“Christian Vegan? But Jesus Ate Fish! And Lamb!” This is a retort many Christians use against the idea of ethical veganism, including myself at one point. However, what did Jesus eat? And if Jesus did eat meat, than is it ok for us to kill animals for food? Should Christians be vegan? I’ll be talking about all the points of Jesus’ diet and how you can still be an ethical vegan!

*Note: The section of the bible that I mention from Luke 24 verses 40-43 is the only mention of Jesus EATING fish. However, there are other verses about Jesus SERVING fish (e.g. when He fed the 5,000, when he had the disciples nets burst with fish, etc.) As a waitress, I can tell you that SERVING food to people who eat that food, and EATING that food yourself are two different things. Also, as I mention later, even if Jesus did eat fish along with the people He served it to, He lived in a very different time than we do today.

I had a Christian tell me the other day I was going against God's will for not eating meat. I was so shocked, because I never even thought about that. I just don't feel okay with putting animal carcasses into my body, but I don't want to go to hell either for disobeying God. Your video reassured me because you are right, we don't walk around in robes and sandals either etc. And in my knowledge it says nowhere in the Bible "you must eat meat".

And you are 100% without a doubt anatomically an herbivore. If god's intent was for us to eat meat; he would of anatomically designed us to consume meat. That is all you need to know. Many Christians are sadly un-educated about their own religion and are only interested in their personal convictions.

He didn’t. You can in fact research this. In original Hebrew bibles it said that he fed thousands with bread and water. It wasn’t until the Romans rewrote much of the scriptures because many of the, “ non Christians” they wanted to convert did in fact eat fish. So to satisfy the masses, the scripture was changed.

@@balachandardevaraj496 She is not taking into account some verses, like Luke 22 7-8, but instead she is relying on some kind of symbolism.
Jesus was 33 years old and lamb slaughter was the annual thing for one of the biggest Jewish holidays, so it stands to reason that Jesus ate the lamb in the past, too.
Then, about fish....if Jesus was a vegan or was against eating animals he wouldn't have eaten fish even to show that he isn't a ghost.
There are probably many different things he could have done to prove to others that he isn't a ghost. Eating fish is not the only way.
She then talks about different time and place where fish was the common and sometimes the only food, but that says nothing about Jesus being vegan or supporting veganism, because Jesus never taught anything related to veganism. Jesus said nothing remotely similar to "one day when you have enough plants to eat, don't eat animals."
      So that point fails.

I'm christian (Seventh Day Adventist) and independently of what other christians say, I consider that God has a specific message to their people in every instance. In these times, definitely, we must take care of our health and the life of God's creatures. For this reason (and thousands) I went vegan and I'm actually convinced this is the best decision I've ever done. We should stop thinking about our interests and start to see God's will in every part of our lives. For adoration, lifestyle is fundamental. We can't adore God with a silly and weak mind. We can't love God completely hating HIS CREATION. Consagration includes everything.

I understand your decision to be a vegan and I admire it and respect it. There’s nothing wrong with it however don’t start any wrong doctrines about Jesús not eating meat, even if he didn’t he didn’t condemn it. It’s not required for Christian doctrine to be a vegan or a meat eater for the kingdom of heaven is not about food and drinks but about justice, Joyce and peace in the Holy Spirit. You are no more Christian for eating meat nor any less of a Christian for not eating any animal product. That is a personal choice which could have its benefits however be careful in error because the path and the door to the Father is our Lord Jesus Christ not a meal.

It’s not a personal choice. Meat requires innocent blood to be shed which God abhors and even said He’d turn Hos fave from the prayers of those whose hands were covered with innocent blood. It’s also not joy, justice or peace whatsoever to condemn the innocent when God required mercy and even Jesus himself said this multiple times matt9:13, Matt 12:7 also hos 6:6. Meat eating was part of sacrifice on OT. God said He never commanded it Jer 7:22. Jesus ended sacrifice. Ppl today still do it. EDEN WAS VEGAN where And was created in God’s image - a vegan merciful image- to BE VEGAN. The end is vegan - Holy Mountain , Isaiah, Rev 22- God feed His ppl vegan manna for 40 years in preparation for the promised land and killed them when they ate flesh ... The angels eat vegan manna , heaven is vegan , ALL in heaven are vegan. It’s clearly God’s will and He says do His will. Jesus said to pray ...”thy will be done on earth AS IT IS IN HEAVEN”. Yet you chops YOUR WILL, YOUR excuses, YOUR stomach as idol twisting verses about sacrificial times in a post sacrifice era that Jesus DIED to END. Jesus did condemn it! Matt 9:13, Matt 12:7 also hos 6:6. Obviously He condemned sacrifice since He died to end it!! Meat was only allowed as part of a sacrifice and once sacrifice was ended ...

