Relaxation seats are great for young kids. We are a family of 4 and the GTline has been amazing for us over the past month. We have already taken 2 road trips.
Another nice thing about this roof setup is the front is a sunroof that opens unlike in other EVs where it is fixed in place. I’d love to see the revival of the Lincoln MKZs massive panoramic opening sunroof
Snow tire on the light will be fine in the winter in Colorado or elsewhere. I lived in snowy Michigan with a BMW 328iS and with snow tires my car handled much better than my wife's Saab 9000 with all season tires.
You left out a couple things. The Land & GT-Line have a camera that allows you to see behind the vehicle, if the passenger compartment is completely full (like when moving a kid to college or a family vacation road trip). Also, all EV9s have a power driver's seat, but only Land & GT-Line have a memory for the driver and a power tilt/telescoping steering wheel. Now 2 questions. Stupid but, how far does the rear windows go down? And can someone open the front sunroof so we can get an idea how much air we can get?
I think the Land is the way to go, 360 view, memory seats, ventilated 2nd row. The Gt Line seems like a rip, $4000 more for a heads up display and a massage seat only for the driver.
The Wind should've had the option to add a tech package or so for the 360. Memory seats should've been standard too on the Wind. The Land is for peeps that don't need the sporty look. The GT-line is the best for me but too bad it doesn't have 7 seats in the US so I'm gonna skip it until they do. At least give us an option. I bet more people would rather choose bench seating instead. Kia is losing money by not listening to their customers.
I own an EV9 Wind with the extended battery and I love it. I would definitely love it more if Kia had the software option to pay for the blindside camera when changing lanes. If that was the case, then my vehicle would be perfect.
Wind is missing blindspot 360 view.. wish they have an optional package just like the EV6. That is one of the most important feature for safety and for this size when trying to park... That is why I am leaning towards Land.
When you were talking about the Land trim, you were standing in front of a GT-line. The Land trim doesn't have the rectangular gloss black faux grill on the front clip. Why wouldn't you mention this?
The Land trim and up come with V2H bidirectional charging. I would get the Land just because of this to back up my home. I wish the Land trim would come with a full bench middle row WITH heated and ventilated seats.
The biggest goof Kia made was not offering the bench in higher trims. It's bad because the third row is only 2 passengers, unlike it's gas siblings. Lugging around this huge, heavy truck and only having one extra seat than a sedan doesn't make sense.
I have heard that on all of the trims you can manually start battery preconditioning. However you said the lower trims do not have heat pumps. How would that affect battery preconditioning?
Jordan: They do have camp mode (sort of), they call it Utility Mode. Look under EV setup. Utility mode prohibits power being drawn from the 12V battery.
Land trim if they offer bench 2nd row seating and NACS conversion or the Wind trim with the NACS conversion. Will wait for now because of their 12v battery issues.
If I’m in a medium snow area (i.e., Minnesota”), I would want 4WD. Seems like a nice EV but I’m not sold on EV’s. Too expensive and battery life is still questionable, especially if one does a lot of high kW charging. I would like to see towing at least 7000 pounds, but that would add to the price. Unfortunately, the total mileage reduction while towing, is not good on all EV’s. I think this would be a great family car for around town, if one has at home charging. Good review, but no mention of home charging capability.
You don't get "4wd" with EVs. You get "awd". There is a difference. I suggest googling the difference to help you make any future vehicle purchase decision.

Love the blind spot monitor on my low trim SE Ioniq 6 AWL. I also love the "You are charging" voice (which Kyle hates).
For the R1T, yes, we will buy an aftermarket sunroof cover because it gets very hot in North Carolina in the summer.
THe wind trim need to get the driver memory seat and 360 cameras! It is a 65k car that doesn't have these features.
Wind has driver memory seat, but I agree - 360° camera needs to be on the mid trim for a car this big.
$65k? That's insane! They're in the $49k range for the Wind trim
Does it depend on locale? USA brochure said it starts on Land, right?
@@teddysdadcorywind does not have driver memory seats.

I would love to see a comparison of the ev9 and the r1s.
Ok!

Seriously. Why even consider the version with no 360, no heated seats, and no heated steering wheel. I guess maybe southern AZ and southern TX?

One of the better Ev9 videos ive seen thank you!

Easy cheap fix, get blindspot angle mirrors
I feel the long range would be great for my family. But man at the Electrify Expo the GT was fun 😁 I am also in florida not needing AWD lol
Thank You for supporting Electric Vehicles and for All that you are doing for our Planet Earth... Peace.. Shalom.. Salam.. Namaste 🙏🏻 😊 🌈 ✌ ☮ ❤

Im in the same boat and totally agree. I wish the land also had an option for the hud.
It has blind spot monitor and rear collision avoidance. Helps mitigate the need of 360 but still silly that they didn't include it for 65k!
We got the Wind AWD but really miss the memory seats.
Oh wow it doesn't even at $65K. That's crazy. It seems like Kia is trying to force everyone to the Land or GT-line.
@volcalstone the Wind trim is around $49k. MSRP I think is $65k, hopefully no one has ever purchased a vehicle for the MSRP
I love the exterior pixel lights [and I love the Morse code(H) on the steering wheel of Hyundai]. Yes, I know this is a Kia not a Hyundai.
When you were talking about the Land trim, you were standing in front of a GT-line. The Land trim doesn't have the rectangular gloss black faux grill on the front clip. Why wouldn't you mention this?
We mention exactly why. The detailer doesn't have a Land in inventory so we used the GT-Line and mentioned what it was missing at 10:21.
The Land trim and up come with V2H bidirectional charging. I would get the Land just because of this to back up my home. I wish the Land trim would come with a full bench middle row WITH heated and ventilated seats.
You forgot Earth and Fire trim
The EV9s really love the month of September

True! I think Jordan was referring to the self leveling air suspension though
@@iMaxPatten Okay, thanks
Land trim if they offer bench 2nd row seating and NACS conversion or the Wind trim with the NACS conversion. Will wait for now because of their 12v battery issues.
The Light and Wind are the only two trims with 7 seats (bench 2nd row), not sure why you'd get a 3 row vehicle without it being at least 7 seats
Why don’t we get footage around the car while you’re talking?

In italy we have only 2 versions, don't know why😢
Spoiler: RWD/AWD not as HUGE difference in range... Bot VERY good! Battery make the difference.
Please fix your terrible audio. It's probably your raw files vs your software are conflicting. I can't watch.
Works for me?
