I stopped listening to Christian music (except in church where we sing traditional hymns) because I hate the style that seemingly every contemporary Christian band has. The lyrics usually feel empty and repetitious, and the genre isn’t my thing. A few weeks ago, I decided to look for folk rock Christian music since that’s one of the musical genres I like the most and after a while of searching, Rivers and Robots popped up. Now I’m finally listening to nice Christian music with beautiful lyrics again and it feels so good. Thank you for making such amazing music :)

My amazing mom is nearing the end of her life. She is just entering hospice after running out of treatment options for her lung cancer. This song is such a beautiful reminder that this is not her home. She will be home when she sees His face. It is my choice to play at her memorial.

Hey man , its been long time you wrote this commnet . What you think about christian artist today ? I stoped listening to artist that sing about God without scripture in their texts . It was too much based on emotions and feeling , but often it was all , just emotions and feeling , without deep understanding of his word . And i found in these songs beauty because they consist of real texts from the biblie .

All we need to do is looking trying to listen to his voice and to know his will , not ours , even if we mean it good , God is above anything .

I love this song sooo much ! The second time round of being one of my favourite songs - this time for a different reason. I’ve suffered a lot of rejection in my life and felt unwanted , don’t belong anywhere , not included etc . for some reason my mind has been briefly drifting towards a particular friend that I lost because of making the right choice to follow God. we were very close and our friendship was like none other which really left a strong impression on me because we both had such a deep understanding for each other and we shared a strong mental connection. therefore, losing something so rare was so unexpected. I dont know who God is going to bring into my life next, but I know its going to be special people. trusting in Him has held me together and it has kept me faithful even though I did not understand His will. now this song in particular makes me feel as if I've always belonged here and I've found my place in His home. and I will wait for Him to do even greater things in my life.

There is nothing bad in current songs, worship does not depend on a song and much less can it be compared with the songs of 2000 years ago, everything that is for God and comes from him is good, no matter what gender, worship is not a song, it is a lifestyle that we must always have, our worship should not depend on a song, and if you only feel the presence of God through a song, check yourself, because the presence should be with you, you should have it regardless of what you hear. Everything is fine because the songs are for God and that is the only thing that matters, you should leave behind your historical thoughts that everything must be as you learned it.

I was in the midst of struggling emotionally...and I believe God led me to this song because it reassured me the problems I fave in this temporary residence called Earth is not worth my attention to the extent of worry, fear and anxiety. "Think eternal life" is what I hear within.

This is not my home….
I wish i could close my eyes and fly to home. Leave everything behind and fly as fast as i can. I always felt like i don't belong in this evil world that is filled with darkness, destruction and suffering. We are here to develop our conciousness and continue on the other side. When i wake up in the morning it's another day fighting against my mind and the world. I need a break.
