YES!!!! I love this!! All of it!! As a perfectionist in recovery, I can tell you that it has also held me back quite a bit in the past. The fear of ''what if I screw this up by continuing'' or ''not doing it perfectly'' (whatever that is - because really, who gets to decide??) still pops up and it is daunting. But, every single time I choose to move forward and not let it hold me back, the fear diminishes. I LOVE that you said nature is perfectly imperfect!! That is so true!! And let's not forget, that includes us 🥰 We are all perfectly imperfect and beautiful just the same - it's all about perspective and how we choose to look at things ☺️ Thank you for connecting with me and sharing your a-ha moment ☺️ And thank you for your kindness ❤️ It means a lot to me!!
Concentric circles. I don’t know why that word came to me. I have likely never used it before. You could have measured your circle and crossed two lines to find the center. I have been seeing the thumbnail for this piece for quite a while. I’m so glad I finally watched it. It is absolutely stunning and I loved seeing it in its various stages, each one prettier than the last. It is amazing.

@neurographicart I think the words you were reaching for were fluid (float and concentric (circles with same centre). 😊 Until I tried watercolours for art envelopes four years ago, and then discovered channels like yours, I wasn’t a fan of abstract art. I always like geology as a kid so the layered geologic style of art initially hooked me.

Both the box and the card are beautiful.I know he will love them because you made them just for him.My late partner used to really love the cards I used to make him,because they were always personal,on things he liked to do,or watch on tv.They meant a lot to him!more than the gift I think 🥰
I thought congruent would work too, but apparently for this to be true, my circles would need to be the same size. A few other people mentioned concentric and this seems to be more fitting. Language is a beautiful thing. ☺️

This painting is absolutely beautiful! In the future, if you need to find the centre of a circle that is on your painting, do this: 1. Cut a circle the same size as the one on your painting from regular copier paper. 2. Fold the paper circle in half, open and fold it in half again. Where the folds cross is the centre. Poke a tiny hole there. 3. Flatten the circle and lay it over the one on your painting. Make a pencil mark through the hole. Voila! Très facile!

Ah yes! Thank you so much for clarifying this for me! Sometimes the words just don’t come as easily as they used to 😂 I do seal my paintings using a spray fixative that is UV protectant. It is especially important for something like this because the box will be manipulated.
