That trail looks very similar to a lot of the trails we have over here on the east coast of Australia, especially here in Queensland. Only difference is Jeeps aren't as popular here.

I used to live in Tampa and road the Management areas, also wheeled Hard Rock. Moved to NW Alabama in 2016 and found some amazing wheel'n in the area. Holler if y'all ever come up to Stony Lonesome OHV or Hawk Pride Mountain Offroad.

Although it only has 32's on a 4" lift, Ratchet (Jeep Name) has no quit in him. I had a CJ 5 for years before this one and like my YJ better. Y'all be safe and I'll continue to watch. Watching the black Rubicon, remembering how often my 2003 Rubicon got hung up on that darn skid plate. A nice flat plate does wonders for the tj, and isn't a complex modification. Do it, and enjoy. High centering a Rubicon is the worst feeling ever.
Definitely something wrong with that blue rubicon 🤔.. seems to have too much of a hard time going through obstacles that it would be supposed to go through easily.. maybe try changing the driver ? 🤷♂️… (took part in the sassing 😂) nice run you guys 😂👍👍

Some people might hate it, but I drive a 2wd jku. Even thought it’s 2wd, I’ve still heavily upgraded it. I’m on 37s, a five inch lift, RC shocks, and rear lockers to name a few things. I can’t go everywhere the 4X4’s can, but I easily keep up in mud and flat or downhill technical trails. I still get compliments from other jeepers too 😂
You wheel with what you got. At least it's a Jeep and not a Samurai, lol... Although there are some sick Samurais out there too. Just go get it dirty and let the complainers cry from the couch! 😆😆😆

My first manual was a TJ. I had my fair share of sport cars and want to jump back into a jeep. I'm looking into a JLU. Of course I would love a Rubicon but I honestly think it's a bit much and I won't use it to its full potential. That and the price. I'm thinking about jumping into a Sahara. What do you think? I want to off road but not so much rock crawl. I also prefer the 6 speed over the 8spd auto even though my buddies are trying to sway me into auto. I'm over in Clermont.
Firstly, I say get what makes you feel comfortable. I drive a standard as that's what I like but would prefer an auto for offroading as there is more consistent application of throttle. I wouldn't worry about the Rubicon at this point as MOST of your wheeling in FLA won't require it (especially for the trailriding and offroading your looking for). Get what you can get and enjoy it, you can always add a set of lockers or upgrades later. Look us up when you get it and we can get you out on some of our rides.
Funny part is a basic untold rule is always broken. When going thru long or deep looking puddles _ never stay center. When that exact spot is dry you can drive straight thru by staying hard left.
@@americanpatriot8996 most people will say not to pull in reverse. The ring and pinion in reverse is really weak. Idk why. But...that's what the majority say.
@@jasondevereaux3369 Because the way the gears mesh. in FWD they pull onto each other in R they push away from each other so less of the face of the gear is touching. You can then snap off the corner of one of the teeth and cause carnage. Watch a vid of how the ring and pinion mesh together and you can see what I mean. This is the same reason that High Pinion is desireable, more of the tooth face meshes together making it stronger.

Richloam has holes that would swallow those jeeps. I have a f350 on 49s and I've had the tires go under water.
Never been there myself but have plenty of friends with seriously capable jeeps that have spend overnights there waiting for a rescue out.

Most of us keep it about 5 pounds less than street. We don't do alot of airing up and down unless we hit an actual offroad park.
