Thanks for another fine "honest" review. I own several watches if different brands and price points, but you still can't beat a Casio. You get so much bang for the $$$ and you can't help but feel that regardless the price level Casio wants you to have a quality product. I own a Duro "Marlin " and you really can't beat it....I work on a farm and it will take anything I through at it😁 Thank I will order this model tomorrow.

I had that Marlin or Duro watch and just like you....i dont know what I was thinking when I sold it on Ebay years ago....im so regret that....im officially an idiot for doing that....this SS watch is so cool, im going to give it a try
I just brought this watch, big problem with reading the minute hand. It gets lost at 12.oclock position and at 1/4 past position the date and day, totally hid the hands... Apart from not being able to read it correctly, it is a nice looking watch.. I have complained to casio... They admit its a problem, Reading the hands.... I am having the hand changed this weekend... Will keep you all updated.
@@Barnaby_bo not to well, casio refused to sell spare hands to the watch maker... So it's stuck with the original hands... They are still hopeless to read.
The retailers are robbing us blind here, in the UK. They're shaking us down for the equivalent of $80 for a Duro. I've also noticed that we pay twice what you pay for Seikos too. Unbelievable !!
Hi and thx for all the cool reviews, I initially wanted a solar watch bc I didn't want to deal with battery change again, water got in my last casio, as I made the change myself (got tired of paynig 21$ at the hudson bay store, they don't even guarantee water resistance after their own work.) Now I really like this watch, and i m reconsidering, so do you know if there are proper tools and a proper tutorial for this very watch, since there are 2 batteries, it must be more complicated. Thx

It looks terribly cheap and difficult to read the second hand when on the 6, 9 and 12 position. The lume looks cheap when the back-light is lit up. Maybe I'm unfair, but my tastes have changed. Stepping down from an Omega Seamaster 300 to this is a no go. I was looking for a cheap daily watch, guess I'll have to keep looking.
I bought one from Argos and I don't understand why it's NOWHERE NEAR as bright as the one in this video when illuminated :( Anybody else have a watch with an illuminator not as good as this video?

The bezel bacme bidirectional Cause the tip of the spring bcame pointy which it not sit inside the click treat. To fix that,Cut off then pointy tip of the spring. Put it back inside the bezel. Snap it back to the watch. New strong click again. PS i use the rotating bezel evry time, for fun click only.
It's pretty cool looking but I can't get past equating Casio with cheap. The cheapest watches I own are Victorinox and Invicta. Still, I like this watch so may I will get it because it's really cheap on Amazon right now.
I had the world time illuminator. It was junk. Got less than two years out of it. This looks better, but I'm cautious of Casio as well. My wife got me a Fossil that looks similar to this, and it's held up great.
Literally this is an original casio watch. Not in production now in 2021. BEWARE of fake MTD-1079D. The fake one maybe priced around $25-$30. Original priced around $50-$65.
I can't believe how good this MTD Casio watch is.
I have this particular watch for four months, excellent all rounder with no issues and no bezel back-play whatsoever!! I highly recommend it.
Even 3 years later this Casio is a great watch, I am getting it.
The casio lineup has some really great affordable core pieces, my duro is one of my favorite pieces !
IMHO the best value watch in today's marketplace.

Seiko has used those links for a while, i believe (assuming my seiko has the original band on it)
Just bought the same watch at Walmart for $40 and a black Duro for $13. Walmart just wants their jewelry counter gone. Better for me. Haha!
