Stumbled across your channel after looking for inspiration when I decided to tackle improving/rebuilding my loft layout. You have succeeded, job done. Keep up the good work KV, all I need now is time.

    Absolutely wonderful channel.
It's a real puzzle why you don't have 100 times the number of subscribers.
It seems to me that you get a massive amount of enjoyment, fun in fact, out of your layout. That really comes across, and I could list a dozen well subscribed channels that convey a tiny fraction of the pure fun.
    Excellent stuff.
And Lima, I have more than I should. The daft rudimentary things just run really well. Sad that they didn't survive in their own right. I'd buy a genuine Lima over at least one of the more opportunistic current manufacturers.

I have a Lima 09 which I bought new in 1980. The chassis plastic has become brittle with age and I've had to repair it with industrial thermal curing super glue semi-gel. Back in 1980, I replaced all the buffers with scale working sprung items and fitted Jackson screw link couplings. It was also converted to run under the old Hornby Zero One 1st generation DCC system and it has been running as #9 on my layouts for 44 years now.

Brilliant...you have done more than I did and it's great that yours is still running after all this time. Mine is a bit younger at about 30 ish years but runs beautifully, Regards Keith. BTW I tried Zero 1 many years ago but couldn't get on with it so reverted to straight 12volt DC.

The tragic thing is that your old Lima 09 runs much better than my full fat high spec Hornby 08 over points! Nice video and nice work!

It does run well - but my Bachmann one runs even better, Keith

Excellent 😊 Making the old Lima 09 look as good as a modern bachmann or Horny gronk at a fraction of the cost 😊Well done as I’m sure some modellers will do that to there’s 🤣