Lol you’re funny. Have you read the Bible ? Have you studied ? Have you compared the incorrectly human translated versions to the original texts so easily available on Bible Hub? God said at least 13 times that He did not command, want or like sacrifice. Even saying at times that He turns away from ppl when praying because their hands were covered in blood from sacrifice. Is that not clear enough for you because He repeats it over and over. U can check the video I last posted. Just a few are Hos 6:6, Matt 9:13, Matt 12:7 and in Jer He was very clear saying that He was NOT the one commanding sacrifice. How could you miss that but not miss all the ones that support the murder of God’s innocent animals created to give HIM glory & praise ?? How could you miss that Eden was vegan & that we are not to conform to a fallen world, or that God KILLED the ppl for demanding & eating meat during the exodus or that the actual translation of 9:3 is we were given permission to eat “REMES” or insects and the next line God said He would require our lifeblood at the hands of the animals we kill??? How does one miss ALL of that plus all the verses of God’s love for, defense of and vengeance over His animals??? Just for the sake of eating rotting carcasses that destroy people, animals and the planet?? Did you also not read book of Daniel? None of the above is gnostic but you would know that if you actually read the Bible instead of defending your lust for flesh. Just speaking truth here. Tired of people cherry picking then deflecting truth for their addiction to eating death and paying for cruelty and suffering.

I never thanked the messiah and Heavenly Father for the gift he gave me years ago but this time I’ll do it right. I truly believe he was vegan due to there being evidence that the original scriptures have been tampered with to keep the truth from us. (The book of Enoch is part of scriptures and even hinted our past brothers and sisters used to be vegan before being contaminated with sin by the fallen angels yet why hide Enoch’s story from certain religions?)

Going by the same logic as he did not eat meat so we shouldnt it meat - the new testament does not say he ever ate fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, herbs, spices, seasoning, oils. It seems all we are really allowed to consume is bread, wine and maybe fish.
Or perhaps the new testament can't depict jesus doing every single allowed action or saying every single allowed word.
If Jesus really thought eating meat was a problem - considering the whole canon of the Septuaginta is full of stories where eating meat is the norm - I think this would be adressed by him.

I agree. a Christian can be an ethical vegan, but the real question is should a Christian be an ethical vegan?
You have Mark 14:12-16 and Luke 22:7-13 where lamb slaughtering was mentioned and where in both cases disciples were preparing Passover meal to be eaten (We have no verse that he explicitly ate the lamb, but we also have no verse that he meant bread and wine and definitively not lamb), plus we have no condemnation of the annual lamb slaughter practice coming from Jesus. That is strange, because if Jesus was supposedly strongly against that practice, he would have been vocal about it, like he was vocal about other things he was against.
The third argument you gave does not lead necessarily to the conclusion that lamb was not eaten by him.
If Jesus was an ethical vegan and wanted others to also be ethical vegans, he would have been vocal about that and telling people to survive on plant based food if they could. Jesus never did that, in the matter of fact, he have done miracles of helping his disciples to get even more fish than they could eat.
And this leads me to the second point. Even if Jesus was eating fish and was fine with others eating fish out of survival, that would definitively mean one thing, and that is how animals are lower than humans and humans can kill and eat, use their products, for human benefit.
And not to mention that Jesus could have cause miracles for bunch of plants to grow or fruits and vegetables to miraculously appear instead of fish in the fishing nets, or that eating roots, or something, would give whatever is needed for survival, adequate proteins included.
I am not saying that just because Jesus ate animals, what I am saying is that Jesus didn't have anything against killing animals for food, and we can see that in the Gospels. So Christian can be an ethical vegan, but it is not an obligation.
You also have completely non-vegan actions Jesus have done, which I mentioned before, like...riding a donkey, while he could have walked instead (exploiting animal as means of transportation), exorcising demons into pigs, that is having more pity for demons than for pigs and letting them cause suffering and death to bunch of pigs, creating fish out of no where (promoting eating animals, while he could have created something plant based).
Also, it is not really a nice thing to block my account when i didnt do anything which would provoke that, I just expressed different opinion and I provided verses for my case.

