      Right!!! And it shouldn't be taken personally. At the end of the day, you've got to be satisfied with knowing you've tried every avenue you could in a journey so vitally important as having a child. Success is the goal but at least you can say I have no regrets, no should'ves could'ves, if it still didn't work out....

      @@LC-lf8se I don’t mind sharing. Almost 5 years ago I had a hysterectomy. At that time my doctor removed the cyst off my ovary. Looking back I’m not sure why a doctor didn’t remove the cyst when I had a fallopian tube removed. Maybe he was afraid he would damage my ovary at the time.

    • @zairabandy8695
      @zairabandy8695 Год назад +2

      shouldn't we want the MEN doctor to become better doctors too??? the men doctors aren't going away and they get to take care of many women, so shouldn't they become better at their job so their patient feel good with them?

    • @jessbeautiful1
      @jessbeautiful1 Год назад +5

      @@zairabandy8695 yes, but I think this is still missing the mark. I’m a physician myself (anesthesiologist so I work with lots of OBs). And sadly, there was a joke in Med school about male OBGYNs - it was said that men who didn’t get into surgery, went into OBGYN. (And even moreso for gyn-oncology and REIs - as an ego thing). Ok, I know that’s a very tasteless joke but that’s literally what people said. Yes, of course many men care about women’s issues, but I do unfortunately think more men get props as OBs vs women just for existing lol and people down play the importance of women OBs. Yes of course we both want them to be equally good, but the stats I know about most REIs being men, I think there is an equity issue and should be some more advocacy for women REIs. Because in medicine, men are automatically assumed to be competent physicians and women are not. Especially in a specialty where the perspective of women physicians can be very important.

    The boat analogy wow! We really do delay ourselves with these weird expectations of how and when we expect God to show up for us, how and when we expect God to bless us and grow that it blinds us to what He’s actually doing. His ways and thoughts are above ours always 🙌🏾🥺

    I totally resonate with your boat story. My hubby and I were married 4 years with no babies in sight. We prayed and prayed and prayed. For years. One day a coworker texted me and asked if I wanted to adopt her granddaughter. Boat! It wasn't what we thought our story would be, and my hubby was very resistant. I told him you don't ask God for a baby year after year and then when he hand delivers one to your life say no thanks God. I'm SO glad we got on the boat! God knows what he's doing!

    I had the HSG test after YEARS of never getting pregnant, but definitely trying. I had an ectopic pregnancy about 8 years prior to my test that caused an emergency surgery and the loss of the pregnancy and a fallopian tube. During my hsg appointment I experienced everything Adrienne said. At the end of my appointment, the doctor said my surviving fallopian had the fimbriae end closed and the dye pushed through and opened it. I am so grateful for my team of doctors. They really took care of me. Dr. Cooper delivered all 3 of my children. I got pregnant the month after this test, the next year and 3 years after that! I hope Adrienne’s story encourages anyone struggling with fertility ❤❤️

    Adrienne and Isreal, I am not someone who typically comments, but I have always been a silent supporter of your family - usually watching in awe of the abundance of love and joy that can be seen, even in the bits and pieces you feel comfortable sharing with us. As my husband and I are on a similar journey, watching this series has been very healing for me after so much loss. At times, I relate so much that I cry with you. Others, I smile and choose to be inspired by the hope you've had on your own journey to your happily Ever after. I am inspired by your faith. I am inspired by your resilience. Not only did I almost give up on my relationship with God, I almost gave up on life. I aim to be as vibrant and graceful as you both moving forward, come what may on my path to fulfilling the Lord's purpose for me. I look forward to the day I can emulate the kind of love your family embodies with my own children. Thank you for sharing.

