There are so many fun new details in this version. A few I noticed and really enjoy are the back of the milk cartons having missing signs for Barnaby, the ghosts all acting out their parts, Barnaby's feathers turning into horns on "tried to fight a dragon", and the family guy death pose at the end. Also realized that "death by Shakespeare in a tragicomedy" is perhaps foreshadowing Fantoccio, which is such a neat little detail to have in. So cool to see this game continue to evolve and get better and better!
I love how he is a lot more expressive, less static. I'm really glad that you guys swapped when the sideways and upside down screens are. Making the sideways one on a more open part is really nice. Keep up the great work!!!!
I think for the challenge of it and to fit the nature of the character... it really should be random which one you get and when. each time you play it you would have to adjust to which ever way it decides to throw the screen. MORE CHAOS!
0:27 the small detail of the floor changing as soon as the acid water gun comes out is cool. most people may not recognize it but i love the little things in games like this
They are re investing a lot in the game design, so much so that those storyboard that goes are going to become 3D animated and I can't wait to see this game being released next year
It would be nice to see the window's shadow casting itself fron the outside to the floor (near 3:11) just before the cutscene. Lightning wise it would not make sense, but the grim siluette of the shadow can be a good link between the final part of the chase and the cutscene itself. Anyway its a great chase sequence, I will be looking forward to play the game when its released!
I love Barnaby's new movement and expressions! They really fit him and give him so much more life, plus it adds another layer of challenge for the player, drawing their attention away from the obstacles. The same goes for the more vibrant, elaborate scenery, which is also gorgeous! I can'twait for this game to come out. Amazing work.

2:51 there are moments like here where the new model looks like it melts into the background and I’m not sure if it’s intentional cause the only thing that makes him even visible are the purple outlines in his neck. Aside from that, this looks amazing!!
Unless the purple outlines on him are deliberate, in which case some of us would argue that it adds to his unnerving appearance. I mean he *is* a death-enthusiast scientist who parties with ghosts, to be fair.
The entire animation is the most delectable visual ice cream you could ever feast on, and the DEAD PETER GRIFFIN POST is just the sweetest cherry on top, bravo

Woah! It really makes the scenario stands out all by itself because all the vitality it was given! Looks Nice, Even My major complaint (which was the empty walls looking SO dead and gray) was fixed! I love it! And it now makes more sensei that You finally added the Main thing (the cow in "trampled by a cow is just embarassing at Best") into the scene and it gives the sentence way more connection to the lyrics! THIS UPDATE IS THE GREATEST OF THEM ALL!!!! (Btw, i love the small detail that you added barnaby climbing out of the window for a better vibe!)
I'll pile on and say how much I LOVE the new textures, animations, end even the settings, with the second half starting off in a kitchen! That being said, I also really like how the ghost chorus got a make-over (make-under?) to explicitly show that they're placeholders, or works in progress! With some games, it's hard to tell what's just a WIP, and what's just a stylistic choice!

He did do that in the original but it looked like he did it now. And when he said “flattened by a cow” it was goofy as heck. And everything looks a bit more remastered, y’all really did a great job on these!

Ok, am I the only one noticing that Billie is wearing overalls and looks ADORABLE 🥰 (or I’m just seeing things/going crazy, that’s a possibility) Great job everyone who worked on this, all of it is amazing
I actually think the overalls are an odd choice. They look bad at a distance and make her harder to see, and are just unnecessary when her character design aligns with classic Western funny animal characters, wherein a lack of clothing is commonplace. She looked just fine without the overalls - I don't understand why they were necessary at all.

It looks absolutely spectacular, although I do have one minor nitpick in particular and that is near the end at 3:08 when the song slows down. In the prior vesion you see the electric obstacles show up and you have to jump with the song's rythim basically and that is neat and doesn't make that end section feel empty, but on the new version, without that bit of jumping it feels like there's something missing, it's a lot of "empty space" so adding in something on the vibe of the prior version to not make that section feel empty would be ideal I think.
Never thought of this before, but is 2:45 a Dimension 20 reference? "Choke on a grape" is so specific, and Fig's "Choke on grapes, b*tch!" is such an iconic line from Fantasy High. It's probably a coincidence but there's already a pop culture reference with the family guy death pose so it's not unreasonable to think there's another.
The remastered one is sooo good! It’s more darker and the lighting is 100x better! I love Barnabys expressions. He also moves a lot more which is so good, meanwhile the first one is just like not moving at all

Oh wow, the animations look SO good. Matched with Black Gryphon's voice, they really bring out Barnaby's flamboyant personality! Loving all the little details added to the level, too, it was good before but now it's just sick. Also, a murderous owl ghost has no business looking so cute in his little chef hat.
I like how they game him more movement and made Barnaby feel more alive. The map change was amazing too! (Also I think they made Barnaby’s outline more visible) I literally wanna play this game so badly now just to play this level myself but I don’t have steam :(
WOAH SUPER COOL!! The extra additions for more words to hazards really makes this song shine :P Such a cool experience, can't wait to play it!! (Also the end timing being that bit more in sync is also super nice)
Now THAT'S a great chase sequence! In the original demo the chase felt a little stiff, mainly because Barnaby was stuck swinging his head left and right. But now he has SO many expressions, and he really feels ALIVE!!! You did a great job, better take a break after such a masterpiece.
I like that Barnaby has more movement in his expressions and movements including the ghosts, but I think the goofier expressions such as him crossing his eyes and spinning his face around would maintain his goofiness a bit more and should’ve been kept. Sorry about the criticism. Still, the animations are nice, and you all have done great work. I hope you have a good day!
Oh man, I'd forgotten about this thing, so glad to see this again! The changes look SO good, I love how much more animated he is without being TOO distracting for the sake of gameplay, and having the ghosts while also framing the character so you can still see enough to act is a wonderful choice. I think the setting/stage changes also work much better too. Excited to see this finished!

