EmmaCross94 But.... you still have to wait for the bottle fill up the glass. Wouldn't it still be quicker if you drink it straight from the bottle? o-O

+Meek Mill that doesn't mean the card is not getting bottlenecked, try to monitor CPU usage, if it caps at 100% while gaming you probably have an huge ass bottleneck
Learned that the hard way recently, I had ooold desktop with Core2Quad Q6600 2,4ghz overclocked to 3,5ghz, 5gb DDR2 667mhz ram and GTX 560 (non-Ti) and I upgraded the 560 to GTX 1050Ti and depending on the game some games didn't improve in any way shape or form like for example Guild Wars 2 doesn't go beyond 50fps regardless of settings and same thing happened with GTX 560 actually but some games heavily benefitted from that, for example DOOM was unplayable with 560 at like 20-30fps on low settings but with 1050Ti it runs at 50-70fps on Ultra (note - my resolution is 1280x1024, no miracles here, I just have old monitor). Now, I am a poor guy, I don't have the money to really buy latest good tech, so to upgrade the guts to reduce that bottleneck I have ordered (all used except RAM, 1050Ti was used too) Asrock Extreme3 X79 motherboard (LGA2011 is a dead platform, I know, but still it had some good processors that are VERY cheap now), 2 x 4gb G.Skill Sniper 1600mhz CL9 DDR3 RAM and I ran out of money for the processor BUT...for a placeholder CPU I ordered Xeon E5 2640 (Hyperthreaded 6-core, 2,5ghz->3ghzTURBO) for 20$ and it should still be a big improvement over Q6600 considering it's got twice better single core performance, two more core and Hyperthreading. I'm planning to replace that Xeon soon-ish probably with i7 3930K and overclock it and buy two more of those RAM sticks for quad-channel and I hope it's gonna be good enough for a few years, out of all those things the most expensive part was the motherboard, LGA2011 boards are still ridiculously expensive (at least over here, I'm from Poland). Parts should arrive at wednesday probably, I may make an update comment to this one to tell about improvement if there will be any...and if I'll still remember about this lol.

***** Or simply turn on monitoring and if your GPU is not going 99% and is going like 75-85% while having low FPS like 20-30 means it's a cpu bottleneck... (in rare cases it's unoptimised engine) but that's mainly CPU bottle neck. I know it because i have that issue. Per say playing BF3 most of the times my GPU (gtx 560 ti) is going from 50-90 while my CPU (Q8400 clocked at 3.5 ghz yeah not even that much OCing helps) goes from 87-95%, giving me total of 30-60 fps. It depends on map and where exactly i'm looking (of course vsync is off.)
sermerlin1 I think that's a good place to start but it also depends on the game. If your game only uses 2 cores, it's never going to hit 100% cpu usage anyways.
Eric Lin well yeah but still if a game uses 2 cores and ur gpu is wandering around 50-80% and you're having low fps means your CPU is bottlenecking. If a game uses 2 cores and your gpu is like 99% while having 50-60 fps that's than GPU bottle neck. You can detect it all with a simple monitoring. (unless it's badly optimized tho you know when it's badly optimized when fps drops don't make any sense or when you're having constant fps spikes and very low fps for something that should not have low fps... xD)

Accept Nuckler yes 2008, well found out that modern cpu can aplly in my mother board , so new pc soon and my curent motherboard is an old , Striker II extreme.
Nikos Fender you could get a GTX 750TI. it doesn't need a 6 pin connector (just slot it into your PCIE) but you need to change your power supply (to at least 400W). Your CPU might bottleneck it though.
Ok so here are my specs: i5 6400 (2.7 GHz turbo boost up to 3.3 GHz) NVIDIA GTX 1070 8 GB RAM Should i buy Battlefield 1? Can my PC run it well? All of my components meet the minimum requirements for the game except for the CPU. The minimum requirement for the CPU is i5 6600k, i have the i5 6400. So i'm confused because i really want to buy this game but i also don't wanna break or harm my PC components. Thanks!
Bottlenecking: When a component gets such a high level of constipation that it allahu akbars the performance of your other components until you go do a surgical shit removal.

Is there a rule of thumb? Should we be matching clock speeds? Is there a ratio, memory ratio? It's all well and good telling us they exist but what affects them most? I would hate to buy a gtx1060 when the CPU I'm using would be better paired with a gtx1050. That would be a waste of money, having equipment that isn't performing anywhere near at it's best.
this was a helpful video, as it confirmed my past research correctly, i just recently built my first pc about 5 days ago. threw in a amd fx 4300 x4core unlock cpu, paired with a asus 750ti oc 2gb gpu and 8ram 1600mhz but i already want more and will be investing either in the 6300 or the 8350 amd cpu's by next friday. then get the new gpu. :)

