The fact that a weapon repair bug got reversed so bad that now you lose EVERYTHING you bought for your ship, yet I am STILL FALLING THROUGH ELEVATORS is absolutely ridiculous.
For those who wearing pink glasses - main CIG priority is to take the most money from players. If there is a bug which threatens their pledge store sells it will be fixed in matters of days or even hours. The bugs that are blocking players to have fun or even to play at all is not CIG priority and never was and never will be. There are bugs that are here for years and most of them were fixed already but then they reappear again.
Weapon duping should have been a low priority item. You can't even sell the guns and components to a vendor so where is the big exploit? Time farming? That isn't economy breaking, it isn't like the are duping 32 SCU containers of eggs they can make money from. Seriously makes me just want to fly with default crap, which guess what also breaks the economy...
And i will claim my ship everytime instead of repair. Thrust me bro i know how tu fuck up the economy. My reclaimer will print money out of every subscriber ship i get multiple times. Salvage and claim will be my money printer while i fligh in a white jumpsuit.
@@Warsheep2k6 the problem was duping the special items and components from contested zones. Once you have them you make all the best stuff for your friends then keep making them to sell to friends. Personally I think items in backpacks should be lootable and nothing else out side of contested zones. And special items are account bound (only for PU and can be taken away with a wipe). You can lose these items during contested zone deaths but not out side as long as they are not in your armor or in backpacks. Everything else should be insure able and purchased for time sake.
@@amigo3284 All I care about is being able to reclaim the P8AR that I paid real world money for when I lose it to a bug 10 minutes after putting it on my back. THAT needs to come back in the game.
All these bugs that we have are the same ones they say they repair, every single time they drop a patch old bugs keep coming back. For example We’ve been falling through planets and ships for 12 years.
Yes, It's like they don't use the previous version (in this example 3.24) as a base game to build the patch. Instead they use 3.0 lol Something is totally off
They have mentioned previously, that they consider the economy to be mostly complete ( in not so many words). That being the gamification of the buying of ships.
@@smok4101 Yeah its a nice shell of an economy tbh. It doesn't really matter what you do in the game, the economy will not be affected for anyone else lol, except your own stash of things and stuff.
I agree 100%, "Duping" should be seen together with the lack of solution for people to be able to use subscription items people bought. That problem should be low priority. I tried to play every evening this week. I get stopped all the time of one or another game breaking bugg.
Saltemike is wrong making this loud. This is so true. I have even lost my Starlancer MAX fully loaded of cargo because the game destroyed it and was not able to "auto-unload" the cargo. I lost like 1 million on that trade. It is true they need to focus in other s*t not working properly.
Bugs are understandable. Fixing any little thing to make the game more forgivable / playable while it’s still in development is not, imho. It’s nowhere near a game yet. Stop making it harder for people to play. If you call it an alpha, treat it like an alpha. We are playing an (alpha game) with terrible bugs and setbacks, but with (real game) consequences. It’s a miracle anyone plays at all! 😅
@@dugggins why are you going from one extreme to the other? No one is asking for “everything the could ever want”. For FPS weapons, it makes me more inclined to play the game knowing I can use the gear I want to use for bunker/base missions… to the contrary, if I have to use the same boring weapon from the station because I lose all my cool gear to bugs and glitches, that makes me NOT want to play.
@@EmberHarvestRaven I agree with fewer time sinks and more fun. We have to agree, though, that what CIG did with the repair claims was wrong. Being able to pop off 20 demecos in a couple minutes. I don't care if they were paid for or not. That's adding items into the economy that shouldn't be there. I want weapon racks to work and I want to have them restock when I claim my ship. But they need a system in place where those weapons only exist once. It's also not an extreme. There's no middle ground to the duping. Once you can dupe, you can have anything you want in the game with little effort. That's going to chase people away more than the lack of apparent fun.
Fun Police in full effect ! "I just wanna have fun before I die" . . looks like I'm gonna have to play something else for a while as I do not want to grind for ship parts to just have them taken away by having to respawn my ship that's already supposed to be on the pad in my hangar. I too have all the weapons removed from my inventory that i removed from my Reclaimer !! .. poof ! disappeared . : ((
Why so much hate? You care so much about a game you’d call someone a POS for his opinions. Shows what kind of person you are. So who’s really the POS? Do better.
@@Talaxiin People are calling salty a PoS because he called everyone using the bug to recover guns and armor a PoS, and it's pretty easy to find video of him saying that. Don't defend him. CiG needs to stop listening to his opinions, he's just flatly wrong about what should be the priority at the current point of playable alpha.
@@kentyannayon3741 If he did man that's low of him for sure and id say the same to him. But i have not seen him say that granted, i don't watch him all the time. But still man we can do better as a community.
100% agree, I couldn't believe when I saw these fixes over all the real issues causing players hell and havoc in game. Though im almost not surprised after seeing how one or two other youtubers made such a fuss over it like it was going to destroy the game ethos overnight.. Perplexing. Fix the hangers, missions, markers, shards first.
I agree with you on most everything in this video with the exception of CIG giving 4.0 for us to enjoy. In truth. They released 4.0 to sell Guardians first and Secondly to be able to say it was delivered in 2024.
