Thanks so much! I appreciate it. I was part of an undergraduate research project with bacteriophages that involved isolating novel species. I would love to hear about your work!!
PhageLord - these organisms are fascinating. Since they’re smaller than cells, can you explain how they move? Is it some form of hydraulic mechanism like hydrostatic pressure within the legs?
@@R1P0ST3 I'm no expert, but your answer may lie in researching how motor proteins move. The molecules themselves change shape to move like legs. They are tremendous (compared to the size of a single atom) and complex molecular machines.

This is great ICONBOY! I keep phages in my fridge...They stopped my dog from losing her eye, when the Vet couldn't control the infection - 2 weeks on phages and her eye went from bulging almost popping out of the socket and red with green puss, to a beautiful clear eye once more - the damage looked irreversible, so these phages are great :) It is great to see you put this up - When I tell Doctors in the UK, they look at me like I am a moron, when I say they are the answer to antibiotics! Especially when I say I got them from East Europe!
Drew Harper wow, that's an awesome story. I'm glad to hear that! Phages definitely have great potential and could really change things in the medical industries.
I agree - I just hope the big pharmas don't hijack such an abundant source and plant us with a massive price! I also used them for a chronic staph infection in my lungs, which worked too... I have found when I use them they reverse resistance in the bacteria too, so theoretically you could reverse other resistant bacteria, just keep moving the goal posts!
You can buy E. coli phages on line for E. coli easily as I have gotten them and they are from vita cost and it’s cheap and free shipping most the time if you buy over certain amount like 70 bucks I think it is. It’s called flora assist GI phage technology and brand is life extension and it covers phages for E. coli and salmonella etc
Also don’t forget to take as many strains as possible of good probiotic bacteria as they will cure your UTI too. They are amazing with so many pathogens but I mean they won’t cure them like phages will but they will help a lot. I have bought hundreds of different strains of good probiotic bacteria and wow the difference it’s made in the staph sores and other infections I have are amazing
I too have the same issue with buying phages in my country. I live in Australia and it looks like I will have to fly overseas to get them but I am so sick I don’t want to travel tbh and I would rather be able to get them shipped. It’s not right that all people can’t get access to them.
This is actually really cool since I'm learning about this in school right now! My friend says that the one shown in the video looks like a space ship and now its become an inside joke with our science class XD. LIKED!

they can be used like antibiotic and as a food preservative, which is not like natrium nitrite which causes a variety of diseases,or phosphates which are even worse

Hello there, I am currently doing an EPQ project for college (EPQ standing for extended project qualification) and I am researching antibiotic resistance and its severity and i was hoping to use this video as a source (discussing the bacteriophage as a possible alternative.) We know very little about our microbiome and the bacterial and fungal communities that exist there, although it is becoming increasingly researched and studied. I would think we know even less about the phages in us and how diet affects them. It's a good question for sure!
