I just pulled mine out of a bag. I wore through basic at Paris Island when I joined the Marine corps in the 2007. It was actually a gift from my dad. It’s pretty beat up around the bezel and the glass has some scratches. I’m glad to see this video. It needs a battery and I haven’t worn it in almost 15 years. So, this has inspired me to bring it back to life.
Just got one of these yesterday. Was extremely fortunate to find one on Facebook marketplace. Bought 3 dead Casio watches of which one was a Casio Duro MDV-102 for a total of $15. Put new batteries in, cleaned them up and they all are running nice. Bezel had has a few small scratches as does the crystal, but barely noticeable. Band is in good shape. I'm really liking it. As in the previous post, the illumination is sweet! Enjoyed your video breakdown of this watch.
I’ve never seen this model Duro before! I have 2 x “modern” Duros that I have modded up with sapphire crystals and stainless steel bracelets, milled clasps etc, and this one you have has me very interested ! I love the way the strap is connected to the case. And the illumination is brilliant!
I still have this watch. I purchased it after I had watch the movie Sanctum.. back in 2012 i showered with on and even in the sauna back in the day. These days . Water touches it when I’m washing my hands. One of my favorite go to watch. The last 10min a of the movie shows it being used
It's absolutely insane how premium it looks. I'm not surprised it got discontinued, since it probably cost Casio more to make this one, when compared to the current MDV-106 watch.
I've just bought one from Korea (im GB) , legendary watch Im hoping, Isnagged it for about 200 bucks its in fantastic condition. Ive been hunting for a while.
I have an original MDV-102D-7AV (3304) which is the one with the white dial and stainless bracelet. I've had it for 17-18 years and it's still in perfect working order and I wear it regularly. It's in great condition and the only thing I've ever nedded to do with it is change the battery. It's still as good as the day I got it, love that watch. 👌
I've had one of these babies for 10 or so years.. still looks almost mint.. I always thought it was too big for me but it is brilliant! My original strap is still great too.. Thanks for covering it! Frank in Colorado
Thanks! My battery seems to last me 3 to 5 years.. but, I really don't use the light all that often even though I want to use it all the time!! Best to you! Frank in Colorado
My local watchseller have this one for sale almost 10 years now. The price is $170. It's self explanatory. I mean you can't expect the price to be same in 10 years. But many watchsalers in my country think the opposite way.
Youve highlighted the flaws on this watch very early! I don't think I would go out of my way and spend extra money on something like this no matter how good it looks!
Yeah those swooping lines around the case and strap are very early 2000's I don't understand Casio's choice of calling illuminator to both their LED and Electroluminescence technology
@@threehandhunter Didn't hear him complain about it, so I guess it's acceptable 😊 I have been looking for one, but like you said, they are not easily attainable, unfortunately. It would be great if Casio could rehash this model.
Thanks, John. I appreciate the feedback. I really have zero camera skills, this has been my first time with a camera. But, I am working on it! Glad you enjoyed and thanks for watching!
Found one in a pawn shop, mint condition, had a dead original battery, which has been replaced, works great.
Great find, treasure hunter!!

Shit…when I went through basic in San Diego back in 1990 we got to wear no watch!! I’d cherish that Casio, Devil Dog!!

Had one of these as a work watch, it got destroyed because of my job , it did take a hell of a beating tho, casio really should bring it back
I second that! Maybe with a solar cell for the illuminator light too! Hell of a watch
I have that same NATO on a Casio MTD-1053 dive watch. Really great watch and strap.
Great taste my friend! 👍

My brother in Christ he's doing a review, not selling you the watch

Very early 2000's! I definitely don't understand Casio, or Seiko (or Orient) for that matter haha
My brother has one from way back then :)
Very cool! How did the battery hold up for him?

Dang! That looks a little like the Omega X-33 Astronauts wear.
You know…it does! 👍
Good review, yes Chris best you to the draw on this one bud. You may need to work on your Macro shots a little. I enjoyed it though.