I kinda wish I paid to duplicated some of my favorite amor. Otherwise I don't wear it becuase you loose it so often to bugs and death. But you don't get an advantage! It's just a fancy skin all the armor does the same damage reduction depending on class.
It wasn't even REAL duping, it was a bug exploit, sure, but it acted like a feature that the game lacks SOOOO MUCH. It even made me realize that the gear insurance shouldn't be exclusively about pledge gear (paid with real money) but even with ingame gear aswell ! There should be 2 different options : Claim pledge gear back (of course this should be in the game, at the moment pledge gear is only useful as bank decoration for fear of losing it) and "loadout" claim. This "loadout" claim I'm talking about is what happened with the exploit but legit : you would save JUST ONE prefered armor composition and if you loose it you can claim it back (with the two weapons in the back, even the backpack, everything on the armor like ammos grenades and medpens EXCEPT what's INSIDE gear inventories, EXACTLY just like the exploit). It would make rare armor farming less repetitive because as soon as you get ONE specific piece of armor, you don't have to farm it a DOZEN times to have a stock of future substitutes. On a completely other subject : Everything too grindy as a gameplay loop is stupid, that's what kills MMOs. IMO reputations should let you do ALL TYPES of activities, so you can keep grinding the same reputation BUT make your gameplay more diverse with mining, salvage, dogfight, ground fight, trading, hauling, etc like everything possible. One reputation per activiy type isn't the way to go, it makes you do the same thing over and over again until you find it boring. At the moment, you choose the thing that you like the most between all those type of activities (for me it's ground fight so I peek let's say bunkers) but you have to do it soooooooooooo many times you end up not liking any activity at all, because if you try to diverse your playstyle it gets less lucrative instantly. If let's say Headhunters reputation could be grinded with ALL type of activities, you could do 10 bunkers, then feel like trying mining WHILE STILL GRINDING HEADHUNTER'S REPUTATION And from that perspective, reputations should have rewards that only they offer, that would make choosing between Headhunters and Citizens for Prosperity a more impactful decision for instance. Even better : You get better and better rewards each ranks. I'm talking cool looking armors, weapons skins, etc... It's not that hard, WoW do exactly that since 2004 FFS !!!
The weapon insurance is the best quality of life improvement they've added in like a year,....and it was a bug, and it was "fixed" in record time....just cig things, throwing this win into trash
same here with my golden concierge arclight pistol that you have to spend $1000 to be awarded it.... literaly no way in game to replace this thing. If you give players no options, then you give them no choice.
I don't care what Bault says, the weapon duping, which cost *_MORE_* than just buying the comparable items from the station shops, wasn't an "exploit", it was a workaround for the "Unique Item Recovery" that was due to release to live at IAE 2951 with patch 3.15. So many things were far more important.
What bothers me is that its not like most of us have only pledged $40-50 to get a starter ship. A lot of us are in hundreds even thousands of dollars. Our playtime should be made a priority. Yet so many bugs have been there forever and still exist and still break the game. Months and months go by with the same issues on repeat. But in the meantime here is a plant and chair for your subscription and go buy another ship. Our pledge store never breaks. Priorities need to be set on fixing base game issue that impact our day to day play.
New and old bugs alike! Some bugs come, get fixed, then somehow reappear later down the road… my favorite feature is when a bug pops up, they say “FIXED” and it is NOT FIXED… then they move on and it stays broken. Not to mention the paints… my vulture paint has been broken for years. They “FIX” it but somehow another part of the paint breaks.
@@EmberHarvestRaven yes, SC bugs are like herpes, they pop up over & over again. Anybody playing for a few years already, will confirm that some game breaking bugs are either never really gone or come back every few patches.
@@DerDrecksack87 I’ve been playing since 2018. I’m not a developer but it sure would be nice if they could take time and build a solid base for all the fundamentals before continuing.
If you sank 100s/1000s of dollars into this, you've got mental problems. I can buy 1M aUECs for less than $1 USD and in another week, it will be less than $0.50 USD for 1M aUECs.
@@AlleniumProductions like it or not, ppl who put money into the game have made it possible, i would not sink thousands into it but i would not call those who do crazy, the game would have not survived on 50$ starter freeloader buying currency on ebay. I got gifted like 50mil in 3.16 and the dude payed like 20 bucks for it, we had 3 full wipes & several partial wipes since then, even if you buy for 10-20 bucks every 2-3 years or so aUEC, it does add up and you have nothing left from it.
It's really ridiculous that some people (or even big streamers like SaltEMike) in the community complain about things like armor/weapon insurance which are great for QOL and considering bans for this in an alpha is insane. This “feature” has no impact on other players as there is no economy in this game anyway. The worst thing is that CIG agrees with these people. We have so many major problems in this game but the main thing is to remove good features instead of making the game playable. Apparently whining to CIG is enough to bring about change. Thank you for using your reach to address this issue.
In fairness I watched the SaltEMike video, he's not against weapon insurance. He's against insuring/duping things that force certain gameplay loops like keys and such. He's actually for the convenience of restocking your ship based on what is purchasable. I'm actually surprised by how many people think he's entirely against QoL.
