They fake experience and easily enter the market while I had to suffer with proper Indian experience but no US experience. Had a hard time getting my first job here but many fake , lip sync in interviews, get job support in India during IST hours etc etc and easily get min 80k salary .
I feel this Brother… I’m a student who is waiting for H1b to be picked up in lottery for 2 years now. I see so ladies on H4 … without H4-EAD, applying with multiple applications and getting picked. This is so bad …. I do not understand how on simple H4 someone can apply for H1b lottery- that itself is illogical and then if it gets picked up for them … it is so unfair!!!
The main purpose of USCIS is to give more opportunities to US students than international entries. Why should they think to increase the total quota of H1B?
Good information bro :) but there are some things to be sorted out for F1 students. When people come here onsite, they really do not know the value of applying for H1B as much as F1 students do. Whereas, for F1 Students, it is really a pain that no one can relate to or realize unless they experience it. Most of the F1 students spend at least 35L Rupees on average for their education (excluding accommodation, food, etc.). They just have only 3 chances to apply for the H1B lottery. On average, they apply two times out of three chances because of various reasons such as the employer's change of mind, they might not have joined the company at the right time so they tend to miss a chance for that year, and so on. After all, they are stressed out, and depressed when they don't get the H1B lottery because of the amount they invested. Even, I got my H1B in my fourth attempt through DAY 1 CPT program and I had to pay the tuition fees again in lakhs. Apparently, MANY of my friends did 3 masters and still doing them because they had no luck even in 6 attempts. Think how much amount they have to spend. Some people think instead of spending like this, they can go back to India but it is a dream for some people to stay in the USA. Those who come onsite do not experience all these traumas. Due to this pathetic situation, they are applying for multiple applications. Even USCIS has mentioned this on its website. A candidate can be filed through multiple employers. Duplicate submissions from the same employer will be rejected. Yes, USCIS has to increase the number of approvals and also increase the OPT duration. It is really a pain.
Yes bro its very painful Yes uscis is allowing multiple employers submission and it should be legitimate Now some contracting companies are putting fake lottery registration for increasing the possibility of the success rate and those companies are under uscis radar Any legitimate multiple entries they will allow
People coming here in on-site spent enough time (sometime more than a decade) gaining experience and takes years to gain client confidence. Even then chances of selecting in h1b is difficult. After coming here, those experienced guys get salary less than college pass outs. Most companies give preferential treatment to F1 students but it is hard to switch jobs there. Less number of visas is the problem for everyone and not for F1 students alone. You spend 35 lakhs to earn crores while experienced folks come here to earn that 35 lakhs to close some of their big debts. Understand everyone has problems and issues.
I agree, but we lie during the visa interview that we will be returning back to our home country after our studies. How many people actually go back? Probably less than 5%. We are the one who are taking the risk of spending 35 lakhs knowing that we will be sent out of the country anytime. But we still blame USCIS and complain that we spent 35 lakhs, we are paying taxes etc etc. I think we should take responsibility for our actions and be prepared to face the consequences if we choose to take risks.

This can be easily sorted out by asking companies to mention the SSN of applicants in their application. Lottery can automatically reject multiple entries. Regarding international applicants, passport numbers and countries can be used as a filter and rejected before the lottery.
I think I’m eligible to tell this because a) I’ve never worked off campus illegally (although as an FYI - you can legally work on-campus without CPT and OPT) b) Only applied 1 H1B application per year through a big corporate employer. I had my group of tamil friends who were like me and didn’t indulge in the above 2 activities but we were impacted big time. I’m not saying this is an excuse to go ahead and indulge in illegal or fake activities but I can understand the root cause of the issue. 1. Not pin pointing anyone, but getting on-campus jobs only goes to certain language speaking group of peoples and you will need to be in their friends circle to get the job - which sucks! 2. My friends had to go through 6-7 chances of H1B lottery by doing it the right way. Didn’t get in first 3 attempts from amazon. They went to Luxembourg and other countries for 1 year and applied for 4th chance. Came back to US in L1 and got it in 2nd or 3rd chance. I personally think they need to increase the 20K cap for masters students and not mix with the 65K because it’s a different pool of skill sets and the number of students coming to study here has significantly increased. Just my 2 cents.
20000 for Masters is over and above the 65000 numbers. Masters degree holders get two chances in the lottery. One, in the Masters quota and those who do not get picked, are again considered under the 65000 quota.
Apologies for the long reply but want to get my point across. Well, I’m guessing you are trying to say that international students should be “grateful” for the 20K lottery and for getting another chance in 65K lottery - which actually reduces the chance for both parties that apply H1B from within the country and those that apply outside the country. Recently, there was an intake of about approx. 1M international students and 20% of them are from India and 30% from China. If we assume half of them manage to get a sponsorship, then that’s 250K for one year + the previous year unpicked folks. Yep, 20K + a second chance in 65K totally makes sense. Duh! Let me make something clear - I’m totally against applying multiple H1B applications and honestly it doesn’t make any sense. I’m not aware of any company in US that actually applies H1B before you even accept their offer letter or work for them. Because securing 1 job that offers to apply H1B is as painful as it can be. And my post above was just representing the challenges that an international student faces when they come to study. If you are not aware, well here’s some to chew on: a) It takes a year’s process to apply and land in a university in US b) Finding a job that that sponsors H1B is extremely difficult. In 2016, I applied for 600+ jobs to find 1 or 2 company that sponsors and making sure the field of work was related to my study c) Only 3 chances to get the H1B picked in the lottery if your degree is STEM d) If studying through an education loan then that needs to be repaid after getting a job e) If you don’t get picked in 3 chances and don’t have a company that doesn’t send you to other countries to apply L1 and bring you back, then yeah, off you go! My point was - Keep the lottery separate for H1B applications applying outside of the country and those applying inside the country and potentially increase the caps for both, so these 2 categories aren’t battling with each other.

Unethical practices like multiple applications by Indians or anyone else for that matter has to be seriously looked into and acted upon by USCIS and Department of Homeland security. I agree on increasing the cap for US Educated Qualified and skilled M.S or Phd from 20k from what it is today as opposed to the "general" category of 65K. With Layoffs going hard, its hard to say there aren't many U.S citizens or permanent residents aren't available to do the skilled work. H-1B is a non immigrant visa for a specified time and limits being set the way it is that most are expected to go back home once the skilled work was completed for that duration. The influx of consultancies and outsourcing companies have created so much issues over the years that actual skilled and deserving ones aren't getting their due on H-1.

Something’s you guys have to understand is that; if you have valid job offers/offer letter and the employers are legitimate “employers are not related to each other” then they come under eligible multiple registrations. the registrant, or the organization on whose behalf the registration(s) is being submitted, has not worked with, or agreed to work with, another registrant, petitioner, agent, or other individual or entity to submit a registration to unfairly increase chances of selection for the beneficiary or beneficiaries in this submission. If USCIS finds that this attestation was not true and correct (for example, that a company worked with another entity to submit multiple registrations for the same beneficiary to unfairly increase chances of selection for that beneficiary), USCIS will find that registration to not be properly submitted. That’s from USCIS page!! Just for you guys to understand. Meaning same employer registering via multiple streams is non-eligible.