You guys did absolutely amazing! Let me rant quick. The original animation was already so cool but I LOVE LOVE LOVE how they added more movement to Barnaby! It looks absolutely amazing and the addictive catchy song in the background is just MWAH. you can also see how the animation is brighter and smoother, and the background/map has so much more details and colors and AMAZINGNESS TO ABSORB!! I also love how much the yellow ghosts add to the story by adding little scenes JUST LOVE IT! they made this AMAZING chase scene. And then somehow made it better!? Outstanding!!!!!!

This is really spectacular, the facial animation of Barbaby is something amazing. The only note, are the lil ghosts, they were way better in the old version. Otherwise... gorgeous work!
@blackoutage453 The older Barnaboos were better. The newer version has too much on the screen at once and literally invades the gameplay and blocks it, especially at 2:03 and 2:13. Ghosts should stay at the bottom and have animations to pop in or the current storyboard ghosts are just there as placeholders for where they'll go in the finished game.
The changes to the Barnaby level look amazing. Nice touch with him crawling out the window. Also glad the Peter Griffon death meme still there XD. Looking forward every time I see you release new footage of the game.
This is great! I do have a concern with the screen moving and the ghosts singing. The presentation, even with the indications from the placeholder ghosts, is phenomenal. But! The gameplay is also important. The concern is if the ghosts block out the screen too much, or if they're too distracting for the player to focus on the gameplay. If you're able to find a good balance between the presentation and the gameplay, this has massive potential (also game designer here! Hi!)!
I love seeing the progress! If I could make one small comment, I think Barnaby singing the guillotine bit was a bit funner in the prior. Only because there was a sudden placement of a guillotine that matches the sudden change in tone he's singing in. Fantastic work!

Not sure if its gonna be in the final version but the ghosts being in the fore ground might be a bit annoying. I wonder if it'd be cool if the ghosts occasionally flew around as obstacles during the parts where they sing. That being said, this chase sequence is still incredibly pretty and the song is great. I love the idea of billie bust up and I enjoy the fact that theres a painting with snatcher and Barnaby (or at least I think there was.)
No one's mentioning how in the new version at 3:23 we can see Barnaby flying through the window, which is what made Billie scared. I think it's a really cool detail!

I noticed that now it is his head inclination change that is synced and everything runs better in my head :D Since there is a lot more movement and animations (absolutely love them) I got a little confused. I also love that now it seems even more that he is having fun scaring you in the chase :D Awesome work!

I absolutely LOVE the lil ghosties getting more animated and involved onscreen. It looks fantastic. Barnaby's limbs coming through the doorway actually startled me... whoops.

I actually think the overalls are an odd choice. They look bad at a distance and make her harder to see, and are just unnecessary when her character design aligns with classic Western funny animal characters, wherein a lack of clothing is commonplace. She looked just fine without the overalls - I don't understand why they were necessary at all.

It looks absolutely spectacular, although I do have one minor nitpick in particular and that is near the end at 3:08 when the song slows down. In the prior vesion you see the electric obstacles show up and you have to jump with the song's rythim basically and that is neat and doesn't make that end section feel empty, but on the new version, without that bit of jumping it feels like there's something missing, it's a lot of "empty space" so adding in something on the vibe of the prior version to not make that section feel empty would be ideal I think.
yea I started remaking the ending with a real sick idea but realised people were getting impatient with the new build, ill add it for the full game

Never thought of this before, but is 2:45 a Dimension 20 reference? "Choke on a grape" is so specific, and Fig's "Choke on grapes, b*tch!" is such an iconic line from Fantasy High. It's probably a coincidence but there's already a pop culture reference with the family guy death pose so it's not unreasonable to think there's another.
The remastered one is sooo good! It’s more darker and the lighting is 100x better! I love Barnabys expressions. He also moves a lot more which is so good, meanwhile the first one is just like not moving at all

The game is still in early development, and the sketched ghosts are mainly placeholders for when their models will be implemented.

