But fortunately she pulled herself together and is singing for us again. And that she is not slender and girlish - well, time flies and spares no one. Fortunately, she has a beautiful voice and doesn't get plastic surgery. :)

So cool listening to her interview! I can’t get enough of Basia! From 1980’s through 2024! Give us more Basia! Her talent completely blows away singers of that time, as well as today! Her vocal range is amazing, the harmonies so tightly woven into her music, and even her phrasing of lyrics is refreshing and unexpected! I wish she toured more of the USA than she’s done lately.
What I love in live performances of Basia is that all musicians performing with her really enjoy the music the perform. It is the best delight for me to hear the music and watch their joy.

just came across Basia recently by listening old vinyls, "Matt Bianco -Just a minute -" and now I find the whole world of her here. She is such an impressive singer and nice person. I am glad I have found her and that she is back and still has a great voice and became a fan of her.
I was born in 1998 but when I listened to the old cd in our home I am inloved with her voice 😊😍.. I thought at first the beat is created by electronic only. I am surprised that it was made by real instruments 😍.. Her voice is naturally fantastic I thought it was autotune but it's not 😊

I love her! She never disappoints when she sings live too, and I love her Polish/British accent, very unique, after all she did learn to speak English in England, so it does make perfect sense. I was working as a bellman at a hotel working my way through college, when one day I heard the lounge piano player playing a song I recognized but didn’t know. I went and asked them what it was and they replied that it was the Astrud Gilberto song ‘A Girl from Ipanema’. After work that day or the next I swung by the record store and asked where Astrud Gilberto would be. They replied “under Jazz” so I went looking. I found a compilation of Bossa Nova songs a while later and went back to the counter to pay for it. At that moment, the clerk was opening a new CD from an artist I’d never heard of - it was YOU, Basia. I asked to see the CD case and when I was holding it, I flipped it over and scanned the track titles. And what should I see, but a track titled ‘Astrud’. I thought: “this CAN’T be a coincidence”. So I asked him to play that specific track instead of starting at track 1. He obliged and that song was the first time I ever heard you, doing a take off of The Girl From Ipanema (your and Danny White’s version was an awesome rendition), while I was there to find that exact song by Astrud Gilberto and Antonio Carlos Jobim. I immediately bought your CD and followed your career ever since, including your live concert I mentioned in the original comment years ago. It was destiny that I should discover you, clearly…. I was not at all surprised that you covered another Bossa Nova (which I became a huge fan of) classic, The Waters of March, as clearly you have excellent taste in music, too!

I still remember this vividly. I will never forget thinking that it was the most beautiful and Unusual Song!!! WHO could have ever have heard anything like this??? The Song and her voice, then her beauty took my breath away!!! And still does to this day, 8.11.2020. My dying wish is to see she and Danny live! I doubt this will happen, but I can dream!

I was at my wife's company picnic and the DJ started playing this song so I asked him, "Who _is_ this artist?" By the end of that month I had all of Basia's albums on cassette (later CDs). Remembering this now is a bittersweet memory. My wife passed away less than six years later in June of 2002 from cancer. When I listen to Basia now I think about my wife.
