Jesus spoke to him and said "this day you will be in paradise with me". Did he come down from the cross and be baptized then get back on the cross?
2 weeks ago, I was born again! I've never felt more whole in my life with Christ in my heart. Nothing compares to the relationship I have with Him, it's the most powerful thing I've ever known. I was suffering from depression and the grace of God saved me and broke my chains from evil and sin. I am free! Remember to look for me when we all come home one day! :)

I'm an atheist, but this song still holds a deep meaning to me.
I see it as a way of letting go of past mistakes problems and traumas and beginning a new life, as a new person, with a new outlook on everything.

Hey! The meaning you gave this song is kinda my meaning. The plus I add is that the new outlook is love why? Because love breaks time barriers so he loved us here first and he'll do for eternity (when time will lost its concept).... so I was born again but not beacuse of me. The new life I get to live is in the eternity with him. About Baptism is just a public step that you do to confim your beliefs (is not a "step to get to heaven") because there is people that never had the opportunity; like people that believed and died in a hospital bed. The matter is in your desición and what you choose (Accept his love and live for him or not) not in what you show to others . Religion always has new ways of telling us how to get to heaven do and don´t, but the main thing they dont realize is that is not about to get there. is not vacacions in heaven or something It is about being back home with our Father. Once you accept His love and merely His love for your life/soul you start walking on this planet with purpose. You seek to represent the greatest truth any one person has to offer; Love. In Revelations Yesuah (Jesus) speaks to 7 churches, two of which were inverted. The first was founded on love but ended up fixated on the works and judged themselves. Even though He tells them He is pleased with their works He found no love there and that was more a sin than the latter. No amount of works can get you into Heaven. The second church was not founded on love but ended up loving others more than the first church. Accepted and loved many. But too many. They became tolerant and lacked discernment and therefore walked with sin. Revelations 3:19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.
For those saying you cant be atheist and still believe in meaningful living, you are wrong. Most people on earth are atheist. Or agnostic. You dont need religion to be human, or good in general. These are my thoughts as a Christian.

Been listening to this song for years, I lost my brother few days ago and I went back to work. As I was working I went out to pick up the trash around the building and I started to tear up as this song came on and one Hawk Flew Over Me and stayed with me until the tears dried, As a Native American we believe animals send us signs from God. Plus my brother loved birds. But I believe this was a sign from God my brother will be born again in ! Amen🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

The flowers represent life, and we are given life when we come into this world however it doesn't take long for us to ruin the flowers. as you can see the man in the video was constantly chasing what he thought would give him new life whether it be a person to fill his life or a substance found in the alleys. the problem is there is no true life in the things of this world it was only when the man was changed from the inside out by the undeserved generosity of God that he was able to obtain the life that he oh so desperately searched for. And how manny people do we pass daily that are ever searching and waiting for Jesus to reach his hand down towards us with this life everlasting... Oh how God changes lives everyday. this song is truly worship to God our father

The way I saw it the flower represented faith. He had it at first, but lost it. He saw a woman with it and she looked beautiful. They couldn't work out because of the state he was in. He was bitter and seeing somebody else with faith drew out the monster in him. God ended up doing a work in him that brought hope back in his life. At least that's how it looked to me
I saw those flowers as the blood of Jesus because the vase made the place overflow with water, a symbolism of being baptized in Christ’s blood. I like your point as well, faith does help you get closer with God in relational terms.

This song helped me tremendously in a time when I felt lost and everything seemed hopeless. I was deep into addiction and was in trouble with the law about to go to jail anyday. I needed help and this song would remind me that with God I can live a new life. I did get put into jail, went to prison, and got clean. I surrendered my life to the Lord and have been sober since Oct 14th 2016. I'm full of Hope, faith, and love because of Christ in my life. And it was this song that helped me realize how much I really needed Him. Thank you Josh Garrels. HalleluYah

The flowers represent the seeds of faith in Christ sown in him as child, and he chose to tip the vase over (neglect the faith) and tried to do life alone, He turns into a monster, but the girl had flowers on her hand (she was a Christian and he ran when he saw that) as he was running he found the vase , something that reminded him of his faith, then he took it home and water started dripping on him (some outward influence) that watered those seeds sown in him as a child to sprout up and then he gets submerged in water, a brand new person comes out, and he finally puts the vase back where it was in the beginning. Such a powerful illustration :)