Oh wow, the animations look SO good. Matched with Black Gryphon's voice, they really bring out Barnaby's flamboyant personality! Loving all the little details added to the level, too, it was good before but now it's just sick.
Also, a murderous owl ghost has no business looking so cute in his little chef hat.
I thought the original was good, but this new version improves greatly on what I already thought was perfect. Great job!
I like how they game him more movement and made Barnaby feel more alive. The map change was amazing too! (Also I think they made Barnaby’s outline more visible) I literally wanna play this game so badly now just to play this level myself but I don’t have steam :(

The animation TOOK A HUGE STEP UP from the last one! The face sprites did too. I wonder how goofy the ghosts will look when they animated!
Now THAT'S a great chase sequence! In the original demo the chase felt a little stiff, mainly because Barnaby was stuck swinging his head left and right. But now he has SO many expressions, and he really feels ALIVE!!!
You did a great job, better take a break after such a masterpiece.
I like that Barnaby has more movement in his expressions and movements including the ghosts, but I think the goofier expressions such as him crossing his eyes and spinning his face around would maintain his goofiness a bit more and should’ve been kept. Sorry about the criticism. Still, the animations are nice, and you all have done great work. I hope you have a good day!
Oh man, I'd forgotten about this thing, so glad to see this again! The changes look SO good, I love how much more animated he is without being TOO distracting for the sake of gameplay, and having the ghosts while also framing the character so you can still see enough to act is a wonderful choice. I think the setting/stage changes also work much better too. Excited to see this finished!

The way the this project has evolved is OUTSTANDING!!! I listen to this song so much and I'm in love with this entire region in game. You can really tell how much they listen to the community and how much love when into this
Other than the orchestra the animation was the first thing I noticed. I can’t wait for this game( Also I showed this my sibling who’s into animation and they love the updated look👍)
as someone who loves Billie Bust up, i love to see new animations, and new obsticals, the ghosts moving on the screen will defiently be more of an issue than they were previously, i love your game and i hope that you continue to make it!

Let me rant quick.
The original animation was already so cool but I LOVE LOVE LOVE how they added more movement to Barnaby! It looks absolutely amazing and the addictive catchy song in the background is just MWAH. you can also see how the animation is brighter and smoother, and the background/map has so much more details and colors and AMAZINGNESS TO ABSORB!! I also love how much the yellow ghosts add to the story by adding little scenes JUST LOVE IT! they made this AMAZING chase scene. And then somehow made it better!? Outstanding!!!!!!
2:37 I have a suggestion, what if Barnaby held his head straight to the camera (aka he tilts his head 90 degrees) so that it's a bit of a stronger 4th wall break? I love it now too but it feels odd that he looks at the camera but doesn't looks straight

Whaaaaattt this is so good, I love the little ghosting and can't wait until they're fully animated, even in animatic form they're so whimsical!!! I do agree with other people the spin of his face and crossing his eyes added alot of character as well.
This is really spectacular, the facial animation of Barbaby is something amazing.
The only note, are the lil ghosts, they were way better in the old version. Otherwise... gorgeous work!
To be fair the ghost in the new one are just story boards and maybe later on they will look betteer

@blackoutage453 The older Barnaboos were better. The newer version has too much on the screen at once and literally invades the gameplay and blocks it, especially at 2:03 and 2:13. Ghosts should stay at the bottom and have animations to pop in or the current storyboard ghosts are just there as placeholders for where they'll go in the finished game.
The changes to the Barnaby level look amazing.

This is great! I do have a concern with the screen moving and the ghosts singing. The presentation, even with the indications from the placeholder ghosts, is phenomenal. But! The gameplay is also important. The concern is if the ghosts block out the screen too much, or if they're too distracting for the player to focus on the gameplay. If you're able to find a good balance between the presentation and the gameplay, this has massive potential (also game designer here! Hi!)!
I love seeing the progress! If I could make one small comment, I think Barnaby singing the guillotine bit was a bit funner in the prior. Only because there was a sudden placement of a guillotine that matches the sudden change in tone he's singing in. Fantastic work!
Man seeing the improvements side by side the amount of work put into this is phenomenal! I can't wait to get the chance to play this when the game is finished the amount of heart and effort are astonishing!
what about the flashing/changing colors patterns on the carpet at the end 3:15? in time with the slowing rhythm

Not sure if its gonna be in the final version but the ghosts being in the fore ground might be a bit annoying. I wonder if it'd be cool if the ghosts occasionally flew around as obstacles during the parts where they sing. That being said, this chase sequence is still incredibly pretty and the song is great. I love the idea of billie bust up and I enjoy the fact that theres a painting with snatcher and Barnaby (or at least I think there was.)

Unrelated, but I hope Barnaby is so disconnected from the goings on around him that he actually forgets about Billie after a bit and needs to be reminded not to just start his chase again when it comes to the final Boss Fight.

Gotta say, I've come to know this game because of this song and I absolutely love the effort and results! I don't know if this is nitpiking (or just my mind) but I liked more when his headbangs where really in sync with the song, but besides that, the new version is amazing! Can't wait to see the version with the boos messing around like the drawings hinted! :D

Since there is a lot more movement and animations (absolutely love them) I got a little confused. I also love that now it seems even more that he is having fun scaring you in the chase :D

Still remember empty green acid "texture" well, I wouldnt call it that was, it was just green. Besides I even remember being on vacations and finding the song itself before any footage was avalible. I created something complitly diffrent in my head... mosty influenced by all the count the ways songs/animations from fnaf. E.g. part wity electrisity I thought that it would be something with epectric chair
