yes that's what I have noticed also in my Gamesir G6 Touchroller, some buttons come out as Xbox buttons, but no problem with the gamesir's control mapping. So maybe the BT version of X2 is also as good as the type c since the input lag is not noticeable coz my G6s response when I play CODM is really great, so I'm thinking now to purchase the BT version first. 😊
I've got both. I love the type C version, but I got a new phone case and the USB insert no longer fits into my phone with the case on. That and the button layout is awful for Game Pass streaming and the remap doesn't apply to Streamed games. So I got the Bluetooth version to get around both those issues. Very happy with my decision, it works great for Game Pass.

@@AndroidAddicts I can use mine with the phone case on, so the statement "the USB-C version doesn't allow you to use a case" is not entirely true since it depends on what phone and case you have.
You didn't go over the fact that with the Bluetooth version you can plug a USB cord directly into the charge port of the controller and plug the other end into your phone and use it directly via USB no input lag. Even windows detected the controller as a USB controller. Id love to find a compact 90° stubby USB c cord and try connecting the phone this way with the phone still in the case.

Excellent review, spot on. Been doing some searching and can't find the info I'm looking for, you could tell me though. Is the Type C detected by CODM as it's run through the phone or not detected as you need to assign buttons working similarly as triggers do? I just ordered both the glap controller & gamesir x2 USB c from Amazon. They'll be here today. Do u notice any input lag with the Bluetooth verizon compared to the USB c version? I'm leaning towards the Bluetooth version because of how any phone can fit easily but idk..I just don't want any delay in my gaming. Btw I'll be playing on xcloud gamepass for all my gaming. Which one would u chose out of the 3..glap, Bluetooth or USB c? Thanks
The Glap has always been my favourite controller but I do like both the new Gamesir ones since they updated the d-pad and included the analogue cap things. Even though the Glap is only Bluetooth 4.0 I never noticed any issues with lag. With Game Pass there'll always be an amount of input lag due to the nature of what you're doing so to keep that to a minimum, USB C would be better. The main issue however will be the latency between you and the Microsoft servers...

Hey there great video! By chance can you test out using the blue tooth version with an iPhone playing Apex Mobile??? Please, I just bought the X2 and I have an IPhone 11 Pro and I don’t know how to get it to work on Apex Mobile. It’s the only game I even bought this for.
for type C model, is there any connection issues with mediatek's smartphone? mine is vivo x70 that uses dimensity 1100..now on the fence whether want to buy or not due to this matter..thanks for info
I saw these on gamesir's site, hadn't realized that it was on Amazon yet. BTW, on the Bluetooth version with the ROG Phone, does it block the air vent ?
WARNING Make sure your phone is compatible prior to ordering the USB-C version. A lot of Motorola phones are not compatible. The light will just blink & never connect.
Probably will go with the Bluetooth version after all. It's a little bit cheaper on Amazon and it won't give me any issues with the camera bump when I get a Surface Duo 2.
@@AndroidAddicts On my iPhone 12 Mini, it seems to do alright with Steam Link. Not much in the way of latency issues that I could detect when playing Injustice 2 and Doom. Did have some issues with it disconnecting but it seems to have resolved itself.
Sadly I don't have the Kishi anymore but it'll feel similar to when I put my S8 in it which is a bit flimsy (the phones are nearly the same size you see)
"The convenience of not having to take your case off" lol I don't get why this case thing is such a big deal to people. It literally takes 2 seconds to take a case off. Anyway fantastic overview and comparison. Great job. I'm personally leaning towards the USB-C version for the charging capability. (Thanks for including the list of compatible phones).
It's one of those 'first world problems' I guess. It does only take seconds to take off but if you're doing it constantly throughout the day then it could get annoying. USB charging is a great addition as long as your phone is supported that's for sure. Thanks for watching!
Some very tight form fitting cases can be a pain to take on and off. Not having to remove it would make using this device on a bus much more practical.
