    If you liked Victoria go to Quebec City, Quebec. The oldest city in both Canada and the US. It will blow you away.

    Pure Elegance ! And Canada is another country .... We agree with the comment on European feel: architecture, design, furnishings, presentation. A wonderful place to visit. We took our family to Quebec 7 consecutive years.

      Haha, growing up in the Pacific Northwest, we don't really think of Canada as another country. In fact, growing up we didn't even need passports or special ID to get into Canada, just had to show our state ID.
      Would love to see Quebec someday.

      WΔY ΔWΔY - The Way Away, travel and lifestyle it's about three hours (maybe less) from our house in Ohio to Niagara Falls. Close enough to just go there on a whim. And we fondly remember the no passport crossings. Quebec is a more serious jaunt but so worthwhile !

    OMG, I've been following you guys for a year. I just recently took a break from RUclips, checked out your channel today, and found you were just in Victoria(my home town). You did a fantastic job showing off this beautiful city. The videos were so fun to watch. I knew exactly what day you did the food tour because it is rare to get a snow day. Thanks again for doing such a great job. I'm now eager to be a tourist in my own town😊

    Queen Victoria is the most important monarch to Canada's history. It was under her that Confederation occurred. This is why Canada has Victoria Day (commonly referred to as May 2-4 (another name for a 24 case of beers) in May, which rings in the summer cottage season.

    Happy Anniversary! If you get to Richmond, VA spend a couple of nights at the Jefferson Hotel. Great grand staircase, classical music on the concert grand piano, delicious restaurants, and gracious public sitting areas. And, I didn't see the link to the Airstream video. I hope you're enjoying your travels to the next venue! Cheers to many more years of happy married life.

    Unfortunately It’s called an ‘Afternoon Tea’, not a high tea. High tea is technically left overs that would have originally come from the ‘Upstairs’ afternoon tea of the family of a country Manor House and consumed by the house staff ‘Downstairs’. So what you actually had was an Afternoon Tea. Trust me, I’m British! 😄

    • @WAYAWAYWithAsh

      You are right! Haha. I didn't even know! I think High tea just sounds fancier eh? :p

    • @bobbbxxx
      @bobbbxxx 5 лет назад

      "High tea", or "Tea" as it is always called, is basically just the evening meal in most working/lower middle class households, especially in the north. It's a more substantial meal, including something heavier like meat. The "High" part comes from the fact you eat on the higher dining table as opposed to the low tables used for afternoon tea. It does *not* mean a more *posh* tea; that is called "Afternoon Tea".

    I loved this video & those water taxis were so cute! On a totally random note, for a quick second I thought that the pianist at high tea was playing Despacito lol. ALSO when will you be in Asia? We will be back in Southeast Asia (Thailand & Bali) May & June :)

    The British monarchy ruled over all of Canadialand, not just that area. On the Canadian coat of arms there is a lion which represents England and a unicorn which represents Scotland. Canada has about double the % of people with Scottish ancestry as the States. Also, a lot of the people that created Canada's institutions (and many of the Prime Ministers) were of Scottish ancestry.

    Yea! You guys did high tea (or whatever it's called) at the Empress!! It looks spruced up since I was there in the 1990's, lol. I think I'd rather be there than here in a very poor and small town in the Carpathians, Ukraine. Happy belated anniversary!
