I've had a pair of these for the last 3 years, use them all the time. Very very happy with them. Did try lots of brands in this price point before getting them, I like B&W sound. A lot. 👍👍

I have a set of CM8 S2 for my front speakers, CM5 S2 for my surround and a CM S2 Centre, coupled with an AW610 subwoofer, this set up is as close to perfection as I think I could obtain, it works well for all types of music, however, a single instrument or single voice, such as a soprano is simply stunning, it is hard to explain. I have friends who believed they had a top-end sound system until they came and listened to my system, now they also have B&W speakers. Go and audition some, they will blow your mind.

Glad to hear you're enjoying your B&W's! They truly are fantastic speakers.

    Beauties!
B&W always makes great stuff, pricey but worth it!

Apparently every brand of speaker was used at skywalker ranch! I know ive heard that a least a few times from other manufacturers.

We know for sure they use both JBL and B&W.

B and W speakers were always really sharp by design but really sharp to my ears. God! Ear fatigue within the first two minutes of a song. I recommend them by all means to those with much less sensitive ears.

I have owned two Bowers and Wilkins speakers and was disappointed with both. These were 600 series speakers. I realize that these are from a higher series but I think all B and W speakers have a similar balance. The midrange of B and Ws is easy on the ear but somewhat recessed. I found the highs to be harsh despite the alleged benefits of the Nautilus tweeter. I have since moved on to the NHT C-3. These also have aluminum dome tweeters but they are much smoother than those in the B and Ws. Midrange and bass response on the NHTs is also more linear. B and Ws are not bad speakers but they are a bit overhyped. There are other brands out there that offer better accuracy and better value. NHT, Revel, Ascend, and PSB are good examples.

Not so much a review as a sales pitch from a site/store that sells them. It may indeed be a good speaker, but what other alternatives are there for $1200?

All of those reasons you like the speaker, you can thank the mix engineer for.

Can you recommend me appropriate cable gauge for these cm8 s2 set? I am currently using Audioquest rocket 88 cable but these cable are rated at 13 gauge. Is it too low gauge for these? I set them to small so they will not take on bass that i have svs subwoofer for. thanks
