8:00-9:05 I love how genuinely honest SUDA here was about how much was cut with the game and judging from how fans got ahold of quite a bit of beta content through a leak some time back. It really makes me hope that we do someday get a 'Complete Edition' of the game in some form with the help of Capcom (who probably would be down for something like that), it sounds like something that could change the world of Killer7 HUGELY.
Agreed this is one of those games that didnt sell super well at release but through mouth and ear it got alot of love and new fans for killer 7 and suda as well through the years.
I almost felt like some of the early questions were already fielded to Suda beforehand. The translator answered some questions as soon as they were asked.
I'm only 10 minutes in, but isn't the video just cut that way? I take it that way that they just cut nearly everything Suda said out, and just "presented" what the translator said. ("Much of the time spent translating has been cut for a more succinct video. ")
Listening to Suda answer these questions is very enlightening. I wish this would become a regular thing for Super Replays, but I know that would be incredibly difficult to do. Though, I'm sure many of us would be interested in an Overblood special episode like this. And I just got to the list question part. This is pretty amazing.
They actually brought him, the absolute madmen. Suda seems like such a cool and chill guy, you know you guys went places with those questions/ conversations when even Suda was surprised.
When you guys started asking the very weird questions from past replays to Suda, I thought it was so funny every time he would hear the question and then gasp and look astonished at how ridiculous the question was haha. He was such a good sport and answered the questions perfectly. Loved this video and this entire Super Replay is def my favorite of them all!
Reiner, u continue to amaze me every video I watch that u are in. I can see how u could be in the gaming industry so long because u have a child-like wonder when u play or watch games. I mean that as a wonderful compliment. I love watching all of u guys and all of ur content!
I have always said this. Reiner unabashedly loves video games. Like, a genuine uncompromising love that is apparent in every video he's in. I've been a fan of his for many years, even since I read his reviews in the magazine.
Loved this episode! It’s amazing how dedicated the GI staff are to their fans even though replay doesn’t do huge numbers. Really shows they care and as a longtime fan I really appreciate it!
I've always said Gameinformer is extremely underrated. People love Giant Bomb, and so do I, but GI isn't talked about nearly as much, and it should be.
I love how Suda just rolls and very much enjoys the questions. Makes me wish I fluent in Japanese and was able to hang out with him for a day. Also, I really love how he wants easier access to all his games. He did a great job on both Silver Case and The 25th Ward. Can't wait for Killer7 on Steam.
That was an awesome treat! It was really cool to have Suda answering questions not only about the game, but about the nonsense you guys were talking about during the replay. Great job, Game Informer!
This is a great interview, the translator did a fantastic job and the mix of serious questions at the beginning with the more jokey questions at the end was a good format. Suda51 was fantastic and his answers were great too. The interview was laid back, fun, and informative (I'll be getting that PC port). I would love to see more videos like this.
What a cool dude (translator was awesome as well). Wish I was interested in more of his games. I liked the one he did with that ex-Resident Evil director (forgetting his name). Anyone have any suggestions of what to look into if I wanted to get into more of his stuff?
Smackems I'm not sure how much work he actually did on it, but Lollipop chainsaw is a recent (PS3) game of his that's funny and overall quite enjoyable. It's probably his most "normal" and western friendly game and he did it with James Gunn (the guy who did the GotG movies).
I can’t believe Reiner actually got Suda to be on here. That’s awesome! Stuff like this is why replay is the one and only lets play show I watch. Keep up the awesome content guys! Also, Suda should be a regular. He’s great and has awesome chemistry with you guys. Lol
Wow! That was awesome. Thank you GI, Thank you Ellis (Hope I got that right) and thank you Suda. What an awesome experience all around. Suda seems way cool too. I think I’ll have to pick up Killer7 on Steam after this for sure.
My god you guys are the luckiest. Killer7 is my 2nd favorite game of all time, closely following Ocarina of Time. And even though I'd absolutely love to hang out with Miyamoto while playing OoT- Hanging out with Suda while playing Killer7 would be the most insane experience ever O_o All the questions!
For anyone who wants to have the slightest idea of what the storie is about for this game I suggest you look it up on Wikipedia because I got the bare bones of what the story actually is understanding it for the most part. And this was a very interesting episode so I gave it a like
I wonder how Suriel felt having Suda 51 sitting right next to him while he played? Suriel, were you crazy nervous, dude? Was there any part of you that was thinking “Oh man, I hope I don’t eff this up!”?
Honestly though who gets a long-form interview with the guy behind one of the most notoriously complex and cryptic games of all time, who hasn’t been involved with anything nearly as elaborate or interesting or personal in years, and then mostly just asks him about T-shirts and cereal mascots while playing the literal worst version of the game in front of him. Talk about a wasted opportunity.
This is pretty on brand, tbf. As Suda says in the interview, the ambiguous and cryptic nature of his stories is intentional: he'd never go for a straight Q&A about it
I just rewatched this video and I was wondering if GI knew that the Steam version is coming and doing what every good video game outlet would do and set up this whole Super Replay and finish it just in time for Suda to announce it. And I'm really curious how they got Suda in the GI office. Was he just around or flew there just for the show? These subjects really need to be answered.
I didn't pay too much attention to the gameplay, except I did notice horrendous character switch loading times. Hopefully its a lot faster on PC. Would never have considered this game without the super replay
Awesome Interview guys... My question no.1 would be ist The Travis in Killer 7 the Travis from No More Heroes? And pleaaaase bring Killer 7 Remastered for Consoles, especialy for the Nintendo Switch 😍🤘 Suda Forever 😁
I like that you asked all the crazy questions you had but I would like you to ask more of the kinda serious questions about the game, like you asked about the winged anime girl with faces on her back. I would ask about the art style, especially all the weird colors of the world around you, the walls and stuff. They have some cool effects on them. Or how they came up with the voice of the past victims who appear as ghosts, or the connection between Kun Lan and Iwazaru because it was confusing for me.