@@tatsumakijim I watched it too and only said, as you can see at the top, that he is against the armor/weapon insurance system, I should have made myself clearer that ive meant the current one. And he said that hes against the current implementation.
I was banned from spectrum for 72 hours referencing that i had been previously banned for 2 hours for saying "you cant tell the emperor hes not wearing clothes" in reference to OTHER people being banned for making legitimate complaints about the game in the forums. Absolutely unacceptable
The weapon duping was just way easier to fix than the degrading shards.... What really gets me is tye 3 levels on insurance. Its just stupid. It should be simple, you either have insurance or you dont. You pay a precentage to fully restore your ship. Period. They really are trying to monetize everything, because you know there will be insurance for sale at some point....
Fully agree. Especially considering they will never be able to fully remove ALL the bugs which could result in losing our ships. Their confidence outweighs their capability.
Reclaiming the ship doesn't mean you get stock weapons and components... only repairing the ship after removing them does that. If you reclaim your ship, you will still get the weapons and components you have saved back.
There is something really bad going on, I was stuck on checkmate with none of my ships being able to get called in hanger, just got the red screen of death on ASOP terminal. Had to reset my regen location and go back to NB. Was able to claim and call ships there, but checkmate seems to be totally bricked for me. Also couldn't call a hanger at checkmate, meaning all my stuff there is very hard to access, would have to get a ride in and out from someone else.
There is a workaround to the ship falling through the hanger when that happens don't claim the ship just go call another ship it should say claim on your ship that just fell through most of the time it will actually store it and you won't have another ship called in then you can recall it in but also make sure you call it in from the panel outside your hanger
if you paid for an item on the store with IRL $, you should be able to claim insurance upon a loss of item just like you can with any ship / game package ship from the store. Locked or firewalled items like modded gear only found in missions or contested zones, should not be allowed to be duped. Items that you can pay for in any market or local store, should be claimable from previous state as a means of service and QOL. I mean, load your pisces full of ammo, armor, water and food purchased from stores at that station, you can deplete those items on a mission after preserving the state of the ship thru a policy, and them replenish those items when returning to that station, you pay for it of course.
Thanks for this video, as a Space Marshal lvl supporter since 3.15 I can not believe they are focused on this rather than performance at this moment. 97% of the time I claim because of hangar bugs and game crashes. Why do they punish us so much? I hope they hear this
So a tip for anyone. Do not sleep at a station or city. Find a random place in space and bed log. I was stuck at a city for a solid week because the server kept bugging out. Anyways, the thing you talked about in the video was a fix for duping. But I agree about your custom load out should be insured even if you have to pay the difference
The ONLY reasonable argument I have heard against (CIG's sudden ability to resolve issues with) this "dupe"/insurance thing is that if they didn't "fix" it fast, they may be inclined to do a wipe to reset the (non-existent) economy. That would blow away any progress people may have made in 4.0 and everyone would (justifiably) flip out. No back up weapons/armor...or no progression?
I totally agree, I have been thinking the same thing for years. We just need a stable game, cargo missions not persisting after a crash leaves you with a cargo hold full of useless boxes that you now have to get rid off. I spent an hour loading up a connie with 8 cargo hauls from Seraphim to Orison for just over 400k only to have the game crash and leave me with F all and a cargo hold full of crap.
These are my current feelings exactly. I was shard locked out for my entire holiday vacation. Finally get in. Excited to have a way to use my CitCon P8 I paid real money for… then they absolutely nuke ship repairing to stop it. All while the years old bugs persists
Let me say a fun fact... They could just insert a x4 multiplication on repair costs. So... every weapon restocked by repair would have a "convenience" tax on it.... And looting a railgun would still mean like hundreds of thousands of uec profit, since you would benefit like hundreds of thousands of having the railgun brought onboard from your inventory, instead of letting the automatic restock handleing it. So it wouldn't devalue looting, yet we could have had fun without the tedious restocking everytime. And it would only take a "x4" multiplication at the repair cost calculation
"Ah yes, the bugs! They're not bugs, they're emergent gameplay features. What’s more immersive than experiencing the challenges of living in a truly unpredictable universe? You wanted realism, and we're delivering it... one crash at a time! Just think of it as your ship having a mid-life crisis in the 'Verse." Maybe someday, the bugs will get their own credit in the game’s credits roll! 😄
CIG has made it so that there is no benefit at all to being a Concierge member with subscription rewards. Because if you dare to ware or use your subscription equipment on your character you absolutely know you will lose it the moment you die. Which, lets face it, will DEFINITELY happen.
At least you could get close to Seraphim. I had an infuriating bug where, with a CS0 crime stat, if i went anywhere near a station it would attack me, kill me, and id have to respawn. I nearly raged after it did it the second time.
I usually dislike negative videos, but you are 100% correct here. I have lost more ships to storage bugs alone than all authentic game loops combined. There are days I spend hours accomplishing absolutely nothing and even operating on negative because of bugs, jumping from server to server to find one where elevators work, being killed by ATLS, loosing ships and cargo to storage bugs, phantom hangar doors trapping the ship, etc. I’ve donated a considerable amount of money for them and I have given them a lot of my time essentially as a free QA, but my goodwill is starting to run thin. If they think the game is anywhere near the state they should be concerned about “exploits”, they are sorely wrong.