Boris B animals were not subject to the same conditions- neither were they raped, pumped full of antibiotics and hormones and crammed in tight poorly ventilated factory farms where they suffer daily abuse at the hands of human beings. Had Jesus visited such a place what do you honestly think His opinion would be? Isaiah 65:25 tells us that in His kingdom even the most biscuits carnivores will eat straw like the ox and there will be no killing or destroying on all His holy mountain. The garden was vegan and so is the kingdom come what more do you need to know God’s heart? He tolerates and forgives us but we are given discernment for a reason. Sure, not in the exactly the same conditions, but animals were used as means to some human end, they where there to live or die for humans, and Jesus was not against that. That gives us the clear picture that animals have lesser value than humans and animals can be used for human benefits.
Sure...maybe in heaven all God's creatures will get along and sing kumbaya, but on Earth, it is a completely different song. What Gospels show and what Jesus thought was in no way vegan.
My point is that being a Christian and a vegan is compatible, it is not against Christianity, but also not being vegan is not against Christianity. There is no obligation for Christians to be vegan.

Also it says "Cursed is anyone who has sexual disturbances with any animal." and look out how in modern times farmers will artificially insert their arms into female cows and inseminate them after they artifically ejaculate male bulls- all by hand and with machines.. that is beastiality if you ask me.

This video has so many problems with it. But to sum up my point: If Jesus ate it, we can, too, period. He's without sin, and wouldn't commit the sin of eating fish, nor miraculously producing it to feed the thousands. Jesus most definitely ate the acceptable food of the O.T., as He is a Jew. The only thing the Bible says he abstained from is alcohol. Yet, it's not a sin to consume it, as He turned the water into wine. Lastly, as we're in the N.T., now, not bound by law; everything is permissible but not beneficial. Eat the natural foods God gave humans, which includes land and water life, plants, and fruits. Lastly, the Scripture tells us not to worry about what we eat, be thankful, and do our best to eat right. If one wants to abstain from land and water animal life, fine, but to say it's the way we must eat isn't Biblical.

The sheer number of early Christians who were apparently vegetarian is astonishing, and not just anyone either, we're dealing with seriously big names like St Basil the Great, St John Chysostom, St Jerome etc. Yet if you quote them on this issue to Christians now (without mentioning perhaps that you're quoting some seriously prominent saints) you'll often be met with derision or even an accusation of heresy. This to my mind is totally bizarre and speaks to a serious rupture between who we are in modernity and what we once were as a unified Church.

I'm not going to inadvertently say that, ppl, because of their carnivore diet, do not love animals or are part of killing millions of animals for food each year. My choice of going vegan has absolutely nothing to do with my Christian walk. This is the same thing as the ppl who say we must worship on the Sabbath. We are to love our brother not show ourselves "righteous" because we abstain from food, worship on the Sabbath, being celibate etc. We are to encourage and lift each other up not make them feel bad because "Hey look at me, I love my fellow animal because I don't eat meat". Knowing that abstaining from meat is difficult. Also, not telling ppl the fact that if you eat meat or fish it's not going to bring you to hell. "Its not what goes into the body that defiles a man but what comes out." Matt 15:11 As a follower of Christ we, especially I, need to uplift, teach and serve our fellow man. We need to be less, as a servant and Jesus needs to be more.

I am a Christian vegan, and maybe I am misunderstanding your message, but there is nothing in the Bible that suggests we must be vegans. I am disappointed that so much of what you said about Jesus' diet was speculation (and not solid at that). I agree that much of the reason he likely ate meat was out of necessity and most scholars argue he was likely pescatarian, but I know of nothing to suggest he did not eat meat. Just because he avoided certain customs does not mean he avoided all of them. You are 100% right about animal agriculture, as much of how we should treat animals is found in Romans, and for that reason any Christian who knows anything about it should stand against it and not eat factory farmed meat or products. Paul, one of the most inspired apostles, goes as far as saying we have weak faith and should not chide those who eat meat, or the other way around. Revelation as it is talks about animal sacrifices after the return of Jesus. I am a vegan and proud of it. It is closer to God's original design, and with supplements can be a wonderful and fulfilling lifestyle. That being said, I believe limited consumption of animal products is healthy because of our bodies' natural deficiencies that plant foods cannot meaningfully - or at all - supply. I love you, support your walk with veganism, and wish you well on your walk with Christ, but I have gone on long enough. God bless you.