Hi, What do you thing about this components? pcpartpicker.com/list/ Bare in mind please that i dont want to go above the total price shown on the list. Thanks
Linus all of us has seen cpus getting overclocked upto 6 7 8ghz. Can you guys make a video doing same with high end Graphics Cards. Like 1080 Ti @ 5.5 or 6 GHz using liquid Nitrogen.?
Can bottlenecking reduce performance? For example if you have a weak cpu and buy an epic graphics card and bottlenecking occurs, would a weaker graphics card increase the performance? Or have the same one? (Basically you just spend more money for nothing)?
Somebody should make way for apps, games, and even the OS to leverage the power of a GPU upgrade by dynamically calculating the amount of the bottleneck between the old CPU and the GPU upgrade card, and then dedicate a portion of the GPU's resources as a "CPU upgrade" to make up for the bottleneck. This needs to happen..... a decade ago.
ummm actually it only flows slower because there is not enough space for the air to quickly rush in after the liquid spills out. the liquid would go faster because of Bernoulli's principle.
My CPU load is 50 to 71%. My graphic card load is 93%. Should Change my card for 480 GTX1.5GB? It looks like my CPU still have more life to play games. I think this card fit the time era. +KevinPlayzMC oh shit my bad dude😂 I wasn't really thinking
few years late, but dat crx
Case:riotoro CR 1080
Motherboard: Asus prime z270-a
Ram: 2×8gb Kingston 8gb kit ddr4 3200mhz cl16 HyperXpredator series
Cpu: ryzen 7 1700
Gpu: nvdia geforce gtx 1070
Samsung ssd 2tb
I'm gonna get 780TI and use it with a Pentium II. :P
You'll bottleneck... get an intel Julius Caesar series
yeah do that, make sure u have a 300Watt PSU u so u can bottleneck that too
Well I wasted $400 on a rx 480. My cpu is a amd a-8 7600
CPU: Intel Core i7-5820k 3.20Ghz 6 Cores/12 Threads
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 2GB

What do you think? Any bottlenecks?
"This civic" thats a crx bud
i7-4790K and GTX 970?
No bottlenecking
halabala manakana Should be good.
Ryzen 2600X and GTX 1080Ti
@@Stomach_On_Lower_Back i have one to but i think my rx580 is bottlenecking it
i like the way you speak with certain expressions.
So my girlfriend is a bottleneck?
Probably idk
well i have an old quad 2 core with a grx 260 ........... any gpu recomendetions
Nikos Fender old quad 2 core?
Accept Nuckler yes 2008, well found out that modern cpu can aplly in my mother board , so new pc soon and my curent motherboard is an old , Striker II extreme.
Nikos Fender you could get a GTX 750TI. it doesn't need a 6 pin connector (just slot it into your PCIE) but you need to change your power supply (to at least 400W). Your CPU might bottleneck it though.
Dastion well i finally decide to build a new one :P so i will wait til i finish buying the parts
but thank you all very much for the advices
Well... if you can pull out some money from your ass then buy a new pc
correction, water flows faster as its flow gets more narrow. perhaps not as much water flows through, but it does flow faster.
For me my wallet is a bottleneck
Love you daddy I learned something today goodaadamn
Ok so here are my specs:
i5 6400 (2.7 GHz turbo boost up to 3.3 GHz)
NVIDIA GTX 1070
8 GB RAM
Should i buy Battlefield 1? Can my PC run it well? All of my components meet the minimum requirements for the game except for the CPU. The minimum requirement for the CPU is i5 6600k, i have the i5 6400. So i'm confused because i really want to buy this game but i also don't wanna break or harm my PC components. Thanks!
Bottlenecking: When a component gets such a high level of constipation that it allahu akbars the performance of your other components until you go do a surgical shit removal.
lmao
Thats not how that works buddy
Cmbunk ....._......
this legitimately helped more than the vid
Commentator Best comment 2016 nomination.
my body???
anus
Like if you have a giant head the Rest of youre body won't be able to handle it
Just got a 1060. How bad will my performance be when playing games? I used to have a 750 ti. I plan on upgrading cpu and motherboard soon.
Specs:
CPU: AMD FX-6300
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB SSC GAMING
HDD: WD Blue 1TB (2012)
RAM: Adata 1x8GB
MBD: MSI 760GMA-P34(FX) (MS-7641)
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 Mid Tower
WHAT BUILD IS MUCH BETTER AMD OR INTEL ? NEED SUGGESTIONS TRYING TO BUILD A PC WHERE ALL PARTS WOULD NOT GET OLD OR TRASH IN THE NEAR FUTURE
Is there a rule of thumb? Should we be matching clock speeds? Is there a ratio, memory ratio? It's all well and good telling us they exist but what affects them most? I would hate to buy a gtx1060 when the CPU I'm using would be better paired with a gtx1050. That would be a waste of money, having equipment that isn't performing anywhere near at it's best.
will this bottle neck