    Thank you for this it’s absolutely magical, your vulnerability is truly beautiful…. ONE THING I have to mention that I’ve noticed in this series or just in general is that Adrienne whenever she has (not a moment of weakness) but rather a sentimental moment of sadness or pain, she sticks her hand out to Israel and his response in comforting her to be her source of strength in that moment truly defines what I see to be a wonderful union between you two. It’s that submission to one another and I just have to say Amen to that! ❤

I'm so glad that they were referred to a Dr that was able to find that and the chromosome issue. It's so sweet to see how Adrienne and Israel interact with one another. The letter that Adrienne and Israel wrote to the surrogate almost took me out. I rewinded that part about four times, literally! Tears with a heavy heart I had to the Kleenex. Wishful thinking once your home recording studio gets done. I would like to be apart of putting your pain/feeling into song form. Sending you both abundance of joy and hugs! ~K. ❤ #lovealwaysadrienne #israelhoughton #adriennebailonhoughton #tears #purelove #surrogate #pregnancy #keithcurl #familia

    I love every episode… These are so informative and so real. No one talks about surrogacy in this detail or the process it takes to get there or the details of this hard journey. Thank you both for sharing.. this is an incredible calling you both might not even realize you have in helping others not only understand the realness of fertility issues but also the journey it is to get to the surrogacy point.. I think ignorantly people think it’s so easy if the finances are right. And that is so wrong. It’s a delicate beautiful hard thing to do and trust and I’m so grateful you’re both sharing so much of your story for us to learn, grow & understand the journey. Can’t wait for the next one… ♥️

    Your journey ministers to me. My wife & I make 10 yrs this year. But for the 1st 5-6 yrs we were trying and trying. No preventing anything and NOTHING. Hope started dwindling and giving up starting to sit in. Seeing are siblings at the same time starting to have kids, yes we were happy for them, but also inside we’re like “damm God, what about us???!”….. it was tough. We also didn’t have the finances to do all these big treatments, no real insurance just Medicaid….. it was a very dark time. Everybody told us try not to think about it…stress about it because that doesn’t help. But 1 day at church a guest preacher, who doesn’t know us from left or right prayed for my wife and told her to look up this Bible verse
    “1 Samuel 1:11
    And she made a vow, saying, "LORD Almighty, if you will only look on your servant's misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the LoRD for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head."
    After service, my wife looks for it by herself and calls me from the back, and we cried together. All we had was HOPE.
    My wife started going to a nutritionist. She just focused on just feeling better about herself and start eating healthy. After losing 20-30 pounds with her nutritionist’s diet plan, and 6 years married we finally get pregnant.
    Whats crazy is, the # 6 biblically means completion. And 7 yrs = Rest. In 2020 our daughter was born and she just turned 3 a week ago.
    Thank you for sharing your journey because it made me reminisce on how blessed we are, and how good God is. 🙏

    You might never see this comment, but wow, I have NEVER related to someone I have never meet. I found out I had turners mosaic (over 90% of my chromosome was there!) when I was young due to my short height (lol). When I asked about my fertility, they asked if I had my period and if I had gone through puberty, and that was that. My sister also had two girls.. no issues, so easily.. my mom did too, had 4 children with NO issues. I'm Latina TOOO and I would laugh and say, look at the women in my family, we're Latina, no fertility issues here! My career led me to a fertility clinic where I checked my fertility for fun, expecting nothing wrong, and found out I also had a a low ovarian reserve. I decided to freeze my eggs and got 7 on my first try :) ... going back again soon. It's crazy to think someone I followed and admired since I was young also got that similar news by doctors. Thank you for sharing and I am so glad you finally got your beautiful baby

    What a story! I'm still stuck on your baby's name, only cause that's my husband's name, hence the name of our little channel. How he got his name is his mom saw the name Eber in the bible, and wanted to name her son Eber. But when she gave birth she didn't fill out the forms herself. A nurse filled it out and since my husband's mom only spoke Spanish, when she said Eber, the nurse heard Ever. And she wrote it that way. And that's how he got his name, Ever😊. He was picked on as a kid, people saying "Ever forever." But now he loves his name.
