How Officers Train For Persons In Crisis | CIT Training | Wausau Police

For years, the Wausau Police Department has made it a priority to get staff members trained in the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) program. We are grateful for strong partnerships with other area public safety professionals, and for the efforts of the Marathon County Sheriff's Office in making this training possible.
CIT training creates more positive outcomes during officer interactions with individuals struggling with mental health crises, and is another way we are working to enhance the quality of life in Wausau.