this was a helpful video, as it confirmed my past research correctly, i just recently built my first pc about 5 days ago. threw in a amd fx 4300 x4core unlock cpu, paired with a asus 750ti oc 2gb gpu and 8ram 1600mhz but i already want more and will be investing either in the 6300 or the 8350 amd cpu's by next friday. then get the new gpu. :)
are these parts compatible
CPU:AMD ATHLON x4-860k
GPU:MSI NVIDIA GTX 960
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS A88XM-PLUS
Will this be okay
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 860K 3.7GHz Quad-Core Processor
GPU:GTX 750 TI
RAM: Crucial 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
+A Helpful Person thank you
Probably not the best place to post this since it is quite an old video but will this bottleneck?
Intel Core i5 7600k (Quad core) @ 3.7GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 4GB VRAM
16GB DDR4 3000 RAM
Is my pc bottlenecking?
Processer:i5 6600K Oced to 4.8 ghz
Gpu:Nvidia 1060 3gb vram
Linus Tech Tips, if I grabbed an R5 2600X, Uv500 m.2 SSD, b350 mobo and 8GB (2x4) of 3k MHz RAM, but I used an existing Asus Geforce GTX 550 ti VGA, other than graphics-wise, is that really a bottleneck?
Hi,
What do you thing about this components? pcpartpicker.com/list/
Bare in mind please that i dont want to go above the total price shown on the list.
Thanks
cpu: i7 7700k gpu: 4gb gtx 1050 ti gigabyte. Does it bottleneck?
Ryzen 5 1600 -GTX 1060 6GB will this be bottled neck?
Gtx 1060 6gb with i3 6100...extreme bottleneck or just small?
nvidia geforce gtx 760, intel i7-4790 3.6ghz, 8gb ram, where if i do would i have a bottleneck?
So you're saying I should get a spoiler for my PC, got it !🤙🏼🤙🏼
Linus all of us has seen cpus getting overclocked upto 6 7 8ghz.
Thanks, learned super fast when most needed
So If I get a gtx 1050 and I use my entry level cpu ram and memory then my pc will run completely shite
That segue is so smooth even back then
Somebody should make way for apps, games, and even the OS to leverage the power of a GPU upgrade by dynamically calculating the amount of the bottleneck between the old CPU and the GPU upgrade card, and then dedicate a portion of the GPU's resources as a "CPU upgrade" to make up for the bottleneck. This needs to happen..... a decade ago.
Is i7 3770k good combo with 1050ti 2gb/4gb?
AMD FX-8370 Octa Core Wraith with AMD Radeon RX 480 MSI Gaming 8GB. Will this bottleneck ?
-i7 4790k
-980 6gb ti sc
-16gb ram
-msi gaming 5 motherboard
-h100i gtx closed water cooling
bottleneck?
No
CPU: 5820K
GPU: Strix gtx 980ti
MOBO: Asus X99-A
RAM: G. Skill 16gb
Will this bottleneck any part? Please answer anyone☺
ummm actually it only flows slower because there is not enough space for the air to quickly rush in after the liquid spills out. the liquid would go faster because of Bernoulli's principle.
My CPU load is 50 to 71%.
My graphic card load is 93%.
Should Change my card for 480 GTX1.5GB? It looks like my CPU still have more life to play games. I think this card fit the time era. What you think guys?
My current system:
Intel Quad Core 2 8200Q 2.33 GHZ
4GB DDR2
EVGA 250 GTS 512MB.
I might convert my system to a Emulator/Home theater PC. I don't want give it away when it serviced me 13 years! I'm mostly using it for Wii, Gamecube, PS2 and classic consoles from below.
Ok thank you. I will buy it. thank you.
Watching this, bottlenecking in 2021, just after upgrading to an i9-10900K and am stuck with a fucking rx 560. You can't get graphics card anywhere right now without paying scalped prices (DO NOT DO).
Hopefully... just hopefully...
Maybe if we wait...
We can get a GODDAMN CARD.
i got a i5-4690k and getting a vega 56 will i get bottleneck?
My i7 2600 was bottlenecking my gtx 980, I upgraded to an i5 3570 and now its not bottlenecking it
So is the Ryzen Threadripper 1920x being bottlenecked with a GTX 1080?
GTX 1080 Ti and a i5 3570k @ 4.6 ghz... It's all good here, nothing I can't play. VR simulation can be a bit demanding though. Waiting for the new Ryzen 3000 series for an upgrade... Sad to hear they arent quite ready yet :(
I am going to edit video editing. I will be editing Indian wedding videos of 2 hours long (final clip length). I am currently checking different video editing softwares for the purpose.
My current system is:
FX 8320e
DDR3 1866 MHz RAM 16 GB
GT 730 2 GB VRAM
I may be using Premiere Pro CC, Cyberlink PowerDirector or Magix Movie Edit Pro. Video - Full HD.
I came across cpu-gpu bottlenecking in games. Does it occurs in video editing/rendering also?
i recently purchased a gtx 750 ti and im worried that there is gonna be alot of bottlenecking
CPU: i5-3330S 2.750 Ghz
GPU: GTX 750 Ti
MEM: 8gb ddr3
The cpu is a bit worrying. Definitely don't try Cities:Skylines. The best way to find out is just to play some games.
the i5 can handle an gtx 1060 easy