Played yesterday with a friend for about 7/8 hours of mining with ROCs had multiple full loads worth stored in my ships hard storage. Server crashed and when loading back in Server error caused me to be forced to reclaim ship instead of retrieve, lost 8 hours worth of work in a second due to a black screen. But good thing CiGs priority is the people duping in a test alpha that won’t even carry over when they wipe again.
People who worry more about how other people play star citizen are insane. Dupe and cash exploits only affect the player doing it. There’s no impact on other players enjoying the game without exploiting. Cig just doesn’t like that it may hurt web store sales. Meanwhile they can’t see no one wants to play the game cuz they keep wiping…
No they don’t, How are you going to have a “rare” railgun, tweaker or ship component if everyone has a bottomless pit of them? When you fight against a player ship now it can be any loot that they carry instead of every player having the best components as standard with duping It’s almost like it’s becoming a real game lol Not to mention that it effects the whole player to player economy/weapon component trading!!
@0Metatron so you're complaining about pay to win ? Pay to restore weapons ? Why are they selling Meta ships for more money ? Why is some ships pay to win ? You wanted a even playing field right ?
@@0Metatron your point is moot during alpha. Who cares what another player has? If I’m doing pvp im not going out alone with Polaris out there… If I’m playing solo, I’m running away if I hear contact. It’s not even about it being an alpha. You can get those scopes and attachments from everywhere lmao. If i play more than u gross what, I’ll have more of them. They are all over SPK. Well look, they TOLD us that QoL updates were coming. It’s in the MOTD in testing chat. It was silly of us to assume they meant QoL improvements. That’s on us I think… What game did we think this is? We should have known that any remotely convenient features would be removed as quickly as possible. It should have been obvious that something so undeniably useful for players was a bug. Clearly we are the ones at fault. /s
perfect message.! CIG does need to get their priorities straight.! excellent delivery of the right message.! thing they do that i despise is marketing a ship a certain way knowing they're going to nerf it (400i)
I totally agree with you. It’s pretty ridiculous CIG fixes the “duping bug” where you pay real money for an item and then pay aUEC to get another one. And then ruins all ship loadouts. While the game remains unplayable. It’s a laughable joke. CIG needs a wake up call. Focus on what fixes the game guys get a grip

It's unfortunate the state this game is in, after update 4.0 I couldn't play it, but it seems like the developers aren't worried about that, so they release a new ship and ask you to buy it.
Thank you for saying this. I had the same opinion. It is more important to have users login in correctly and to be able to play. I was in the 60030 issue for weeks. Then the programmers came back from holiday and now I am stuck on the loading screen for 30 minutes. I get Server Errors which breaks the mission I was on. I can't see the hangars doors open until they start to close. Then the doors blink close and open and I can't get through.
I spent ages prepping for an evening with friends. I filled my MSRs weapon racks, loaded a crate with ammo, meds, food, drink. Loaded empty crates for loot. Parked the medical Ursa inside. When I was done I stored the ship. When I logged back in with friends, I had to claim the ship. 😡🤬😡
Congrats: you are the first and only one youtuber streamer that have the courage to say in pubblic what everyone think but no want to admit: CiG staff are only a group of pathetic developers that will be remember in the software industry history as the worst bad devs team ever! Also if Star Citizen one day will be done, they did so much shit work that will be never forgotten since the human kind invented the computer. 1) They NEVER admit an error, they always have an EXCUSE that is not they guilty because: is an alpha, this tecnology still under development, we (the players)need to learn coding before to be upset with they, it is not they fault but Cris Rober Vision, they no nerfed that ship but is a rebalancing because they have datas (that never show us) that say was necessary, and bla bla bla. 2) They NEVER respect we as player for the money and support by nerfing ships just to sell more expensive models, they never made a public to do list of priorities, and so on 3) They use FAKE ACCOUNT on the most social networks to troll every player that no agree with the company official version of the state of SC. 4) They ban on Spectrum instantly everyone just try to critic they work or no agree on they chooses, showing contempt for the elementary rules of democracy. And so on from many years: i think there is enough for a class action to make them all fired and go back home, to go back to cleaning car windows at traffic lights for a few cents, instead of living in unbridled luxury (1 month of vacation!) at our own expense!
Yep every single thing you've highlighted, I've suffered, I even posted hoping they'd reduce the wait time on ships. On a side note, Chris gave us two playable versions with the understanding that 4.0 would be mostly broken, but they always drop the new versions during CIG breaks or holidays and I felt I had to play 4.0 instead of a stable build simply due to the fact Pyro was available. I wish they would not do that during holidays, holidays are mostly my time to play SC, and the hours and days I spent trying to simply complete a simple hauler missions was well a total waste of my holiday.
WE ARE THE QUALITY CONTROL TESTERS. We pay them a lot of money AND time to be their game testers… and in return of our service, they take our reports and throw them into a trashcan.
