New York Atlantic Railway freight trains compilation of 2019

Hello RUclips world, this is my New York Atlantic Railway freight trains of the year 2019. Most of my catches were taken at Mineola because at the time it was one of my favorite spots to fan at until the third track project got involved. But anyways hope you enjoy!

Thanks for the post. It was a funny idea when I was told there was a "short-line" on Long Island. I knew about the commuter stuff but only recently found out that freight was still running. Thanks from Cincinnati for taking the time to make and post a video.

These Freights aren't as long as let's say the CSX, NORFOLK & SOUTHERN, UNION PACIFIC, CANADIAN PACIFIC AND CANADIAN NATIONAL to just name some railroads.

1:21:16 I never saw that gray and white diesel pulling backwards after the leading diesel locomotive on the Long Island Freight train before, not only that I see the background surroundings, view or hear that different diesel locomotive horn

1:21:19 I never saw the caboose after these two diesel locomotives before, not only that I fully know that it is a Brakevan, but no cabooses on each freight train at the Long Island Railroad in New York

So 2 questions. 1 how do these signals work because they don't seem to turn to red once the train passes under them and they just stay yellow and 2 do trains actually run downtown in New York City?