I find it highly unlikely that Jesus was vegan or vegetarian. That would have been noted and written down because it was not the status quo. Any unusual diets were often mentioned in the bible (Like John eating locust and honey or Daniel eating only vegetables). But I do agree that the scale of animal consumption these days is ridiculous. Ancient times meat would have been a rarity, a special thing to eat during ceremonies mostly. And fish, though being the most common animal meat eaten, was not the stable food. Bread was. That is why expressions like 'daily bread' and 'bread of life' hit home so hard. Animal consumption was small scale and sustainable. Complete opposite to modern times. The animal industry these days is disgusting and greedy. God does definitely not like the way we are going about destroying the planet and causing animals to suffer. I would say using animal products SOMETIMES for SURVIVAL in SMALL SCALE is ok. Not the way we currently consume animal products. And since the majority is over doing it, the christians might be better of avoiding consumption of animal products TOTALLY to make any meaningful impact and to balance out the damage already caused.

Mark 14:12 Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they killed the Passover lamb, His disciples said to Him, “Where do You want us to go and prepare, that You may eat the Passover?”
Luke 22:7 Then came the Day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover must be killed.
So what did the disciples killed and prepare?

  • @ukulelemike
    @ukulelemike 3 года назад +1

Point 1: What Jesus and His disciples did was to reject traditions of men that the Pharisees and rabbis added to the law. When they picked grain on the Sabbath, it was because they had nowhere else to go or to eat, which we later see Jesus rebuke the Pharisees that judged Him over it; why didnt they do their lawful duty to help the needy?
2: yes, the last supper was absolutely a Passover meal, which takes place at 6PM and the very start of the Jewish day, which goes from 6PM-6pm. Jesus later died at the end of that same day as the Passover Lamb of God. So yes, there would have certainly been lamb at the meal, as this was the requirement of God.

    • @ukulelemike
      @ukulelemike 3 года назад +1

Point 3: yes, Jesusnused the last Passover supper to show His disciples the change, and He did so by separating the bread, (which was the afikomen, a specific part of the Passover meal, a piece of unleavened bread) and the cup, (never called wine in scripture, not fermented as it represented Jesus' sinless blood), to represent His body and His blood. There was no need to specify anything else because they all knew what they were eating and why, and a tiny bit of research makes it clear. You might look into Jews for Jesus, at their presentation of Christ in the Passover.
4: When they gave Jesus the broiled fish, they also gave Him honeycomb-If Jesus was vegan, why didnt He just eat the honeycomb and refuse the fish? But He ate both.
As well, at that time Israel was a breadbasket of growing abundance and there were any options.
Now we also dont want to ignore what the rest of scripture, old and new testaments, say about eating of meat. The idea flourishes, even with Peter being told to rise, kill and eat, in relation to a vision about animals. Yes, I understand the spiritual application, but there was a physical one as well, because as Jews, following the dietary laws of Moses, that would hinder Jewish believers from having full fellowship with Gentile believers, and the dietary laws were done away, as were really all the laws fulfilled in Jesus.

Jesus was not a vegetarian. The Bible records Jesus eating fish (Luke 24:42-43) and lamb (Luke 22:8-15). Jesus miraculously fed the crowds fish and bread, a strange thing for Him to do if He was a vegetarian (Matthew 14:17-21). In a vision to the apostle Peter, Jesus declared all foods to be clean, including animals (Acts 10:10-15). After the flood in Noah’s time, God gave humanity permission to eat meat (Genesis 9:2-3). God has never rescinded this permission.
With that said, there is nothing wrong with a Christian being a vegetarian. The Bible does not command us to eat meat. There is nothing wrong with abstaining from eating meat. What the Bible does say is that we should not force our convictions about this issue on other people or judge them by what they eat or do not eat. Romans 14:2-3 tells us, “One man’s faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him.”

