Thanks,it is a fun product. What I have difficulty with when reviewing something like this is some misinterpretation that I am reviewing it as a 2 channel replacement. Sure it could be depending on the person/space/budget but really I think it excels as a music solution for the extra spaces. It’s like the good budget gear for example, not the solution for all but in certain situations really awesome.
The rack is actually just a budget solution from Wayfair, it looks decent enough and has a good amount of storage. I may build something in the future but this works for now. www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/hokku-designs-record-storage-stand-black-w100440744.html?piid=1836777500
hi. Aiyama A7 PRO - there are 5 operational amplifiers in it, I couldn't find any information anywhere about which operational amplifier is responsible for what - is there such information? I ordered two OPA 2211 for this amplifier, I just need to decide which of the 5 standard ones to replace with OPA 2211
Looking forward to the sound panel review. Do you plan on taking before and after measurements? I plan on putting up slats on the front wall also, and also doing "something" with the rear wall but also want to put some numbers to it since once its done its done. I'm thinking RT60 with REW but I'm not sure what else.
Here's one you can try... it's a bit less scientific than RT60 or Spectrograms, but it can be very telling... Get one of the dog training Clickers ... the ones that go SNAP when you press them. Listen to what happens after you snap it. If there's an echo in the room, this will find it.
I plan to do some measurements primarily RT60, frequency response changes don’t seem to tell a comprehensive picture. I am not looking for perfection, after all some room liveliness is welcomed but I do have some demons to tame, interesting times ahead.
Hi Matt I just bought one the other day I have a naim mu-so and the evo one has in my opinion a much better sound and with a 6 year warranty from ritcher sounds in the uk so 👍🏼
OK Matt, you had me at VU meters. LOL I love your new space. I have a new space too. My old house had a 13 x 13 listening room that I used for 27 years. My new house has a 20 x 33 listening space with a 9 foot ceiling. It's so much less boomy. I'm really looking forward to watching your room develop.
Congrats on the new space, it’s always fun to work through some of the challenges the room brings. I am looking to tame the room a bit now, this one requires a bit more than the previous.
This is not on subject. I saw your vintage reel to reel behind you. I went through your old videos to see if you have one about it. Couldn't find one. I have been looking into buying a vintage one. I would be interested in seeing a video about your process of getting one, positive & negative & how happy you are with it. Thanks, the Cambridge reminds me a little of the Naim all in one except it has a screen. Too bad it doesn't have room correction & no subwoofer out.
Certainly! The panels I am getting should assist with the echo in the mid and highs then a couple bass traps in the front as well as panels for first order reflections. I was actually just thinking of reaching out to Arendal this morning.
Ehhh... not for 1500. Can buy good micro system half that price. $600 Denon D-m41 and put speakers on their side and system under 6 in tall. Or marantz nr1510 + pair martin logan 4i and small sub under $1400.
They have a nice trade in programma, where you can trade in your balls after buying. Cause you don’t need them anymore. Guys get real and buy a real stereo system with big speakers.
Nice...i bought the Cambridge Audio MNX10 as i use an Emotiva pre-amp & 2 channel power amp...uses the same Streamagic App...no screen but a tablet for the Streamagic App ,Tidal Connect, ESS Sabre dac's ...neat little streamer that does all i could wish for..that's a neat one piece does all, nice....
Thanks for the review ! Do you know if it's possible to turn the screen off while the sound is on? I find it very important for a "bellow tv" use.
Thanks for the great review. Would you say that the Evo One has better sound quality than the Naim Muso?
Great space. I am trying to get an EVO One myself. Fun video.

@@MattCoykendall1 Yes. It is really a lifestyle product. I got to play with one back in July but not for review. It does sound remarkable.

Think of it as a new-age table radio ... Like the Bose Wave.
Thanks for the review. I am looking to pick this up when it hits the US dealers. Question ... what is the rack that you are using for vinyl storage?

👍 Awesome Matt, looking forward to seeing all those spaces eventually finished!
You and me both!

Damn! What a great, well produced, and well thought out review. Great job!
Thanks for swinging by Nick

Does anyone know between the Evo One and Sonus Faber Omnia which one sounds better?
10:30 ... one noteworthy feature ... the upside down labels on the back panel connectors, so you can read from behind or above. Nice Touch!
I do appreciate that touch on their products.

First time I've seen it ... but then I've not messed with Cambridge stuff for quite some time.
Great review.
Yes that room sounds very echoey on your video
Yep, changes coming
I like it, but it better sound damn good for $1,499.00
12:48 OMG! You said... Gulp... "Lifestyle". Reminds me of that brand B... 🔥💥💣☠
Just kidding... of course 😉😉
The room is definitely going to need treatment. Diffraction and likely bass traps. I wonder if Arendal will send you the new 1528 towers to play with.

No sub out seems like a big mistake imo, looks cool though
It’s a cool product for sure, functions really well but yes a sub out would have really boosted its soundbar replacement capabilities.
@@haasii also no headphone out.
The tags block the words you put on the screen on a phone. Kind of annoying.
Interesting, I will take a look at that. Thanks for the feedback.
Why in the world would they think making it off-center looked good? My OCD says hell, no! lol
haha I am an OCD person as well, captain double check the doors at night but this type of thing strangely doesn't bother me.

Way too expensive for what it is. I pay for no ads and you put them in. Bye
See ya!

And make all the same mistakes you did?
Naaaa....
