We took our first International trip to Vietnam in the month of October from New Delhi to Hanoi. Being a low-cost airline offering very cheap flight tickets, we just went ahead and booked it. This was our first-ever experience with Vietjet.

Is it safe to book tickets through website of vietjet…..?? Is there any issue with payment gateway
Hey, even we had faced some issues with the payment while booking from the website. Hence, we booked it via Agoda.

Hey, thank you so much!! So in the economy class, you'll only get 7 Kg cabin luggage, which will be included in your ticket price. This is unless you buy the ticket with 20 kg check-in.
What you can do is, check their price on their website vs Agoda.
The check-in baggage is additional and better to buy it off when you're booking. Because, on-ground the prices will differ.

1. I booked eco ticket with 20KG check in luggage. Is there any specific size for 20KG luggage?
2. Can I carry trolley cabin bag within 7KG or only Backpack? Is there any size specifications?

1. It has to do more with the weight than the size of the luggage.
2. We didn't see any size specifications but better to maintain the cabin baggage within 7kgs. Unlike some airlines, they will charge even if you have one kg extra.
How did you upgrade to skyboss and how much did it cost? I do not see any options on the website. It will be helpful if you could let me know. Thank you!
Hey buddy, so we had booked our tickets 45 days prior to the departure date. Skyboss tickets get sold out very quickly.
So we did the following:
1. We booked the economy tickets; which was way cheaper even after buying additional 15kg of luggage for both of us (to & fro)
2. We upgraded only our 'SEATS' to Skyboss as we wanted better leg room. We did that post booking our economy tickets. It was around ₹800/PP one-way when we visited.

Hey, we had initially booked the ticket from Agoda because we faced some technical issues with payment from their website. After that we had upgraded our seats only from the Vietjet website.

It might be a backend issue. During the first time, we had also faced a similar issue. We tried a few times and it was done.
Hy guys. just checking how much did you pay to get upgraded to Skyboss? I heard 800 bucks - is it INR? I anticipate that you reached early and get hold on check-in staff requesting a promotional upgrade (to Skyboss/higher). Is that true or did you receive an email from Vietjet about the Skyboss availability as Singapore and other Airlines send it based on the customer profiles.
Hey, yes!! It was around that in Rs. We didn't upgrade it on-ground but upgraded the seats online after booking our tickets.
When we visited Vietnam via Vietjet, there were already a lot of promotions being done by the airline. The challenge for us was we didn't get any Skyboss tickets as it was showing sold out even 2-3 months before departure. Hence, we booked the economy tickets and just upgraded the seats.

We had booked the seats from the official website only. You'll need to go to 'Manage Bookings' and follow the process.

I also paid additional 20 KG baggage for check in. My confusion is if this additional weight will be added in the 2 bags that are allowed or does it permit us to carry another bag of 20 kg? Would really appreciate your help!

The additional 20kgs are over and over the standard baggage allowance that you would have received with your ticket.
Hey bro , I am planning a trip with my family , if you could explain what is the group 1 and group 2 funda while booking on vietjet website which is regarding the luggage capacity .
Also if you booked eco class, and upgraded to skyboss ( the 2nd highest option ) it costed on 800rs ? whereas on the website the price is almost 5 times higher ( eco being 10K , skyboss being 45K).

Hey buddy, so what we had done is, we booked the eco ticket but only upgraded our seats. The first five rows are skyboss seats. If you do that, you will not get the benefits of Skyboss but only upgraded seats.
As far as the group 1 & 2 will have quite a lot of things included but majorly for Skyboss Business, Skyboss and Deluxe for eg: extra baggage, meals among few others.
You can view the benefits of each seat on their website. After putting the dates of departure, the next page will show you the price of the tickets..there is a hyperlink 'View Fare Rules,' in the left bottom corner. All has been mentioned there. 😊

Hi I booked my ticket through easemytrip. Not able to see any booking id on vietjet website even after easemytrip saying tickets are confirmed and are asking us to web check in at the counter on the day of our flight. Not able to select our seats. Any help on that ?
Hey, since you have booked it via aggregator, it will be visible there. We had booked it via Agoda first and weren't able to check the status at the Vietjet website.
I guess there was some technical issue then. With the PNR you should be able to access it.

So "budget" that Vietjet hasn't got money to pay for the leasing costs of their fleet since 2021. The owner FW Aviation has now take possession of the jets to sell or lease to other customers. Vietjet now says that FW Aviation owns the jets but can't take them out of Vietnam. A court in the UK has order Vietjet to stop interfering with FW Aviation taking the jets out of Vietnam. If this is Vietjet way of doing business it might as well shut down the airlines and let everybody go home. Who is going to do business with Vietjet or any airlines in Vietnam?

Hey buddy, we had traveled from Delhi to Vietnam to return. Fortunately, we didn't face any issues...take off and landing was on time. Since yours is a longer flight, opt for better seats than economy.

You can but the charges might vary.

Hey, most Welcome Buddy! Yes, there are mixed reviews about Vietjet. We had travelled from New Delhi and thankfully didn’t face any issues. We also met a few people from Ahmedabad during our visit and even they didn’t face anything that time. We have also heard stories about them cancelling but those were only few instances. Otherwise, yes it’s safe to travel.

Hey, during the time we travelled, we upgraded our seats for Rs. 1800/seat.
Recently travelled with vietjet to bali. Very bad service, flight got delayed both the time by 7-8 hours without any proper update, seats are not comfortable, no charging ports in the flight, Even they charges for water( 300 rupees for a 300 ml bottle). Not going to travel with this airline in future.

Hey, you'll need to check for a 6 digit reference no. It will be mentioned in the e-ticket. Post that go to 'My bookings' on their website and follow the seat selection process. The first 5 rows are skyboss seats. You should be able to book that if available.
Just want to confirm its showing luxury seats . Is it sky boss? And how much weight for baggage we can carry ? Checkin or carryon baggage? There no mention of skyboss or weight we can carry?

So the thing is, when you upgrade your seats, you won't get the same benefits of buying a Skyboss ticket. The baggage weights will remain the same as mentioned for eco-tickets.

Hey, this is something even we had faced. But after a couple of attempts it was done. We assume it is a back-end problem.
Do check if international translations are allowed with your card.