    Christ ate real FISH.
"39 See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye behold me having. 40 And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. 41 And while they still disbelieved for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here anything to eat? 42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish. 43 And he took it, and ate before them.
    "
    Luke 24:38-43 (ASV)
He also fed thousands of people with them.
The Bible, the "Word of God" says so!
"But Jesus said unto them, They have no need to go away; give ye them to eat. 17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.
18 And he said, Bring them hither to me.
19 And he commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass; and he took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake and gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples to the multitudes.
20 And they all ate, and were filled: and they took up that which remained over of the broken pieces, twelve baskets full.
21 And they that did eat were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

@@earnestlycontendingforthef5332 please my friend, don't take seriously every thing that newspapers publish. Currently, I'm working in my university' research department, so maybe I can help you a little with this. Let's go!
First, we have to analyze what kind of information we find in a scientific article, and the design research. Scientists principally work with three different types of designs: descriptive, experimental and analytic. Of course, there's a lot, but these are the most common. Maybe, now you're asking me WHAT'S THAT? Well, this is important to understand because every research has an evidence quality, and it depends of the type of study design. I can't identify the type of study on the link you send me, because sadly I couldn't open it (perhaps it is not available in my country). Jesus has no problem with people killing animals for food.
Remember the parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32)?
    Verse 22-23:
22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate.
Read again verse 23. Why would Jesus used "killing animals for food" in his story (parable) if He was against eating meat?
Doesn't make sense. Seems to me He had no problem with people eating meat.
If Jesus was a vegan, that parable, specifically verse 23, would have been a little different.
And also do you remember the story about Jesus feeding 5000 people? He fed them with loaves and fish.
Of course it was a miracle and He didn't actually killed the fish. But He could have just bless and multiply the 5 loaves. Why multiply the fish as well?
Jesus was very consistent in everything he did while on earth. Feeding 5000 people with fish is not really consistent with "don't eat meat".
    What do you think?

Or today, help someone whose car has gone off the road on sabbath or say NOO…. Itd sabbath we have to wait til sundown! That is incorrect. Doing good deeds such as healing the sick or eating grain if hungry when nothing else was available-thats A OK! He said He came to reveal the Father. What a loving Father we have! A deeper study proves that toward times end animals would be unhealthy to eat due to sin-toxics chemicals poisons and so on-animal flesh is much more disgusting and toxic full of pesticides adrenaline forced into their bodies in slaughter houses due to overwhelming terrifying fear seeing the killing machines and abuse as they are led to slaughter. Genetically modified grain they eat, and given ground up animal mixed into factory farmed animals to eat, that they dont normal consume. Yes the whole earth and plants are covered in toxins but plants are far less toxic than the blood and flesh of animals today. Ans plants still contain their anticancer and health promoting qualities. The Old and New Testament contains much information for the student and studier of scripture on the subject. Its just that taking the time to study it out is difficult or not interesting for many. To each his own, people can make their own decisions and choices but no need for arguing as its only for wasting time. Blessings~

The verse and chapter that she is referring to in this video, that actual interpretation of the word fish means “a relish to spread on bread” The verse where he said “ throw down your nets and I will make you fishers of men” is actual fish.…. It makes sense that there was no lamb at the last supper because Jesus IS the lamb of God. The idea that they are eating lamb at the last supper is ridiculous to me and reeks of wishful thinking by the mind steeped in sin, that wants to kill and eat murdered flesh. It’s very interesting that lamb is served as the Jewish custom for the Passover meal, and Jesus is the lamb of God, that is the sacrifice that is to replace all sacrifices of animals. He overturned a lot of the unconscious Jewish religious practices of the day to fulfill God’s plan rather than just continue customs.

