    I think a big thing that holds people back is social pressure. You know how many people killed their dreams when they were teenagers or younger bc they were to shy or ashamed, or had people telling them that their dreams were garbage or unrealistic and that chasing those dreams was the wrong thing to do because they would end up homeless or dead, or they’d be a disappointment to their family. Every so often a generation comes along that is more aware of the irony and oppressive nature of school and work, and they end up doing more entrepreneurial and creative things with their life. I hope it’s this coming generation because something’s got to give.

    I feel what he was saying about clockin in to your dreams when you clock out at your job, but the whole thing about school was just him speaking experience, school can be very beneficial in helping you exit the world of entry-level jobs, the goal is to know what you wanna do with your life, then use school to your advantage. Same thing with jobs. use the funds that you gain from your job to fund your dreams, and use your education to add realistic structure to your dreams. All love to T-Pain and good luck to anyone reading this!

      School doesn't actually matter in the grand scheme of things, what he said was 100% on point and accurate fortunately/unfortunately... The amount of "professional" level jobs that I've bullshitted my way into is immaculate and I'm talking $100+/hr type deals that "require" a University Degree and I never even graduated high school, am currently on a government payroll with a pension in the works so yeah, unless people actually do educational checks It's pretty easy to just say you did something nowadays that you never did and just figure it out along the way... MD's is/are just about one of the only fields in which that memory is going to be necessary, mostly everything else job wise is just play as you go and figure it out along the way... 90% of my friends/family that went to school for a fancy degree are still working baseline jobs at McDonald's, etc. and it never truly comes into play even if/when it does, most people just give up at that point which is the whole premise of the video and what he's trying to say; stop working for the man and start working for yourself because education in the grand scheme of things doesn't do shit, it's self fulfilling/gratifying and very rarely pays off but if you're one of the lucky few that have benifited from it then props to you, it can help but it can also be a painful detriment due to student loans, etc.

      So many people with numerous degrees under their belt struggling pay check to pay check. Education is important how ever experience actually working in that field is imperative. I agree with Pain 100 percent line your pockets not the pockets of others generational wealth to carry on break the chains of poverty on your family business license are very easy to acquire a little money, time and patience. Learn to work smarter not harder. Invest in yourself make your money work for you. Roth IRAs and interest bearing bank CDs. vs traditional IRAs you get taxed and penalized lose if the economy falls and it does. Edward Jones is also an option for investing they do all the work. Don’t quit your 9-5 until your side hustle takes off. It’s really hard cause the bills don’t ever really stop. It also get harder for ppl to look out for you as you get older (like needing a place to stay…food to eat…) Best advice someone told me was a find a job that you actually like. Something that aligns with your side hustle/passion. So when you go home, you not as tired as the other lame 9-5 jobs that took so much life out of you. Just saying. You can make your dreams happen

  • @LifestyleofCartier

    This is so real and vulnerable. Thank you for your words legend!

  • @devotheambivert9875
    @devotheambivert9875 8 месяцев назад +2

    I agree with the statement that people should work hard on their passions, gifts, and dreams after they get off their 9-5 shifts. One of the goats in T-Pain made sense right there. Each and every one of us has a gift. We should not waste the gifts that we have. Gary Vaynerchuk said that people should work hard on their passions from 7pm to 2am after they get off their 9-5 jobs. Hard work is undoubtedly and indubitably important, but so is rest. I don't support indolence. I dont support laziness. But, I do support sagacity and wisdom. You don't want to mess your health up. Rest is important as well. Rest does not equate to laziness. It is unhealthy to work every hour of the day. Breaks are needed. Bathroom breaks and food breaks are needed. If you never urinate or defecate, that's a problem. If you never eat, that's a problem. If you never exercise, that's a problem. If you never stretch, that's a problem. If you never sleep, that's a problem. Sleep is important. If you don't get sleep, your productivity won't be high. You won't be as focused well if you don't get sufficient sleep. The quality of your work will be negatively affected. You don't want to work yourself to death. So, it's important and judicious to sleep. Your health is just as important as your work ethic. Like Wellness Mogul said, a lot of people are literally working themselves to death. It is imperative that people grind hard for the things they want. You don't want to work so hard that you mess your health up and risk getting diesesses. What is more important is the the quality of your life. Word.

    If you genuinely enjoy what you do, if you're passionate about what you do, and if what you do helps other people, but it just happens to be a 9-5... do your thing.
    If you do NOT like what you do, if you're NOT passionate about your job, and if what you do doesn't help others, start looking for your own passion and goal in Life.
    Not all messages are for everybody.
    The best "bosses" teach you how to be a "boss" for yourself. They don't need you to stick around for 30 years. There's always a younger, more hungry, generation behind you.
    If you haven't found your passion, take this as a sign to make it your priority moving forward. Too many of us are settling... and that's not living at all.

I had to eventually call off, and I ended up getting fired. If you are working two jobs and 60hrs a week, you will be extremely tired. Not resting is ridiculous. T pain c'mon now. I understand the solution, but it's not realistic for everyone. Dropping the two jogs for 1 good job is plasicible but still chases your dreams.

    2:54 This is definitely some Gary Vee stuff Pain. Don't do that. We saw your vid talking to him a few years ago. Gary says almost this exact same thing & he grew his empire on his own just like you did.

      Because Gary didn’t build it on his own. His dad gave it to him to continue growing. That’s a MUCH easier process than starting from scratch.

    Great story but completely overlooks the fact that hes a generational talent who was at the right place at the right time. Not every highschool dropout is able to make Bartender.

    It took me years to realize that working myself to the bone for (name redacted) company, day in and day out, working almost every other weekend, staying late, handling stuff that wasn't my responsibility, all to get a 1% raise.... was stupid. It sucks because as humans we want to work hard, we want to be productive, we want to help. But man, don't waste your fuckin soul "working hard" for these corporations.
    (unless its something you truly love and all that, you know i'm not talking about that, I'm talking about most people's experiences with their J.-O.-B.'s)