A literal water baptism is not the way to salvation. Salvation is only through the baptizing of ones heart/soul by the blood of Christ. It is an inward change of ones heart through the Holy Spirit. Salvation is not through an external action/method or man made source/idea. Water baptism is meant to be an outward proclamation of the inward change that has already taken place through accepting the saving grace of the gift of eternal life. One must be "born again" as in our spirit is dead and needs to be re-born into life through the baptizing blood Jesus shed for us. He was the only perfect human (yet still fully God) sacrifice acceptable to take our sins upon Himself because the penalty for sin is eternal death in Hell, forever separated from God. There is external baptism which means to submerge and there is spiritual baptism which is the blood of Christ cleansing our heart of all sin. A washing away of our sins is in principal, like bathing washes the dirt off our skin. However, the bathing [baptizing] of our sins is eternal. You can not lose your salvation, otherwise Christ would have to go back to the cross and be crucified over and over again each time we "lose" our salvation. That is NOT going to happen. Never give up! You are also a child of God and He makes no mistakes…the door is there, knock on it, just ask Him. You are worthy and if you need help, reach out and ask for help…no shame in it. I wish I had much earlier in life. Someone is always there. “He Is” We all need His guidance and like minded relationships. What you put into your body also includes your mind and your thoughts, focus and determination. None of us are able to do it alone. At least I have never known anyone who has…that wasn’t lying about it.

That's how I felt, I had a christian upbringing but slowly through my teenage years I fell deeper and deeper into sin and living life my way but one day I came to my senses and saw the monster that I became and through the blood of christ and the love of the father I am not only whole again but now I know I am loved and I can finally love myself not only me but those around me. This song is so moving it takes me back before I new Jesus Christ as my Lord and saver. I was that monster to my wife, daughter my family. I now have salvation and a happier life with my Wife, and now 2 daughters, and all of this wouldn't have happen with out Jesus in my life.
Notice the drops of water that fell on his head, too! It took a bit for him to notice them, but one of the drops finally got to him for the better. Don't ever doubt the power of the little things. Plant seeds wherever you go, no matter how small. They may grow in someone and bring them to Christ.

I broke my neck 2 years ago and discovered this song while i was bed ridden for 4 months. It will always remind me of a HUGE transition time in my life. I am an agnostic (always will be, don't bother) but this song just hits me in a very important place. Breaking my neck, and being in bed was the first time I felt secure in YEARS... Funny how that works.

Anyone who reads this, our God is beyond amazing!! He saved me from witchcraft, hatred, murder in the heart, unbelief, self-destruction and demonic power over my mind and heart. The Holy Ghost came in and swept me off my feet because Jesus doesn't give up. I fell in love with God. I now pastor a church and am so blessed to get to reach out to others in so many ways. Really when I hear words like “What our Heavenly Father got for us” I straight away think about victims of pedophiles, abusers, murderers. Is that what Heavenly Father has for them? A life of misery? But why?
@@svetlanabarrow6026 Hello Svetlana, I do not understand the complexities of the deep pain of the victims of such horrendous acts. I would not want to simplify such hurt. Personally I look to the Bible and see the face of Jesus. Ephesians 3:14... "and pray for the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would give you according to the riches of His glory, power to be strengthen by His Spirit in the inner man and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith." Jesus offered His life, His love and His peace, those are what I have needed and accepted from Him.
I have to come back to this video from time to time to remind myself that I’m not condemned because I stumbled to a sin. God is more powerful than the sin still living in my flesh. Every "Christian" who is Born Again has a radical change in their life of a supernatural nature. I for one hated who I used to be, came from a broken home, and lead a broken existence. Lord Jesus Christ revealed himself to me. On my terms. He, nor anyone else, ever forced a belief on me. I lived life just like many unbelivers do now, well, at least on a basic level as far as the human experience goes. I realized I was unhappy on a fundamental level. Life was empty.
I never really thought about God much before I followed Jesus. I was completely focused on what I wanted and I was headed nowhere.
Then I met a Demon. For one entire night I was terrorized by a BEING that was wholly inhuman. It spoke to me in a language I couldnt understand, but I did know its intentions... Nothing Good. Jesus protected me in this moment and over the years has answered multiple prayers therafter that are beyond the odds of mere chance. I decided to devote my life to the one who set me free from the bondage of self hatred, sin, and failure. The one who gives me the ability to fight back against the things that go bump in the night.
In the Bible it says there is only one God of all creation. All other "gods" are Demons attempting to lead us astray from the creator and destroy us. I have met a demon and that's exactly what it wanted to do. Destroy me. God had other plans. Believe what you want friend but remember this: Lord Jesus Christ answers prayers. He loves you even when you cant love him. He is for you and all you have to do is answer the door we he knocks. The spiritual realm is real. Father God is real and he reveals himself to those who seek him with a humble heart.

I usually don't hear songs about what it is like to not be a Christian from a Christian's point of view. Non- Christians don't know what it feels like to have God, but Christians know what it is like to not have God. If they can't understand what it is like to have God, why can't we tell them what it was like for us to not have God???? It makes more sense to me to explain what they are feeling instead of only expressing how we feel. Only the Christians understand what the songs mean, really.I It makes more sense to me to describe the pain and how we were lifted out of it than to describe something they can't understand. If we show them just how wrong it was by expressing how painful it was and how healed we are now, won't that help to reveal the truth???
