomposting isn't helping anyone. Backlash can of course help but we don't even know what we're complaining about except some faceless management that may or may not be a problem. Feeling the need to leave the company over it isn't a good sign and I don't want to dismiss Fauna's decision but at the same time citing disagreement doesn't necessarily mean good or bad even though it have lead to a bad outcome. Could be as simple as a creative decision they disagree over or payment or it could be multiple small things that have built up leading to frustration and feeling the need to leave. At the end it's hard to criticise anyone when we hardly have any information about the situation. So unless it comes out that they're being treated badly or they feel worse by being in holo or they have shit deals, then I still have hope. The complaints are justified but please don't bring the negativity to the rest of holo and don't spread rumors or doompost. I'll try to be there when Fauna graduates, as long as it's not in the middle of the night for me.

@@shary0especially Kiara is very clear about when she is dissatisfied with the company. I remember a bunch of times where she openly complained about stuff and she is still around.
I believe the speculation issue grew from hearing their minor frustrations, the timing of Chloe's announcement with Fauna's, Fauna's reason, the last three graduations and talents reasoning, and overall our lack of understanding of what's happening behind scenes that can't go on public except for vague words. And we have people taking advantage of the panic, doom posting, water mongering and spreading misinformation and biased opinions with little no no research.
Kronii’s response has been the most reassuring for me so far. She’s not one to sugarcoat things or brush aside genuine problems. And being in the same unit as Fauna and a close friend, she’d definitely know if something were really wrong with how management treated her and stick up for her. Still, I won’t be fully satisfied unless we get a statement from Fauna herself. Her announcement really sounded like she was throwing shade at the company on the way out. If that was not her intention, I hope she’ll clear that up so her fans can continue trusting Hololive without reservations.
In my opinion, the Fauna statement in the streams is really thrown towards the team that handles the contract renewal. She may have demand or the company demand but an agreement cannot be reach.
@@arizeta3540 That's what I'm thinking as well. It didn't look like she was throwing shade at the entire company, just certain elements within the company. So it could have been a contract renewal disagreement and the team behind that may have handled that poorly. It could be anything from increase in percentage of ad revenue and merch pay cut to Holo, to demanding Fauna to work more hours, or being restricted to playing certain games that she didn't like that studios sponsor Holo to promote their games. It could be anything, and while I don't like to speculate as I don't have all the information, it it rather curious that there's been an abnormal number of graduations this year.
@@luminatrixfanfiction The number of graduations this year isn’t abnormal, it’s expected for a company this size in an industry as volatile and stressful as VTubing. It’s the lack of graduations in previous years that was abnormal, and it couldn’t have kept up forever. Outside of Fauna’s specific case, I don’t think there’s any reason for concern.
It's gonna be ok. It was just a big shock, as I didn't expect Faufau to graduate anytime soon. I'll offcourse miss her as Fauna, but I hope she does take that break and (once she's ready) comes back on her PL 🍋🍃. I'll always be her sapling or whatever she's going to call us next. It's unfortunate that some of the recent graduations have shared a recurring theme, and it's natural for people to feel concerned about the reasons behind them. However, at the end of the day, there isn't much that can be done other than respecting the talents' decisions, as the final call to leave seems to rest with them. Whether the company is undergoing positive changes or, as some say, questionable restructuring, it's important to remember that corporations need to evolve and adapt to stay relevant in a rapidly changing industry. That said, I'm not trying to invalidate or diminish the anguish or concerns people may have about these graduations by reducing this whole situation to a simple "it's a common occurrence in a corporation" narrative. It's completely understandable to feel frustrated and saddened especially when your oshi decides to graduate. However, rather than getting lost in speculative doomposting or assuming the worst, let's focus on supporting the talents themselves while also creating more lasting memories till the end.
This was who I wanted to hear from. Kronii, out of anyone in Promise, has voiced things regarding management before. If she says things are good, I believe her. If things were getting bad, she'd give us signals. I feel more at ease now hearing this and what Miko had to say as well.
People need to understand that "difference in directions" is lawyer speak. It roughly translates to "neither party will be legally responsible for the losses or damages caused". There may or may NOT be an actual difference in direction. And disagreements can be about anything. It could be as simple as talents thinking going indie can achieve the same success as in a corpo. In this case there is nothing a corpo can do in this situation. Now you can continue with the complaints.
I think people are just scared that we're gonna find out cover is mistreating employees and stuff. Especially with all the drama over at anycolor, I don't think anyone wants to hear that their favorite creators aren't being treated fairly.
"20 years, man... 20 years?" "I don't think you guys would be around for 20 years." The people we love won’t be here forever. Life keeps moving, and things change. That’s why we should enjoy and appreciate what we have today.
Kronii and Fauna were a fun pairing, their streams together generated some great moments. Why do I get the feeling that none of her genmates actually care about her leaving though? Not any sentiments from them like "I'll miss you, goodbye" or anything it's all been damage control like "Everything will be fine" Just seems odd to me. Compare this graduation with the responses of Sana and there's a distinction that irks me.
im glad kronii spoke out. bae and shiori and raora i didnt really wanna believe because they were kind of awkward and weren't really saying much, it seemed like damage control. kronii just kinda put enough out there to understand whats going on and that they really are ok, i believe them.

