- Five people have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of 20-year-old Gabriel Lauzier outside a train station in southwestern Quebec in January.
Police in Longueuil, Que., say the suspects, four men and one woman whose ages range from 17 to 20 years old, were arrested on Wednesday and two of them are expected to appear in court Thursday.
An 18-year-old, whom Global cannot name because he was a minor at the time of the incident, and Muwaz Ullah, 19, face multiple charges, including second-degree murder, robbery and possession of a restricted firearm.
The arrests come after a six-month investigation by police into the death of Lauzier, who died on Jan. 18 from gunshot wounds sustained while outside the St-Lambert train station in St-Lambert, Que., south of Montreal.
Global's Brayden Jagger Haines reports.

First offenders?! And they murder someone, probably not their first time offending only their first time getting caught.
He was allegedly shot? Usually that’s pretty clear, no need for “allegedly” 🙄
Until a person is found guilty, the media or even yourself, me and anyone else saying that such person committed such crime can be sued, if ever the person is found innocent.
@@Ms_Tania bullshit… we’re talking about the victim here, not suspect. “Alleged” applies when talking about the suspect
@@chelg You're right, I'm misread your 1st comment, I read the beginning as 'He allegedly shot'', my bad.
What a beautiful boy. Utter tragedy.
diversity is our strength
I personally know someone who was in this exact situation, it was a drug deal gone wrong and they killed the drug dealer and fled the province. They eventually got caught 12 years later and they pled guilty to manslaughter instead of 2nd degree murder. They only served 6 years and now theyre out enjoying life. This is what most likely will happen to these offenders.
14-25yrs isn't punishment for teenagers! They'll be out in 7yrs! Smh
And then when they’re caught, they’re put in some cushy jail for a couple of years, then released, change their names if they desire and live like nothing happened.
drug deal gone wrong: someone tried to do a rip off and it didn't end well???
Surprised who not first just first time caught
'first offenders' because they just arrived in Canada.
Where are the suspects from?
wtf 🤬
The usual suspects?
