    Rockwall used to be so cute and unique. It is McMansion land now and glitz. I know I would like it if I didn’t remember how it used to be, so don’t mind me.

    Well Forney use to be antique capital and cotton fields. Growth was not properly planned, 80 and 20 are really two main hwy to DFW but most new comers only know about hwy 80, but still the traffic is terrible so ask life long residents about back roads

    The City of Forney need to get their shyte together. Roads need to be widened like since 2000. An accident caused a lane closure on 80 westbound past Clements. Left home at 6:30am to be at work by 8:00. Hell no, got to work at 8:45! It took 1 hour and 30 minutes to get from Travis Ranch to 80, 2.7 miles!
    Again this City need to do better because with all the development growing and using the land close to the roads I don't see how they can widen the roads within the city.

      Oh yea I agree those roads need to be expanded man. It’s way to many people living over there and they are still building more and more

    Forney’s traffic is HORRENDOUS!!! And there’s A LOT of section 8 housing,so you know what comes with Section 8!!

    • @DallasRelocationGuide
      @DallasRelocationGuide  Год назад +1

      Yea I’m hoping the traffic gets better when they finish highway 80

    • @SuperSammieeee
      @SuperSammieeee Год назад +2

      Agree!!! It’s not just the traffic! You have traffic ALL hours of the day…and it just took me 30 minutes to go a mile. And now to top it off…the train divides the whole town so what use to take me a couple minutes now will be 45 minutes due to the train. This is worse than Dallas traffic now. Also I just witnessed bad road rage with people who are angry from the traffic.

    • @DallasRelocationGuide
      @DallasRelocationGuide  Год назад +1

      @@SuperSammieeee Yea that train will definitely cause a major backup. And there really isnt going to be alot to be done with that railroad line.

    Forney was cool till like 2015 then everybody started moving there then it lost the small town vibes. All the high school kids would chill behind the walmart snd kids would be at the movie theatres like it was the 80s.

      I know, same with Rockwall. Former green pastures now cement, highway, huge business complexes, and I am thrilled for all the jobs. We are the newGolden Place - just like it was once California in 50’s thru 90’s.

    Section 8 is ruining the city

      I’d have to disagree

      @ talk to anyone in Forney who knows about all the section 8 people in windmill farms and you will see. It’s the same thing that happened to Mesquite

    • @DallasRelocationGuide
      @DallasRelocationGuide  День назад +1

      @ there’s a couple of neighborhoods where section 8 is causing issues. But to say it’s ruining the entire city of Forney is just disingenuous. Devonshire is just fine, along with grey hawk, overland grove, gateway, fox hollow, polo ridge, the bellagio. I can go on for days because I know every neighborhood because I’ve helped clients move to every neighborhood. Perspective is what is needed because if Forney is ruined in your opinion than it tells me you actually don’t know what a bad area actually looks like. Housing prices will continue to rise and section 8 follows affordability. So in 10 years will prices in Forney be more expensive or less with a brand new HEB, hospital, numerous shops and more and more housing developments. Economics my brother, economics

    • @davidmoreno3370
      @davidmoreno3370 День назад

      @ oh trust me, I know all about the building and expansion of Forney. I believe home prices will rise but it will take 10 years for sure to see them really rise. There is too much inventory for it to be truly competitive. The overloading of apartments + section 8 will overshadow the good. In addition to those stores we are also getting a Burlington, Ross, Below 5 and that is what will make the area seem trashy. Devonshire is nice but it’s a stone’s throw away from windmill farms. If windmill farms and Travis ranch were gone a lot of the ghetto will go away. Sad thing is that it looks like they are there to stay along with section 8
