Super helpful and clever! Thanks! I wouldn’t have thought to pick and choose components to make it work for my lid!

I tried that method to remove the originalnut/bolt and stripped the phillipsindentation on the bolt head

5:13 For what it's worth: I think you should have used the base plate. I agree with liking the look. The plastic base spreads out the stress on the glass and will reduce the chances of the glass breaking if you push down on the handle when grabbing it.

4:40 About matching a bolt: The hardware isle at Home Depot has a display form. It has bolts for all sizes (metric and imperial) as well as matching nuts so you can find what you need.
(I do not work for Home Depot. How I know this is because I've spent a lot of money in that isle from tinkering. If I could I'd just buy stock in that isle and I'd be rich beyond my wildest dreams :p)

you're a genius but a crock pot and and a crock pot lid are 2 different things. So it would be even more helpful if you corrected the tittle of your video although you got it right in the explanation of this video. Yes it's quite a waste of time when you play the video that has nothing to do with a crock pot handles as you explained but to late.

I had to use pliers on the head to unscrew it. This is after I “boogered” the screw up with the screwdriver

Way too long of an explanation...plus it isn't a crock pot handle that you installed. And you sound like Mr. Rogers...lmao.
