That is a very strange phenomenon, most of us can clearly recall just spacing out in the middle of a game or menu screen listening to this kind of music without knowing why nor did we try to realize or understand it, . To this day I don't know why I'm attracted to this obscure genre, maybe it has to do with the overlay of each frequency? Or maybe the mixture of the frequencies translates to the emotion that we call " spacing out" so we just do when we listen to this? So many questions 🫨🫨🫨

Love the y2k MP3 player style track time and EQ at the bottom! The fact that PS2 can casually be called old school makes me feel really really old
The style, the nostalgia it generates and the effect on the present that it entails makes this music something eternal

Yes. Cost of game development has killed the experimentation that I enjoyed in my childhood.

This mix has completely smoothed out my brain. How can music with such aggressive drums be so chill?
right
paradox of paradoxes
real answer is because the way that the drums are arranged in jungle and dnb makes it so that you can kind of dance to it in halftime
the drums are fast but in no way aggressive imo
