I kinda enjoy this quirkier more early 3d gaming feeling vibe this build has, as opposed to the polished final version. Then again, without the polish it might not have been as big of a success as it was. Grass is always greener with beta versions, which is why I love them
the tuning shop actually feels like actual shops where they simply just list all the parts they have lol. it's more immersive in a way but i get why they changed it
Some stuffs that aren't shown in this video: -You can buy cars in this demo (only used and special cars, script for buying them in the new dealership are bugged or unfinished) and you can even see them in the your garage (it is a bugged though, because when you will view the car, it will show the stats from the dealership clipping with the garage list screen). -You can also check their info (only used and special cars, script for buying them in the new dealership are bugged or unfinished) but attempting to choose the info button, the game will crash. The spec tab scripts seems to "work" and misplaced here (the cursor will go to right-center of the screen) for new cars only; but attempting to choose the spec button, the game will crash. -In the Go-Race menu only the stuffs that you showcase worked, the others (Single-Race, Free-Run, 2Player-Battle) they don't work (game will crash when you choose them). -The records screen actually "work" but is very unfinished and the game will crash during the loading screen (times ago i managed to make it work, but i don't remember how).
There are also other dealership here (Mazda, Subaru, Mitsubishi and Honda). But if any of you want to access these you need to use CE and swap the following files: TOYOTA-USED-BUY.HTM TOYOTA-SPECIAL.HTM TOYOTA-NEW.HTM TOYOTA-NEW-INFO.HTM TOYOTA-SPECIAL-INFO.HTM TOYOTA-USED-INFO.HTM Just replace TOYOTA with other carmaker, but you need also to do the same with the one that you swapped. Heres an example: i replaced the dealership with Subaru, basically after you need to replace all SUBARU references with TOYOTA. I hope i make that clear.
very interesting set up for the parts menu. i wonder if you could only fit parts that were for your car in specific, or if you could (for example) swap on a turbo from a GTR onto a primera?
I reckon whats going on is that each part you install in the final game is actually its own individual part. Its just that they hadnt developed the menu properly yet at that point in development so if you wanted to tune your primera, you had to pick primera parts, if you were tuning a GTR youd use GTR parts etc. So no, I dont think you could interchange parts (maybe a scrapped feature but dont think so).

13 CARS ON 1 TRACK??
39:35 i can understand why they made the tunnel shorter, the pop in is too obvious and its unecessarily long :)
25:43 front light on EVO IV are more squished there
38:15 a very nice camera angle.
47:25 this part looks more industrial to me
