This is how you do a legit guitar demonstration .. no talking or filler gaps explaining everything detail.. Just the song played throgh entirely and chord charts.. Keep posting.
This is a really good lesson. The chord choices and voicings used in this are so much more colorful (yet true to the original) than the others I've seen.
One, two One, two, three, ow Wake up, kids We got the dreamers disease Age fourteen, they got you down on your knees So polite, we're busy still saying please Frienemies, who when you're down ain't your friend Every night we smash a Mercedes-Benz First we run, and then we laugh 'til we cry But when the night is falling You cannot find the light (light) You feel your dreams are dying Hold tight You've got the music in you Don't let go You've got the music in you One dance left This world is gonna pull through Don't give up You've got a reason to live Can't forget We only get what we give I'm comin' home, baby You're tops Give it to me now 4 AM, we ran a miracle mile We're flat broke But hey, we do it in style The bad rich God's flying in for your trial But when the night is falling You cannot find a friend (friend) You feel your tree is breaking Just bend You've got the music in you Don't let go You've got the music in you One dance left This world is gonna pull through Don't give up You've got a reason to live Can't forget We only get what we give This whole damn world could fall apart You'll be okay, follow your heart You're in harm's way, I'm right behind Now say you're mine You've got the music in you Don't let go You've got the music in you One dance left This world is gonna pull through Don't give up You've got a reason to live Can't forget We only get what we give Don't let go I feel the music in you Don't let go Fly high, high What's real can't die You only get what you give You're gonna get what you give Don't give up Just don't be afraid to leave Health insurance, rip off lying FDA, big bankers buying Fake computer crashes dining Cloning while they're multiplying Fashion shoots with Beck and Hanson Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson You're all fakes Run to your mansions Come around, we'll kick your asses Don't let go One dance left Don't give up Can't forget Don't let go
Wow this one rocks! Such a great feel good song but also your chords/ arrangement sound so full bodied and fun to play. Can't wait to try this one out, cheers!
Awesome! That’s one of those tunes that no matter what style of music you prefer/like, it’s impossible to not smile and feel good listening to it. That song has magic on it. So happy to see you posting regularly again and this along with Still Remains the other day, you’re killing it man! Thanks for sharing your talent with us!
What a great acoustic rendition. Thank you - I have been looking for a website like this, all my life; well, all my digital life. (Oops, digital life; there’s an oxymoron for you). Have a great day. Tony from Battersea
Can someone answer one question? I start learning music and if the song is in D major, why there is C major at 0:16. is there any Chord in D that can substitute it?
Hi, it's a C Major 7. I'm not a studied musician, but short answer: Songwriting doesn't have to follow rules. You can put any chords in a sequence if it pleases your taste and supports your idea. Hope this makes sense 🙂.

This tune requires serious chops!!
One, two
One, two, three, ow
Wake up, kids
We got the dreamers disease
Age fourteen, they got you down on your knees
So polite, we're busy still saying please
Frienemies, who when you're down ain't your friend
Every night we smash a Mercedes-Benz
First we run, and then we laugh 'til we cry
But when the night is falling
You cannot find the light (light)
You feel your dreams are dying
Hold tight
You've got the music in you
Don't let go
You've got the music in you
One dance left
This world is gonna pull through
Don't give up
You've got a reason to live
Can't forget
We only get what we give
I'm comin' home, baby
You're tops
Give it to me now
4 AM, we ran a miracle mile
We're flat broke
But hey, we do it in style
The bad rich
God's flying in for your trial
But when the night is falling
You cannot find a friend (friend)
You feel your tree is breaking
Just bend
You've got the music in you
Don't let go
You've got the music in you
One dance left
This world is gonna pull through
Don't give up
You've got a reason to live
Can't forget
We only get what we give
This whole damn world could fall apart
You'll be okay, follow your heart
You're in harm's way, I'm right behind
Now say you're mine
You've got the music in you
Don't let go
You've got the music in you
One dance left
This world is gonna pull through
Don't give up
You've got a reason to live
Can't forget
We only get what we give
Don't let go
I feel the music in you
Don't let go
Fly high, high
What's real can't die
You only get what you give
You're gonna get what you give
Don't give up
Just don't be afraid to leave
Health insurance, rip off lying
FDA, big bankers buying
Fake computer crashes dining
Cloning while they're multiplying
Fashion shoots with Beck and Hanson
Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson
You're all fakes
Run to your mansions
Come around, we'll kick your asses
Don't let go
One dance left
Don't give up
Can't forget
Don't let go

Nice. Joni Mitchell noted it (at the time) as a new song that had her enthused.
Just guitar and voice give like a bittersweet effect, pretty cool
Absolutely wonderful!
Bravo! And thanks.
I arrived at some similar voicings especially the first two but will absolutely put to use some of the others! We done.

@@hitsonacousticguitar thanks, maybe I'm too strict about rules. 😅
Does "mj7" mean Major 7.. The lower case m makes you think of a minor chord
"Does "mj7" mean Major 7" - Yes
