- LADY MOLLY OF SCOTLAND YARD: The Murder at Mathis Cafe
A Radio Play
by Julia Fisher
Adapted from the 1910 story by Emma Orczy
A man poisoned by hot chocolate. A unidentified woman in a large hat. A judgemental aunt. Two gossiping servants. A stunning foreign woman with a not-so-secret grudge. All ingredients for a mystery that only Lady Molly and Mary Granard can solve.
Lady Molly is perhaps the most brilliant detective mind of the early 1900s; but the “lads” of Scotland Yard have a hard time accepting that. After cracking the seemingly unsolvable case of the murder at Ninescore , she and her Watson-esque partner Mary Granard are placed in charge of a headline-making London murder.

I stumbled across this play, as one does while desperately searching RUclips for something that isn't foolish or disturbing. A very entertaining play and nicely written. As a rather elderly Englishman I find your accents are quite passable! Well done 👍
Enjoying the upload. Thank you. 😊
Oh, lovely! Full cast radio play really outmatches the `even too lazy to add background music´ kinda audiobooks. Thanks. 🤩
This popped up in my suggested videos, I am SO glad it did!!
Brilliant. Thank you!
This is such an excellent find. Have you any other Lady Molly? 📻
The find of ANYTHING of Lady Molly is rare and delightful. 🌷
The Ohio players are ALSO a great treat. How would one support your spot? 📻 And might your group consider any Tommy and Tuppance by Agatha Christie? There are 5 books of these 📕 characters written just prior to her passing.
Thank you again. 🌹

Agatha Christie is not in the public domain, so we couldn't adapt it :) But we love her stuff!! You can learn more about us and support us at www.ohioshakespeare.com
@@ohioshakes Oh, offending misbehavior in your mini-clips fame phishing is OK, but then all legal on copyrights & trademarks? Cute. 🤣
I hope now if the quarantine is almost over you will not be these are wonderful shows and I don't want you to stop no I'm not making any threats but if you do go off the air strange things could happen just kidding love what you're doing
Absolutely! We have many more already done. Check out our youtube page! And we will begin producing more again in the Fall of 2021
Loving the Lady Molly radio plays!
No background music. Great
great
Ham acting. Dire.
In the first 4 min did the Mary intimate that she wants a deeper physical relationship with Lady Molly??
Did I hear that correct? M
It absolutely sounded that way to me, too.
More than friends?? What is she talking about?
This is very well done. But may I respectfully suggest that your future productions NOT do pieces requiring "british" accents. Accurate British accents are beyond the scope of your cast
I really do not know of a realy English butler that would talk as much and so freely as He has, at about 10min or 13min in. M. Ill
Mid-westerners trying to sound English. Hmm... The idea of radio plays newly produced is wonderful though.
English actors trying to sound American . With a few exceptions : even worse !! ! ( and I'm British ! )
Dreadful accents. LADY MARLEY! Quite comedic to listen to until it starts to grate.
Some of the worst acting I've ever listened to . Why do they put us through it?
ha-ha...this is hilarious! The acting is so bad it is laughable and the accents are even funnier. Listen to this only if you are feeling low and need a good laugh. For the people that say they enjoyed this listen to the BBC plays and hear real acting.
Positive things zpzpppzppz.
Ok story
But imo the acting is rather wooden
A lesson in dreadful acting; appalling script and dreadful direction ….. so bad.
Woman of color. What race was she?
Terrible voice acting 😢
