What a brilliant interview, I’ve always found Dr Julie’s feels so helpful, the metaphors she uses are utterly brilliant and simple. And even got my wife into following her too, so it’s lovely to hear such a down to earth interview. The real Dr Julie behind the social media and brand too. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻

Really appreciate for all tips and pieces of advice Dr. Julie has imparted. One time encountering her books, it just gave me a hunch to invest on it value since this should be my life guidebook within my reach.
I feel heard and understood whenever she puts an emphasis on giving yourself enough time to notice and make adjustment while not conveying any harsh suggestions to beat one down in the face of tough moments.

Quality therapy is not available for so many of us who might benefit from it. I appreciate any resources which help us navigate life and acknowledge that we have the ability to heal even if we are not priveledged enough to 'have a therapist'.

What a fantastic and insightful conversation! I really appreciated hearing Dr. Julie's wisdom and experience around managing stress, anxiety, overthinking, and burnout.
The discussion on mindfulness and living in the present moment was so helpful - I loved the analogy of it being like "going to the gym for your mind." Building that mental muscle of noticing your thoughts and then choosing where to place your attention is such an empowering skill.
I also found the tips on self-soothing, balancing your values, and treating work like a marathon to be extremely useful. The idea of having an "ideal day" or "ideal week" calendar to aim towards, while being flexible, is genius.
Dr. Julie seems like such a warm, genuine person who truly cares about helping others. I'm grateful that she shares her knowledge in such an engaging way. Ali did a wonderful job hosting and asking thoughtful questions too.
This was a fantastic reminder to take care of myself and pay attention to the basics like sleep, nutrition, exercise and connection. Thank you both! Looking forward to the next episode.

I manage stress and anxiety with exercise, eating healthy and also stopping for a while and having a break. I also use Dihexa from Swisschems as it further helps me concentrate and improve my mood. I take dihexa about half an hour before I start my day. I also take deep breaths and count to 10 when I'm feeling overwhelmed. Finally, I focus on the present moment and take one step at a time.

Fantastic video. The text highlighting animation is good, but a little too quick. It would be easier to refocus your visual attention to the beginning of the text if the animation was quicker, because you wouldn't feel like you have to till animation to ends before beginning to read it. It's especially true if you're reading the sentence with a more distributed focus where you glance at the whole sentence to process it, rather than if you read from left to right ~word by word. It's not that it's impossible to read mid animation, but obviously, it's easier once the animation is complete, which means the quicker it's completed, the sooner you can start to easily read it. And that means there's no potential for worrying about not being able to finish reading the sentence before it disappears. I hope that jumbled mess makes sense haha.