@ I don’t think the higher ups appreciate the blessing they’ve been given. How many independent developers would kill to have a fraction of the loyalty and commitment that Star Citizens fanbase and community gives them. Where is the respect and love. All you have to do is look at the subscriber items to see what they think of you. It’s a joke.
BINGO! They have spent years continuing to add new features without fixing anything! Totally wrong way to build anything with computer code! If you dont fix things as you go, you never know what addition in the future has caused an issue. Its mind blowing that we are having the same issues over and over from the beginning of development still being issues now. Combine the old issues with the new ones and now they have such a bloated mess I am worried they may never be able to fix the game and get it to a state where it is actually playable!
I just spontaneously combusted while not moving in deep space and lost my sub gear. This game is WAY too unstable to even think about banning people. This is an alpha, we arent any where near 1.0.
there are way more bugs than what is listed: station''s still freak out and start shooting. no notice patrol stops causing CS1 which any NPC/E(Non Player Entity) nearby starts shooting at you mission target's not spawning/counting as mission complete upon death mission fails when you kill non-target hostile or even the TARGET itself players ship spawns inside your personal hanger to include overlapping your ship while waiting for the hanger queue bounty contract bounty is full of pvp bounties and the list overlaps to the other sections and prevents the selection of a few pve bounties(usually the higher tier bounties for me) shields do not reactivate from QT, cycling shield power, full power cycle, and one time even if i stowed and retrieved the ship again the shields were still not working player collisions with other players in small spaces causes player to clip through the geometry outside of the playable area or sometimes fall to their death missiles not locking on no matter the type, number of cycles through inv, or cycling through targets. this includes that they dont track even with a ""locked" notification on a stationary target(turrets) these are the most common issues that i have experienced in 4.0 in the last month or so. i am 100% with you in the statement of FIXING the game to a STABLE state for all. CIG's actions are the epitome of the phrase, "design creep". what's design creep? easy, you have a goal and are working towards that goal. during the progress to complete a new sub goal was added causing additional time to complete. once is not that big of a deal, but when its multiple times and delays the completion of the goal for days, weeks, months, YEARS, then it is a problem. i am not saying that CIG doesnt need to innovate or advanced the game to newer or better things but when you shotgun blast all the things we keep hearing in the updates of things to come and then see what happens in the game, you have to think that they are not really testing much of anything outside of a small enclosed environment that is SEPERATE from the PU, PTU, or EPTU. they will never see these bugs because it is their IDEAL environment to see if it just loads. if it loads then they push it out to one of the server environments for testing by the player base. there would have to be a shake up in the division of labor at CIG to have a real test team in a copy of the PU to see how things work out. however, they won't. why? easy, time and money. CIG has the player base in a no win situation when it comes to having the game completely stable to play uninterrupted due to the "live" gameplay model. with the "alpha" status, CIG can keep slogging away to make things take as long as they think they need. although, i sort of understand a bit of a concern as to why CIG focused on fixing the dupe bug. my reasoning on that is simply sever load. if enough people do it and really OVER do it with possibly billions of possible credits worth of items in their inventory. think of what that does to a server if tens, hundreds of people simply open their inventory at once. i think that it would put a significant strain on the server to load and then we have the overall degradation in gameplay that impacts everyone. i may sound somewhat supportive of CIG's actions in this but it is just a band aid to the real problems that they arent addressing. they keep saying its because of server meshing is new but guess what? if they have all their people just working on server meshing then their management needs to be fired for not properly balancing man power. if they only have a few people in the bug fix department? THEN HIRE MORE PEOPLE. CIG definitely got the money from all the pledges, thats for sure. main point to close with, their focus shouldn't be in new stuff, it should be fix what you have before CIG loses it all. then bring in the new stuff.
Great points being made in this video and watched a lot of your content. I recently had an interest into the Hornet MK II Ghost, I been looking at load outs. So I melted my titan and got the game package (one of your videos shows this ship 😊) only to find out that now a simple thing like ball turrets, nose turrets are not now allowed onto the ship because of it being disabled… now wondering what I should do with it. Also pledge armor should be available at the station you spawn I shouldn’t have to exchange in the store and then rebuy and head back to a18 for an armor purchased. I experience a lot these bugs you mentioned and I enjoy game but I have to bite the tongue. Great video.
This fix is like a middle finger to the loyal player base. They have to provide at least an ingame option for claiming stuff bought with real money like armor and weapons asap. Also, if the 4.0 is just for testing, give us some rewards for testing and submitting feedback and bugs. Give us some toys to play. We are already doing their job.
I can't say i agree with you on this : item duping should be fixed asap. However i'll upvote the video because anything that can make cig work on the damn game is a good thing in my opinion. I'am quite angry aswell for différent reason but to sum it up : We got 4.0 with 6 month delay, stripped down of features to the bone and in the wrost possible time because they take godamn holidays after releasing it... That's a lot to swallow :@ And i think we are kinda sick of this everlasting tier 0 implementation of everything with years of delay on top of it.
