I think I saw the end of this back in the day. The 'I'm rather fond of little green men' line was stuck in my head ever since. Thanks for making the connection for me!
I have a bad discovery channel recording of this, pretty much unwatchable, with the interviews being slightly different. Thanks so much for your much better version of this.
Oh yeah a Dalek is soooooooo realistic...also what the guy described was the robot shell...not their evolved, biological appearance. Also the old guy is kinda amusing. He goes on and on how we can't have earth-like aliens anymore (and comes off as pretty arrogant imho)...and then they imagines fish-like creatures on Europa...
A fish-like body plan is something that's evolved several times, though. Bony fish and cartilaginous fish (like sharks) are closely related but still developed their bodies independently. Not to mention that cetaceans like whales and dolphins are very fish-like but evolved from terrestrial, somewhat dog-like animals. It's a body plan that works in water and has evolved several times- it's highly probable that something fish-like could've evolved on Europa
It would depend on how dense the atmosphere is on a low gravity and high gravity world. You could jump higher on a low gravity world. But there wouldn't be a lot of flying or life at all if the atmosphere was very thin

Kind of the spiritual predecessor of Extraterrestrial and Alien Planet.
@Hayden the Toa I come from the future. There is a very similar series on Netflix
@@PRGME7I come from the future future, it's not very good :(
I remember watching this in the 4th grade. I’ve been looking for it for more than ten years. Thanks for posting this!
Greenworld totally reminds me of the future rainforest from future is wild, with the squibbons and megasquids. perhaps it was an inspiration
I saw that too, yep, now that you mention it, it does a bit.
press F to pay respects to splatterbug, evolutionary dead end
@Cheri Mattice Gravitita ?

Documentary exploring what alien life may be like, this was originally broadcast in 1997 to mark the Pathfinder mission.
A modern remake of this show would be really nice like Blue Moon and Aurelia in the dokumentary Extraterestrials
ive never seen this & yet it feels so nostalgic
Thank you so much for this.
You're very welcome! I hope you enjoy it (=
Opabinia is probably the weirdest creature I've ever seen.
I also love the 2 logo at the start.
The glitzy presentation takes it down a big notch and makes it silly
omg it's Dr. Chris McKay he looks so young!

What if Mars or Venus were to have stayed habitable?
Just something to think about.
This was broadcast around the same time as what I think was called the Aliens are Coming hosted by Jonathan Ross, but I can't find that anywhere
38:13 Greenworld: Green and World, why is Continents is Orange ?!
@Cheri Mattice Because Plants is green, and when look at the Earth, you see this color: Blue ocean, yellow desert, white cloud and green forest
Ayy lmao
So it's easier to fly on a lower gravity world, and it's also easier to fly on a higher gravity world? Hmmmm

Incredible :)
