No Artist - Christmas Nativity Play (Sunderland)

Michael Barton's interviews with children from around the UK and Northern Ireland. These conversations were recorded between 1961 and 1968 and capture as close to natural conversation between adult and child.
This was first produced as a short series of 'Children Talking for BBC North Region radio, and later for BBC Radio 4.
Some hated it, and dismissing it as trivial nonsense; others-educational bodies among them-demand copies of the programmes as an example of "unaffected communication with children'.
It has been sampled a number of times, including Aphex Twin and Jarvis Cocker.