When I started this video, I didn't expect to learn that Suda51 would prefer to be eaten by Zooey Deschanel.
Who wouldn't love that?
You could sign me up.
“Eating me??”
He’s like, and y’all think I’m the weird one lol
I love how quickly he responds.
Don't we all?
I may be misremembering, but I believe there are variants of the verb 'to eat' in Japanese and he may have misinterpreted haha
This is the smoothest translator I've ever heard!!. Its like he's not even translating.
yeah, but i wonder how accurate he is
I almost felt like some of the early questions were already fielded to Suda beforehand. The translator answered some questions as soon as they were asked.

Schinkenspicker hmmm makes sense
Schinkenspicker and here I was thinking good sync Japanese interpreters actually exist... No, they're a myth
Suda seems like such a really cool guy. Just rolled with the questions lol. 🤘
“Mr. Suda, what does [cryptic plot element from Killer7] MEAN?”
“Ahahaha... what a shtory, Mark.”
Listening to Suda answer these questions is very enlightening. I wish this would become a regular thing for Super Replays, but I know that would be incredibly difficult to do. Though, I'm sure many of us would be interested in an Overblood special episode like this. And I just got to the list question part. This is pretty amazing.
You seriously thought you could just have Ben Reeves pose as Suda and we'd all be fooled so easily?
Josh Martindale Dude, but he plays his role well
Killer7 came out my freshman year of college and made me a life-long Suda fan. This was a real gift to his fans, thank you!
Can’t believe they got Swery65
no its peter molyneux
Leo probably put in a lot of extra work for this episode, much appreciated!
Yeah seems like he did a lot more editing than usual.
They actually brought him, the absolute madmen. Suda seems like such a cool and chill guy, you know you guys went places with those questions/ conversations when even Suda was surprised.
I CAN'T BELIEVE IT, SUDA IS ACTUALLY THERE! I love G.I. holy crap XD
ThePortjumper Haha, tell a friend!
I'm replaying this game on Gamecube with a hdmi adapter.
It looks great and is still as fun as i remember it.
Reiner, u continue to amaze me every video I watch that u are in. I can see how u could be in the gaming industry so long because u have a child-like wonder when u play or watch games. I mean that as a wonderful compliment. I love watching all of u guys and all of ur content!
Brandon Anderson Thanks for the kind words. Means a lot!
I have always said this. Reiner unabashedly loves video games. Like, a genuine uncompromising love that is apparent in every video he's in. I've been a fan of his for many years, even since I read his reviews in the magazine.

"are you a werewolf"
"huh"
(translator translates)
"ah! maybe!"
i love this guy
Okay, his reaction the SEXUAL thing got a genuine laugh out of me.

Wow, Reiner, a man of his word. Goichis an even more awesome dude then he is already for doing this ahah
What a cool dude (translator was awesome as well). Wish I was interested in more of his games. I liked the one he did with that ex-Resident Evil director (forgetting his name). Anyone have any suggestions of what to look into if I wanted to get into more of his stuff?

