I've been learning how to sing for a year and trying to find more safe and efficient ways to slip into harsh vox, and someone pointed me to you. Thanks; I'll give this a go for a bit and see how it goes!
The most important thing is making the basic fry scream sustainable and consistent. The next step is practicing vowels (A, E, O, U, Y) and syllables like wow, who etc. Once those are easy you can practice with one syllable words like fly etc. After that you can practice with the lyrics, even word by word etc.
Awesome! If you record something during your practice, feel free to send me it on email - xvocalcenter@gmail.com In the beginning it's very important to take care of setting the right technical foundation and avoid creating unhealthy habits.
Hello, it would be easier to tell if I had a chance to listen to your vocals. If you have any recordings, feel free to send me them on email - xvocalcenter@gmail.com
So I’ve been self teaching myself for years (inhale(super easy and never had problems but I want to just stick with exhales and exhales I’m learning now) and I honestly don’t know with exhales wether I’m doing fry or false. I’ve invested money recently into learning and stuff and NO matter what I just don’t understand what people mean with soft pallet and stuff. I always get told that fry screams are “quiet” and can be quiet but for the life of me I can’t get them to be quiet. I learned how to control diaphragm and I’m doing “screams” but I always get told you shouldn’t be hearing your voice or the note you are throwing with the scream(meaning if I’m saying ahh it should just be the scream and not the voice backing it if that makes sense) so I got a scream going but the bottom of my throat gets itchy a bit (it’s not uncomfortable though and I don’t cough) but I can’t really like say anything while screaming really it’s just the “ahh” part of it. I’m begging you can you help or do you even understand what I’m saying. I’ll even send you an email of my scream just for you to tell me what I’m doing wrong or what scream I’m doing.
I have learned to do head voice (falsetto) fry screams but I can't do chest voice fry screams and there isn't much info about it online, maybe you could give me a tip?

Here are some materials that might help: ruclips.net/video/u0CCwBMwtoE/видео.html ruclips.net/video/LZslw47AQCQ/видео.html Those two can help you to get a deeper and more chesty sound too once previous exercises will become easy: ruclips.net/video/yG3aeDx0Flg/видео.html ruclips.net/video/Dwm-T6qq_98/видео.html
Gdy się uczyłem kilka lat temu to coś tam mi wychodziło, ale aktualnie moje fałszywe struny głosowe są chyba skamieniałe. Beznadziejnie to brzmi i nieważne jakich technik użyję. Może po operacji przegrody nosowej się poprawi (mniej odchrząkiwania).
This ain't fry scream. This is vocal fry scream. Which is...very different. The first one is way louder and safer as the distortion comes from cartilages or even your ventricular folds aka false cords/folds. The other one is really quiet and possibly dangerous as the distortion is generated by your true vocal folds vibrating in an irregular and fast way. The ony common thing between the two is vocal folds adduction, creating a narrower airpath. Fry examples : Joe Badolato (Fit For An Autopsy), Phil Bozeman (Whitechapel), Will Ramos (Lorna Shore). Vocal fry examples : Matt Heafy (Trivium), Avatar, ETHS. Pick your side.
Ok, in case if you thought that I didn't know it, here are other tutorials about DIFFERENT ways of achieving a fry scream (all of them works - it's just a matter of finding out what methods suit the voice of each of the person that I practice with): Engaging false vocal folds and perhaps the arytenoid cartilages: ruclips.net/video/S3p3DZU2UJs/видео.html ruclips.net/video/upsJy_8aDnA/видео.html (distortion to fry scream) ruclips.net/video/w-Z1bWXEe0s/видео.html ruclips.net/video/ALhYjTAsFuo/видео.html (kargyraa to fry scream) Vocal break to fry scream (but also distortion, kargyraa to fry scream): ruclips.net/video/u0CCwBMwtoE/видео.html "Compression": ruclips.net/video/6eUV205aQic/видео.html ruclips.net/video/AJAbKuipkoA/видео.html Vocal fry, head resonance and compression: ruclips.net/video/za8btJMGtNQ/видео.html ruclips.net/video/JCSWHX_dn10/видео.html ruclips.net/video/HLGokSSv1LA/видео.html ruclips.net/video/9rBOJX0v7SY/видео.html Working on a projection: ruclips.net/video/LZslw47AQCQ/видео.html Screaming lower: ruclips.net/video/yG3aeDx0Flg/видео.html ruclips.net/video/Dwm-T6qq_98/видео.html Screaming higher: ruclips.net/video/80wyVByfQ8Y/видео.html Here's the first music video from my new band where I mostly do fry scream, both vocal fry and just "fry scream" as you described it (and a couple of death growls here and there): ruclips.net/video/Jv7pXOZZ178/видео.html

Thanks for this. It's been challenging for me since I first started using false cords 😁 and this is very helpful.
I managed to achieve the sound as in the video. But I don't understand how to sing it.