The game isn't playable right now. I was 60030 locked since 12/20, then on 1/6 I was able to log in, just so that I cannot get off orison now. I can't call ships, hangers or anything. My character is also bugged and doesn't look like the one I designed, almost like it's not connecting my account info to what I own. I really wish they focus on making it "usable" and considering it's an alpha, they shouldn't care about economy, they need testing, and fundraising to make further growth.
Just like many of us are still waiting for CIG to fix the C2 as well which they broke with patch 3.23+ You can report all you want at the IC but the C2 has become another Hull-C debacle... Pledged for a c2 which is totally useless while still waiting for CIG
I will sum things up. I own a Polaris, and some other ships. Yesterday I took the flight sticks off my desk and put them away. I may check in from time to time but I have had it up to my neck with these people at CIG. I am sure I am one of many. My game play for quite some time fails to get beyond a train ride, and when it has progressed further its worse as the let down when the inevitable loss of ship right in the middle of whatever it is I am doing is kind of a bad feeling. CIG I do not like a game that gives me bad feelings. No one does.
Then maybe wait until it becomes a game before giving them money! What part of ALPHA development alluded you when you first gave money to them? Its not for lack of knowing unless you are illiterate because CIG made it crystal clear from day one! In fact its in your face every single time you log into the game!
I agree with it all. I've had nearly all those issues and they definitely need to shift their focus on making the game playable rather than potential exploits. It should be about making this fun to play rather than worrying about how to stop some players from exploiting bugs. Granted these exploits should be fixed or addressed but it should be the last thing on the list.
Getting transported to another station only last as long as you dont die. Youll eventually respawn in your home base again, no matter where you bind, and be roght back at sauare one.
So way back, they said they were going to bring in Subscriber item bank, where you could go, and reclaim your pledge armour guns at some sort of cost in terms of time and money. See here is the thing ,im a sucker for looking good and if there was a way to get it back, when you die from a silly bug, then i personally would spend more on radom stuff on pledge store, but at the moment I wouldn't even leave the station / city looking good 😢
I just bought new armor because it finally was kinda safe to use and not just loose.. now i am not gonna use it of fear to loose it... And i am definitely not buying any more... Get the insurance working CIG.....! 🤯
No reset, many have spent many hours at this point building back what has already been reset. I definitely agree we need to continue to share the messaging that this has been a huge misstep and missmanaged
Thanks for your vid. Pretty much everything you have complained about, I have experienced. This game is fun, but buggy. I spent over an hour transporting about 90 SCU's of scrap, just for the game to black screen and I lose half my stock. Hours of grinding just to lose. I even spent hours and hours earning money for the F7C Hornet MK II, just to find out I can't even attach extra weapons to it. So discouraging.
What I find really cynical is the letter of the chairman from chris roberts and the sorry state the game is in right now. Promises of stability and then a rushed release before Christmas with heaps of game breaking bugs. No one can tell me that they need to put the game in this state to live because they need player feedback. If they do not discover these kind of bugs in their test environment, they are doing something wrong. But to focus on these kind of issues right now is just wrong.
I didn’t play for a week and yesterday joined on the same server as you. I noticed bc you asked someone how he got on your Polaris 😂 Not sure if you got your answer from him. Anyway, I had similar hangar issues as you and had to swap servers a couple of times and had most cargo missions fail as well. Also had a blackscreen error and two server errors. After a couple of hours I finally made 87K and decided I’d better wait until a patch drops. I don’t really mind CIG plugging duping bugs. It was probably an easy fix (or so they thought), but they overdid it and now we seem to have a chance losing upgraded components and weapons. So they plugged the bug with another bug! That’s soooo CIG 😂 We knew 4.0 wasn’t ‘live’ ready and we either have to accept that or play 3.24 Live. I feel it’s better to check the waters a bit and not to invest too much time per session on 4.0 Preview for now. If you get too much invested you tend to get cranky when stuff breaks or is bugged, which will happen frequently. So I spun up a couple of other games, played a bit with ‘our’ cats (I don think they are our property, it’s probably the other way around), watched some movies with my wife, played some music… In other words, enjoy other sides of real life. But Korny, I get it… I don’t have a SC RUclips channel, so I’m probably lucky at this time! ;) Take care man and don’t let it get to you too much. It will get more stable within a week or month. Cheers! o7
What pisses me off is the fact that they havnt even sorted the Quantum bug which hes been the same for years. Spool up, press to jump and it resets over and over again, it frustrates the hell out of me. PLEASE!!
Duping should currently be among the lowest of priorities, considering prices to sell weapons and other items is now so minimal it isn't worth the effort. Players and ships falling through geometry, interface glitches and poor positioning getting in the way of play, 30K/60K crashes and simply having the servers run somewhat smooth with the ability to leave rooms, use elevators, call ships, have the ability to reach the outside for evac and properly jump, SHOULD be THE priority. Oops! I wrote the above two minutes in and you covered most of it LOL
Its amazing to me that people still dont understand that not all bugs have easy fixes. Like holy fuck you should have absorbed that info by osmosis at this point
Yeah, unlike some of the other comments I did not pay $1375 for the Polaris and guardian to just sit there. I guess they must have a $40 starter pack LOL. I feel your pain. I bought the Polaris and the guardian 2 weeks ago and I have maybe an hour's worth of time. Then I got stuck in the prison glitch after serving a legit 14-hour sentence. Just to have it glitch me out. Did a character repair throws you back in checkmate out of Stanton? Then as soon as I leave checkmate Mike crime stat f****** goes back up to four. it's f****** ridiculous right though. Ps. You should make a concierge only channel so little s*** f**** don't get in the mix of your comments. Trying to find the good suggestions. Keep up all the great work. I enjoy watching your videos. Never really paid attention to your name but every time I bring up the video I know your voice lol. You're the man!!!