Then what? They start keeping it to themselves, building up stress to the point they can't take it anymore?

its a standard lawyer response and probably what the management asked them to release as a statement because they don't want fans to blame the talent.

If she says she likes Hololive, you can bet it isn't an abusive company, if it was, she would leave it very fast.
aaaah thx for the clarification kronii pressure got lifted from my chest Allahu Akbar
@@homiga1 not all of them for the same reason, however. A-chan for example, left due to family related reasons.
This puts me at ease
The impression I have is:
Ame: Leaving to pursue projects she doesn't think she can do with Holo
Chloe: Leaving because she thinks she is too low-energy and/or might have health problems and doesn't think she can keep up with the behind-the-scenes workload.
Fauna: Leaving because of disagreements with her manager and/or management about how she should run her channel.
(I suspect there's a handful of bad managers spoiling the soup in there; I believe that is why Vesper and Magni departed on the holostars side)
Yep
Big corporate changes along with some bad apple managers is a recipe for disaster.

I’d argue it’s because we only get vague statements like “disagreement with management” that conspiracy theories can proliferate
You can thank Nijisanji EN for kickstarting people's skepticism to the fullest.

*coughs* Kronii: "Uh, Dad, you're like 50 years old!"
Me, 54, watching this clip.

@@ejesus95Or Reine. ID bros keep saying she's a filthy rich ojousama irl, I don't think someone like her will stomach any abuse.

Down with Cover”
Like if that was on the line I’d be terrified to make a career choice.
The amount of doom posting I've been seeing is insane
Hey, I’m over 50 right now and I’m still watching anime girls - unashamedly!
That's why they want the Company and Yagoo to end and set them free because of the major changes from BlackRock

I'm pretty sure she's been told to shill merch before...
Best of luck to fauna in whatever she chooses to do next
I'm legitimately following a few German content creators for 24 years now. First in 2000 they were moderators in a German show called Giga Games that was like Let's Plays but before RUclips existed, then they created their own Gaming show on MTV Germany, then they made a RUclips channel/internet TV channel before Twitch was a thing and now they're doing RUclips, Twitch and podcasts. I've seen them grow up and even heard how their kids grew up lol
Watching streams is just what parts of my generation does instead of watching TV like my parents generation did.
"OH dad, oh cringe, you're watching anime girls? You're like 50 years old!"
Shut up, bobby. I resemble that remark
I may not remember yesterday or today, but i did remember to catch my funny woman stream.
It's because it's been years without anyone on EN leaving...so of course the first time this year when it starts to happen, people get worried.
Look at how some people treat the girls who stay now, the selfish fans. They don't respect and listen.
People who defend Nijisanji said the same shit you said.

If you actually looked into the reasons why people are saying such things you wouldn't be so flippantly dismissive about their concerns.
Four actually. Aqua and Ame leaving stoked the flames, but seeing their indie selves thriving temporarily calmed people down.
Then Chloe graduated, partly due to health reasons. "Ok kinda worrying, what the heck is Management doing?"
Then days later Fauna announced her graduation. Not the AmeWay graduation, the "I'm not going back here" graduation. Then her reasoning: disagreements with management. "Wtf does that mean? Did they fight?? THEY BULLIED FAUNA OH MY GOD-"
Is what happened.

However, rather than getting lost in speculative doomposting or assuming the worst, let's focus on supporting the talents themselves while also creating more lasting memories till the end.
my kid and I are going to watch anime together. And we are going to watch the moment Kronii gwakkkk