Also some more robust cases are screwed together and there's the added risk of dropping your phone between swapping and breaking your phone just because your controller wasn't compatible with the case.
I dont like that part of the back when the phoe is in the Joystick 9:02, the size difference between the phone and the back of the joystick looks odd and annoying Is there another joystick that the back does not look that big compared to the phone ? my phone is REDMI NOTE 10S

That indeed is a good question and having checked the manual it doesn't mention the USB C version in the requirements - just that it requires a USB C port. I'm guessing you may have a Rog Phone 3 or 5? If you watch from 16:44 you can see me connect up my Rog 5 which is a USB C 2.0 (on the bottom port) to the controller with no issues at all (I also did something similar with the Rog 3 a few years back). I want to connect a GameSir X2 Bluetooth Version to a PC.
Is it possible with a cable? Did you try it?
Yes I've just tried it and it does work. Not sure why I didn't think to use a USBC to USB A cable in my previous reply but it works a treat. Just tried it on Xbox Game Pass 👍
@@AndroidAddicts Thank you very much! Do you have a Ko-fi?
3:07 if you have a thinner case the controller will connect perfectly fine. The USB c version connects to my phone with case just fine.
@@AndroidAddicts alright thanks. I just order the Bluetooth version as well. I'm going to test all 3
Bluetooth controller not recommended for cloud gaming
ruclips.net/channel/UCx69Q9AIPhqZ19pOpg4DWfg
for what game do you use? i also got a Poco X3 Pro and i want to use it for a Moba game but its not on the GameSir App list, do you think i can still create a custom keymap layout without beeing rooted ? can you recommend me a controller that lets me create a custom layout ?
Can you show me gameplay Genshin Impact using this controller?
Same setting as shown for COD lol
This controller as best then the saitake 7007x or the ipega pg-9217?
The three seems very similar, but the gamesir is so much expensive then both.
Im thinking of getting the BT one, but im quite scared of the latency issue. Is it noticeable or not?
Ever connected a ps4/xbox controller via bluetooth? The latency will be the same
@@Pawn2e4 not necessarily. Some devices have more quality than others.
I have the same quesiton
Ever played a platformer with ANY input lag? It's terrible, haha.
This is rated at ~10ms latency which is about the same as a ps5 or Xbox series controller
I love the GameSir X2 USB Type-c with my Samsung Galaxy S10E ❤️
That's a lovely combo! 💚
Nicely done, Good Job mate
Thanks a lot!
@@AndroidAddicts You're welcome hero
After this version of the Gamersir, you decide for this or for the razer kishi?
I'd go for the Gamesir now it has Bluetooth - it's just so much more convenient 👍
What is the maximum size of thickness? It's a valuable information in order to use smartphone with case.
Can you show the input delay between the controllers while pushing a button on the gametester app?
Thanks!
Thank you so much! 💚
Hey there great video! By chance can you test out using the blue tooth version with an iPhone playing Apex Mobile??? Please, I just bought the X2 and I have an IPhone 11 Pro and I don’t know how to get it to work on Apex Mobile. It’s the only game I even bought this for.
I'm afraid I don't have an iPhone to try it out on!
for type C model, is there any connection issues with mediatek's smartphone? mine is vivo x70 that uses dimensity 1100..now on the fence whether want to buy or not due to this matter..thanks for info
Gamesir or mantis, which do you recommend?
Gamesir is good but can likely be detected by games whereas Mantis cannot be detected...
I saw these on gamesir's site, hadn't realized that it was on Amazon yet. BTW, on the Bluetooth version with the ROG Phone, does it block the air vent ?
They only very recently became available actually 👍 There is no air vent on the Rog Phone 5 so no issues there 👌
@@AndroidAddicts would love to be able to have the ROG 5 BUT ROG doesn't work on Verizon
Thanks the video.
You're welcome!
Which one is thé best bluetooth version or type c version please ? I am gonna use it for egg ns emulator
You MUST use USB C version for EggNs to work 👍
@@AndroidAddicts thank you bro
WARNING
Make sure your phone is compatible prior to ordering the USB-C version. A lot of Motorola phones are not compatible. The light will just blink & never connect.