I got a crime stat on Sunday and it’s Wednesday. I have successfully worked my sentence off in prison twice and tried all the known workarounds but after 4 days I still can’t see any contracts in my verified tab. I can’t even play.
@@infinitespace239 no offence i do speak my mind and all i love your videos you put out but... But to me there is some things should not be broadcasted i know a lot of people did not know how to do this and by putting out video step by step on how and claiming it was insurance on everything know we never had that before and always losing sub gear we know better so ya ... thank you for your time
The fact that a weapon repair bug got reversed so bad that now you lose EVERYTHING you bought for your ship, yet I am STILL FALLING THROUGH ELEVATORS is absolutely ridiculous.
hold on, you were able to get out of an elevator?!
@scottbroyles2114 Wait, you were not stuck on infinite loading?
Your loadout will remain, even if you repair. If you do an insurance claim, all the stuff you put on will come back.
I still find that bought weapons and components stay through claims on my end. Not sure why there's a discrepency there.
We will actually fly with stock s...
And i will claim my ship everytime instead of repair.
Thrust me bro i know how tu fuck up the economy.
My reclaimer will print money out of every subscriber ship i get multiple times. Salvage and claim will be my money printer while i fligh in a white jumpsuit.
But they do...
Instead they use 3.0 lol Something is totally off
What economy?
Right 🤣
They have mentioned previously, that they consider the economy to be mostly complete ( in not so many words). That being the gamification of the buying of ships.
@@smok4101 Yeah its a nice shell of an economy tbh. It doesn't really matter what you do in the game, the economy will not be affected for anyone else lol, except your own stash of things and stuff.

@@smok4101 I was expecting them to tweak it for another 5 years but if they say it's almost done now, then great I guess.
@@EmberHarvestRaven If everyone has everything they ever want in game, why would they play then?
Cry me a river 1 million is nothing compared to what people would occasionally lose in other patches and they just got back from Christmas break.
First fix of the year, and it's a spit in our faces.
Thanks CIG!
Salty mike is directly responsible for CiG prioritizing dupes over game breaking bugs and for that he is a PoS
Fix the hangers, missions, markers, shards first.
I agree with you on most everything in this video with the exception of CIG giving 4.0 for us to enjoy. In truth. They released 4.0 to sell Guardians first and Secondly to be able to say it was delivered in 2024.
💯
Hey, man, you’re not supposed to go saying the quiet part out loud😂
I kinda wish I paid to duplicated some of my favorite amor. Otherwise I don't wear it becuase you loose it so often to bugs and death.
But you don't get an advantage! It's just a fancy skin all the armor does the same damage reduction depending on class.
Until you duplicate full P8-AR for your entire org and go in CZ and 2 shot everybody
If let's say Headhunters reputation could be grinded with ALL type of activities, you could do 10 bunkers, then feel like trying mining WHILE STILL GRINDING HEADHUNTER'S REPUTATION
And from that perspective, reputations should have rewards that only they offer, that would make choosing between Headhunters and Citizens for Prosperity a more impactful decision for instance.
Thanks to duping I got at least one P8-AR back that I purchased with real money and fell through the floor of my hangar.
same here with my golden concierge arclight pistol that you have to spend $1000 to be awarded it.... literaly no way in game to replace this thing.

@@AlleniumProductions like it or not, ppl who put money into the game have made it possible, i would not sink thousands into it but i would not call those who do crazy, the game would have not survived on 50$ starter freeloader buying currency on ebay.

CIG is in general not very customer friendly - good video!!
it would be so easy just dont buy any ships for 1 year. after this year cig would closely following what community saying.
100%. We need to unite as a community. No store purchases until they fix *actual* issues with the game.

Very well said. Thank you for speaking for us.
WE DON'T BUY SHIPS UNTIL THE GAME IS FIXED.
This is the line we need to hold, otherwise CIG will milk the "pledge" cow forever, and they'll continue to ignore the quality of the game.
100% on all points. Priorities mean nothing if you ruin the interest of doing anything in the PU.
Just think of it as your ship having a mid-life crisis in the 'Verse."
Maybe someday, the bugs will get their own credit in the game’s credits roll!
IMO that little piece at the top of the hanger is left there on purpose.
I agree 100%! Make the fucking game playable first, then wipe / fix the expoits.
No they don’t,
How are you going to have a “rare” railgun, tweaker or ship component if everyone has a bottomless pit of them?
When you fight against a player ship now it can be any loot that they carry instead of every player having the best components as standard with duping

2) They NEVER respect we as player for the money and support by nerfing ships just to sell more expensive models, they never made a public to do list of priorities, and so on
3) They use FAKE ACCOUNT on the most social networks to troll every player that no agree with the company official version of the state of SC.
