I have the privilege to test cars back to back on the same day with one radio ! Right now where the car design is Xray X4 is the best car overall(price/ease of use/maintenance/performance)! You can still run the T4 2021 as I do but it's slower than the X4! Another point I have to mention is the proper use of electronics! The ESC you have in the Xray is not up to the level of the car! Another point is that the t3m uses old-style technology like the anti-roll bar mount(not ball bearing),3 mm pins, plastic steering, and the same battery mount in all look-alike Xrays that I also have and use (blaze r2,r3, etc)! The plastic arms do not flex they provide more grip than the graphite ones but for high traction that's not good!

I have the snrc pro with the upgraded front arm system the thing I'm looking at doing is changing the sway bar link to the xray style I think it's easier to adjust

Great insight of the differences! Those A-arms on the Xray are really something else. Both for the functionality of adjusting camber, as well as how amazing the CF looks

The latest carbon suspension cars are great for the serious racer but they are a lot more complicated and definitely not as durable. 2023 is nearer to £700. The Mi8 is one of the best value cars on the market, spares are very reasonable as well

Hope to get our hands on a Mi8 soon

@@PopalongRC it's a fantastic car, when you have a car with an alloy diff case you will never go back, never need to rebuild it. I have a few spare diffs with different oils as a diff is a massive tuning tool in touring cars and I don't like to do oil changes at race meets

Great video, both cars look fantastic. There are a lot of other cars out there at various price points, for example the Xpress XQ2S, an FRP chassis car, mostly plastic parts, but for someone who wants to step up a bit from a basic Tamiya they're pretty good, and spares are available and pretty cheap. Xpress also do a couple of 'Pro' level cars, both belt and shaft driven, although they're up around the 500-odd quid mark. They also do a proper 'frontie' with a front mounted motor for around £165-ish, again FRP and plastic but upgrades are available. One car I would personally not buy is the Mi8, don't get me wrong, they're really good, but they seem to be pretty fragile, at least the people who race them at my local club (Stevenage) seem to have a lot of issues. Each to their own is the phrase, buy what you can afford, upgrade later as and when funds allow.