18:30 what phone you're using? Is that diablo 3 playable?
It's the Rog Phone 5. Yes it's playable 😎👍 I've had a few crashes but it runs really well
what do you think it's better bluetooth version or usb type c ?
Bluetooth overall just for the convenience of not having to take off my case. If you don't use a case then USB C wouldn't be a hassle.
Probably will go with the Bluetooth version after all. It's a little bit cheaper on Amazon and it won't give me any issues with the camera bump when I get a Surface Duo 2.
Excellent choice - and I'll be jealous of your Duo 2!😎😎
@@AndroidAddicts On my iPhone 12 Mini, it seems to do alright with Steam Link. Not much in the way of latency issues that I could detect when playing Injustice 2 and Doom. Did have some issues with it disconnecting but it seems to have resolved itself.
Please review razer kishi with s21, and how feel gaming, compare with gamesir x2 series. Thanks
I have a POCO x3, is it useful to emulate swich? if not I would go for the bluetooth version, thaks.
Are you using samsung galaxy s21 fe in the video?
No just the standard S21
@@AndroidAddicts Oh so it might fit too
I dont like that part of the back when the phoe is in the Joystick 9:02, the size difference between the phone and the back of the joystick looks odd and annoying
Is there another joystick that the back does not look that big compared to the phone ? my phone is REDMI NOTE 10S
Friend, Thank you very much for the video ... A question ... I saw that the GamePad Gamesir X2 has problems to map the buttons on the Redmi Note 10S, for compatibility with the MediaTek processor ... Please, have any idea about That, I want to buy it to play Genshin Impact ... Thank you
I don't have a mediatek phone to test them out on sorry!
Info sir, where did you get the Street of rage game?
It's on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. I did a video on it here: ruclips.net/video/dwHPrKJqt5o/видео.html
Awesome
Glad you enjoyed it!
This or the Shaks s5b with analog triggers? Intend on playing a lot of emulator ROMs on my fold 3, and I'm thinking not having analog triggers would hamper gameplay a lot.
Good question, I might have to check out the Shaks one and see how they compare 👍
Hi i got a question.
Please will this mapping on the bluetooth work on any game you desire to map?
Does this mean that with the Gamesir you do not need mantis, octopus, panda, etc?
Hi there, yes that's correct, you can just use the Gamesir app instead. No activation required 😎👍
@@AndroidAddicts bro i bet you would not be able to a pes21. Tried it on my Lg G8x did not work tho i used the inbuilt dual screen gamepad mappign feature which isnt super mappable tho. Only worked with panda and wont work with mantis
Yeah it's only a basic button mapping app sadly 😌
@@AndroidAddicts You referring to the lg g8x mapping right?
So your 100% sure it will work on the pes 21?
Oh no, sorry I was talking about the Gamesir mapping. I haven't played PES but understand it needs swiping mechanisms to be able to play properly?
bluetooth with built-in wireless charger is what we want to see. Almost all phones do wireless charging now.
That would be pretty cool!
I like that you tested the analog sticks. Lots of these chinese brands are really sketchy about them
Since this uses Bluetooth...can you still use Bluetooth earbuds while being hooked up to the gamesir??
You certainly can! 👍
@@AndroidAddicts how do i do that?
Just connect to the Gamepad and then find your headset under your Bluetooth devices and click on it to connect
Android supports way more than two Bluetooth devices simultaneously so you'll be alright.
are you able to use the rear camera though? im planning to keep it connected :/ it looks like its gonna block rear camera
If you're using the USB-C version then it's highly likely your rear camera will be blocked. If you use the Bluetooth version you could in theory (depending on where your camera is) position the phone so the rear camera is not covered
What is the best the bluetooth one or the usb?
It depends on your use case really. I prefer the Bluetooth as it's easier to just 'turn on and play'
Can the analog stick be pressed(L3 and R3)?