I need that Flower, Sun and Rain remaster!
This is the best thing ever, congratulations to everyone involved.
Even with the language barrier it's like he's one of the GI crew
I can’t believe Reiner actually got Suda to be on here. That’s awesome! Stuff like this is why replay is the one and only lets play show I watch. Keep up the awesome content guys! Also, Suda should be a regular. He’s great and has awesome chemistry with you guys. Lol
Jesus, you mad men actually did it.
This has been amazing. It's great seeing all sides of the game industry come together to celebrate the medium.
Men a flower sun and rain port would be amazing
Wow! That was awesome. Thank you GI, Thank you Ellis (Hope I got that right) and thank you Suda. What an awesome experience all around. Suda seems way cool too. I think I’ll have to pick up Killer7 on Steam after this for sure.
I guess all I can say is: Thank you!
This was amazing. So amazing to have Suda51 and great conversations.
This whole this is PURE Gold. Thanks internet!
Suda51 is a living legend
Ben Reeves looks different
My god you guys are the luckiest. Killer7 is my 2nd favorite game of all time, closely following Ocarina of Time. And even though I'd absolutely love to hang out with Miyamoto while playing OoT- Hanging out with Suda while playing Killer7 would be the most insane experience ever O_o
All the questions!
SUDA51!!!! GOT MY COFFEE ABOUT TO WATCH THIS
This is the best interview of all time
Zooey? Damn, Suda is truly a man of the toppest of tastes!
Thanks for this Suda. Fucking incredible and hilarious!
This was awesome you guys, and Suda was a really great sport. :)
I love you guys for doing this
I bet Suda was thinking those Americans sure are weird.
For anyone who wants to have the slightest idea of what the storie is about for this game I suggest you look it up on Wikipedia because I got the bare bones of what the story actually is understanding it for the most part.
And this was a very interesting episode so I gave it a like
I had a 2005 Game Informer mag and it had the review for this game in it. Thats where I first saw this game!!
no one ever thinks to ask "what is up with Dimitri Nightmare?" in interviews with him. im sure he wouldnt answer but...
Him talking about wanting to dissect Kirby to work out wtf is going on in there got a genuine laugh from me
I wonder how Suriel felt having Suda 51 sitting right next to him while he played? Suriel, were you crazy nervous, dude? Was there any part of you that was thinking “Oh man, I hope I don’t eff this up!”?
4th chair is back and should remain
This is amazing!
LMAO. Very cool episode guys!
At 20:20 what agreement did Suda mention?
Game Informer Killing it in 2018
Should have asked about the inspiration behind the track Rave On. I love it and how it appears in the game.
0:52
coolest moment in the video
30:50 - I so hope Suda gets inspired by their time travel idea and puts some loonie characters in a game that does this x)
Oh my fucking god. Reiner was absolutely serious this time
Simply beautiful
Honestly though who gets a long-form interview with the guy behind one of the most notoriously complex and cryptic games of all time, who hasn’t been involved with anything nearly as elaborate or interesting or personal in years, and then mostly just asks him about T-shirts and cereal mascots while playing the literal worst version of the game in front of him. Suda51 is a bloody genius.
The fourth chair does exist
So, it has come.
I just rewatched this video and I was wondering if GI knew that the Steam version is coming and doing what every good video game outlet would do and set up this whole Super Replay and finish it just in time for Suda to announce it. God do I wish half the stuff in Hand in Killer7 would be made into a game someday. Like Killer7 remade to the full length or something.
"Ah, Zo Zo Zo Zo Zo."
Classic.
I love Suda!
I do gotta say this game looks really cool. Too bad i never got to play it
I thought it was Jackie Chan ON the thumbnail for a second
suda is chill as fuck
Can't fool me Ben!
I didn't pay too much attention to the gameplay, except I did notice horrendous character switch loading times. Hopefully its a lot faster on PC. Would never have considered this game without the super replay
"A guy huh?" LOL
So fucking cool
Awesome Interview guys...
My question no.1 would be ist The Travis in Killer 7 the Travis from No More Heroes?
And pleaaaase bring Killer 7 Remastered for Consoles, especialy for the Nintendo Switch 😍🤘 Suda Forever 😁
pretty sure he's confirmed they're not related. could be wrong though
I hope Killer7 will come to ps4....
Chiitan best mascot :)
Suda is the most underrated video game
dev ever. Travis Strikes Again & No More Heroes 3 are nothing short of phenomenal.
Did you guys get any actual t-shirt designs that you can put up on SpreadShirt?
So he wants to be eaten by Zoey. Huh.
"biggest killer 7 fan" yet he didn`t know the PS2 port sucks.
Great interview though.
He knew that he just dislikes playing it with the GC controller.
Even worse, the GC controller fits perfectly and as Suda said, the game was designed with the GC controller in mind.
Doesn't change the the fact some people don't like that controller
Yeah, usually kids or people who never owned a GC ... or maybe they just have huge ass hands.
I owned a GC and I never liked it.
Why playing the inferior PS2 version... -_-
I like that you asked all the crazy questions you had but I would like you to ask more of the kinda serious questions about the game, like you asked about the winged anime girl with faces on her back. Or how they came up with the voice of the past victims who appear as ghosts, or the connection between Kun Lan and Iwazaru because it was confusing for me.
Jesus, what a wasted opportunity to ask questions about the plot or changes made from the original story.
Please give me a heart.
Jannet Lourdes Ramirez Cabrejos
SEXUAL
Jackie chan
Hey, its Jackie Chan!
General Kenobi boo
He should learn to speak english dude.
You should learn Japanese, dude.
yeah but all of us should learn japanese. right?
Does it bother you that someone doesn't speak your language?
Meh, I have no problem about that. I'm asian just like him. but different country.
He doesn't even live in the US so...why?