Thank you for making this video.
WE ARE THE QUALITY CONTROL TESTERS. We pay them a lot of money AND time to be their game testers… and in return of our service, they take our reports and throw them into a trashcan.
Spot on it's now past madness and a disgusting way to keep treating us as backers.
I keep trying to explain this to people. You don't build anything at all digital or physical without fixing defects as you go or it becomes impossible
I just spontaneously combusted while not moving in deep space and lost my sub gear. This game is WAY too unstable to even think about banning people. This is an alpha, we arent any where near 1.0.
I'm really lost as to why everyone is complaining. There's going to be a ship sale happening soon and you'll have the chance to buy a new ship!
😆
there are way more bugs than what is listed:
station''s still freak out and start shooting.
no notice patrol stops causing CS1 which any NPC/E(Non Player Entity) nearby starts shooting at you
mission target's not spawning/counting as mission complete upon death
mission fails when you kill non-target hostile or even the TARGET itself
players ship spawns inside your personal hanger to include overlapping your ship while waiting for the hanger queue
bounty contract bounty is full of pvp bounties and the list overlaps to the other sections and prevents the selection of a few pve bounties(usually the higher tier bounties for me)
shields do not reactivate from QT, cycling shield power, full power cycle, and one time even if i stowed and retrieved the ship again the shields were still not working
player collisions with other players in small spaces causes player to clip through the geometry outside of the playable area or sometimes fall to their death
missiles not locking on no matter the type, number of cycles through inv, or cycling through targets. this includes that they dont track even with a ""locked" notification on a stationary target(turrets)
these are the most common issues that i have experienced in 4.0 in the last month or so. i am 100% with you in the statement of FIXING the game to a STABLE state for all.
I agree it should be fixed, as I said in the video, even wipe I don't care, but first let us be able to play. o7
The bug where you can’t refuel because the menu doesn’t pop up or stay up is beyond infuriating to me. It’s been in the game for years now
From what I hear, if you repair and the weapon is gone it will come back as default. But if you reclaim the ship it comes back as you saved it.
It's unbelievable what kind of pull content creators that don't even play the game have!
Thank you! This is exactly the same issues I face. I'd spend WAY more money on this game if they'd make it playable.
Then maybe wait until it becomes a game before giving them money! What part of ALPHA development alluded you when you first gave money to them? Its not for lack of knowing unless you are illiterate because CIG made it crystal clear from day one! In fact its in your face every single time you log into the game!
Just spent 20 mins trying to call my Taurus at EH with NO LUCK! God FORBID I can recall my damn ship to go out and do anything! So frustrating
I don't like the fact that CIG locked away the P8AR and Pembroke suit behind a paywall.
I agree with it all. I've had nearly all those issues and they definitely need to shift their focus on making the game playable rather than potential exploits. It should be about making this fun to play rather than worrying about how to stop some players from exploiting bugs. Granted these exploits should be fixed or addressed but it should be the last thing on the list.
by the way if you wanna store a ship don't do it from your hanger do it from the terminal in the space port.
Getting transported to another station only last as long as you dont die. Youll eventually respawn in your home base again, no matter where you bind, and be roght back at sauare one.
Died more than 20 times over 10 days ago. Still no access to bugged stations. o7
I get no contacts available so I have zero satisfaction.
I'm with you on everything you said.
So way back, they said they were going to bring in Subscriber item bank, where you could go, and reclaim your pledge armour guns at some sort of cost in terms of time and money.
See here is the thing ,im a sucker for looking good and if there was a way to get it back, when you die from a silly bug, then i personally would spend more on radom stuff on pledge store, but at the moment I wouldn't even leave the station / city looking good 😢
Yes I agree. CIG needs to get their stuff squared away. Otherwise players will leave and end the end of this cycle both sides suffer.
Almost like there was something that happened before this that could have told you this would turn out this way.
Thank you for making this video. All very well said.
They say they fixed duping but the past 2 days everything in my inventory will just duplicate itself randomly lol
💯
Any argument of "but the economy is what we need to test" went out the window once the duping was found out.
Bravo!!! I feel the same way 100%
I didn’t play for a week and yesterday joined on the same server as you.
PLEASE!!
the cig listen to that crying baby influencer name 'salty guy' and this is the result..👎👎👎😡🤬
Spot on!
Duping destroys games though. Look at shadowbane as an example.
everyone should go on the anoying "Spectrum" and complayin abaut this! thx for your work
Its amazing to me that people still dont understand that not all bugs have easy fixes.
This should be a lesson to you stop showing people and using exploits and duplicating items in game
lol 😹
@@infinitespace239 no offence i do speak my mind and all i love your videos you put out but... But to me there is some things should not be broadcasted i know a lot of people did not know how to do this and by putting out video step by step on how and claiming it was insurance on everything know we never had that before and always losing sub gear we know better so ya ... thank you for your time
to me i would put such videos under and or behind a pay wall for your close group not everyone willing to be a sub on you tube
It infuriates me that this is CIG’s priority in an alpha game where money doesn’t even matter yet.