Putting it all into perspective. I like that ❤ As a baptized Catholic who knows the faith well and relatively new on a vegan journey. I can say that veganism fits in very nicely with Catholicism. Catechism if The Catholic Church "2418 It is contrary to human dignity to cause animals to suffer or die needlessly." And in Catholicism animals are sentient and do have a soul but not an immortal soul. And some believe that are included into the New Heaven New Earth. So going vegan should be a very Catholic Christian thing to do, people are just lost to this beautiful most merciful message. Also Jesus ate a predominantly plant based diet and we only know of a few instances from scripture and history that he possibly ate animals a few times a year if at all. A lot of what we think about Jesus eating animals is assumptions as you have shown me. Other than the verse you mentioned, where he ate the fish to prove a divine truth. And necessity plays a big part here. Obviously it's not immoral to eat animals if there is a true need to be doing so. But most of the time today when we eat animals it's it for a true need. Also there was no factory slaughter farming in his day either, as well as the mass fishing operations like to meantikned. If Jesus walked the earth today I feel confident in saying he would be opposed to factory farming, fishing on a massive scale. As followers of Christ we need to think about the evil and suffering imposed on the billions of animals and workers for that matter just so we can satisfy a sensory pleasure, that isn't necessary or healthy for us in most situations. Also it isn't illegal to kill animals just as it isn't always immoral to kill animals. NECESSITY is the operative word here. In the case of survival of a human being it may be necessary in some cases to kill animals. But obviously it is not necessary to kill billions of animals every year so most people van get fat, and sick.

    • @iam604
      @iam604 3 года назад +1

I agree with most of what you said but it is a sin to eat them because it goes against God’s first instructions to male and female on page one. It was also retold to Noah that we shall not eat animal flesh especially since Noah took all the so called “clean animals” and offered burnt sacrifices to the LORD as soon as he got off the Ark even though he was never told to do so and had just saved those animals. So, if sin is going against God’s word, then eating dead animal flesh is a sin.

When you follow Jesus commands as recorded in Matthew , Luke and MarK you follow commands that YOU THINK may have been ALTERED by humans over the years ,
When you follow the decrees of Paul you are following decrees YOU KNOW are from a human - from a human who hunted ,prosecuted and killed all Christians before his “conversion” and then all who opposed hi decrees after his “conversion’ .
Who was doing the converting? Paul into a Christian or the Christians onto Paul’s followers ?
When you follow the commands of Jesus as recorded in Matthew Luke and Mark you are following the commands of the one before whom you WILL appear on the day of judgment
When you follow the decree of Paul (which excuses you from following the commands of Jesus ) you are following the words of a persecuting , murdering human before whom you WILL NOT appear on the day of judgement.
If you followed Jesus’ commands in Matthew, Luke and Mark thinking they came from Jesus but it turns out they were altered by humans you could honestly say to Jesus “MY LORD ! I followed these commands because I BELIEVED these came from you “
But If you Followed NOT Jesus’ commands in Matthew, Luke and Mark you’d have to sputter the following nonsense “.My Lord I thought you were crucified so that I would not have to follow your commands”
At which point, If it turns out that humans did NOT Alter Jesus commands in Matthew, Luke and Mark, you will be cast out from Jesus presence into torment !
    Choose wisely.
And to be clear I am talking about Jesus’ command to alleviate human suffering.
In Jesus life time the population was 1.3 million and providing meat for it did not require 38% of the earths land mass and necessitate the clearing of 28 million additional acres of forest every year to keep up with the growing demand for meat more green house gasses than all forms of transportation combined
In 2022 the population is 7.9 billion and growing and the number of meat eaters si growing and te meat industry is expanding becoming vegan is the only way to stop the meat industries’ deforestation alleviate human suffering then ,yes, means becoming vegan is simply the only way to shut it down.
Governments wont do it because the meat industry bribes congressmen to vote in its favor .
The deforestation is already causing meg droughts on every populated continent including the western USA .
The average annual temperature on earth has gone from 13.94C to 14.94C since 1880 -most of that since 2000!
1 billion people are already starving and can not get clean water to drink
So ,Yes, FOR NOW the only way to avoid catastrophic suffering is a one person to person appeal to another to become vegan -- which FOR NOW is obeying Jesus' command to alleviate suffering--- I HOPE YOU WILL REALIZE THAT YOU NEED TO OBEY JESUS JUST LIKE ALL THE REST OF US

I havent been convicted about eating dairy and eggs as long as I buy free range/grass fed products where the animals are treated humanly and with love and I dont eat it in excess. The eggs we eat are not fertilized and cows produce Milk in excess when pregnant just as humans do, more than their calves can drink. Maybe I will find myself changing in the future, Im not sure. But I do agree we should not eat animals if we dont have to. Only for survival if needed and even then we should do it the most human way possible and with the upmost respect and thankfulness toward the sacrifice made for us substance. Any time I have ate convential meat before I have found it to make me very anxious and fearful. I attribute this to eating an animal that was in a fearful state when being slaugthered and it makes me feel terrible for them.