Yes, both have L3 and R3 👍👍
@@AndroidAddicts Thanks awesome
Yes u can
ruclips.net/channel/UCx69Q9AIPhqZ19pOpg4DWfg
Does Type C consume phone battery to work ?
I am curious is there is any input lag with the bluetooth vs over the type c controller
Not that I've noticed personally but it does depend on the phone you've got. Some phones' Bluetooth work better than others
@@AndroidAddicts true! And what phone do use when using these controllers. I just recently picked up the s22 ultra. Debating about the type c or the Bluetooth.
I personally use the Bluetooth one as it's the most convenient. Only use the USB C if I want to use the Nintendo Switch Emulator 👌 Also use it on my S22 Ultra and the Bluetooth works great
If you buy from Ali express you'd be paying extra for Iva or not?
What's lva?
The bluetooth is compatibility with Egg NS???
No afraid not
Do you know if these controllers support the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the screen open position? I would prefer not to take the cover off my phone so was looking at the bluetooth version.
Yes they certainly do! 👍 I'm using a Fold 3 myself
Is there any sound delay when using Bluetooth earbuds with the Bluetooth version?
Not that I've noticed on my Galaxy phone no
Can you use a type c to Lightning adapter? That way you can use the no lag one on both android and iOS
I haven't tried that so I'm not sure to be honest. It depends if the iPhone can recognise the standard x-input method
@@AndroidAddicts ooooo I see. You think you could try it out?? I want to get one that I can use on both android and iOS but I don’t want any lag from the Bluetooth
which phone you use to play ?
In this video it's both my S21 and then the Rog Phone 5 for playing the Nintendo Switch emulator
Cual es mejor para jugar cod y pubg? El tipo c o el Bluetooth?
I’m assuming the Bluetooth version would fit an S21 Ultra in an Otterbox Defender?
Yes, should be fine 😊👍
The Bluetooth one is cheaper. I'm only playing FPS and MOBA games. Does it support mediatek devices?
I don't have a mediatek device to try it on sadly so I don't know
Usb-c problem: In 5 years, your phone will still be using Usb-c conector? thinking in the long term, the best would be Bluetooth.
can you map it for any game even if its not listen in the game sir app? i want to use it on android for a MOBA game.
Or do i need to be rooted in order to freely map the buttons
Yes you can indeed. No root required
How good is the D Pad on this device?
They're decent - I still use my Bluetooth one quite a bit 👍
@@AndroidAddicts Ok. I bought the ipega 9083, and...i regretted it, but purely because of dat damn D Pad it has that doesn't work well a few months later. I'll try to sell it to buy the gamesirx2 instead since the D Pad seems to be a lot better.
any idea if this supports Usb2.0 typeC? cant find any a answers on this, even from gamesir themselves
I used a USB extension in this example but that wouldn't affect anything. Hope this helps!
@@AndroidAddicts awesome thanks. I have a budget phone, might use it for cloud gaming. Rog5 has usb2 on the bottom plug?
Yes that's correct, same as the Rog 3 👍
excuse me I don't understand English well I would like to know the Bluetooth controller does it support the Nintendo Switch emulator or the USB controller works thank you👊🏻🤪😎
Hi there, no, only the USB-C supports Nintendo Switch Emulator
@@AndroidAddicts thank you
Will gamesir x2 compatible with lenovo legion pro 2? Wil it not hurt the fan of the phone?
Yes it'll be fine. Even if the Legion 2's fan is covered it can still pull in air from the side vent
Did you feel any delay or it's not noticeable?
I don't notice any personally
@@AndroidAddicts on the bluetooth one?
What ios r u running?
So using it without the phone connected and plugging in a USB c hub with a headphone jack could allow you to use wired headphones.
Might need to use a splitter
Yes, unless you have a 3.5mm jack 👍
Which one do you think is good x2 or x2BT
The Bluetooth is more convenient and the one I use the most personally 👍
The type c is compatible with switch emulator. Other than that i dont see anything better over the BT.
