Indeed, it only appears strange until you realise that this makes Omega a nice power of ten (to the fourth). I hope I explained the rationale for that choice in the video
@TheHWcave I've always noticed it as the exact accompanying value you need if making an RC low/high-pass filter with a -3dB point of 10^M Hz and set either R or C to 10^N ohms / farads.
What a beauty and an amazingly broad measurement range. Thank you for showing us the repair process! I suspect you will need a well filtered linear power supply to finish this project. I am looking forward to seeing your solution. Regards, David
The mix of your calm demeanour whilst being deeply analytical is a joy to watch. Look forward to the next one.
That's old school analog engineering at it's finest! Nice find.
Thanks for a very interesting video!
The strange frequency of 1591.5 Hz is the reciprocal of 2 Pi times 10 to the third power. A very useful number when dealing with reactance. .
That should be10 to the forth power Sorry about that.

I have the exact same bridge, it has been very useful. I 3D printed a matching mains connector using AMP crimp inserts.
Making my own matching connector was originally my plan but once I saw the whole power supply was missing, I replaced the connector as well.
I have this bridge in near mint condition!❤❤❤
You are indeed a very lucky person.

One of the best impedance bridges
One has to wonder just how some people treated these instruments with so little care.
This video is gold! ❤
Gee, old good device! My youth!
