This is phenomenal and I can't wait to listen to its full length. Reading Gulistan and getting an understanding of its structure was a great challange for me, but when I read this variation I had to scratch my head because I was quite cluelessly looking at this jungle of notes.
Sir Eric, My goodness - This excerpt from the Symphonic Variations far exceeds my wildest imagination - What a Magnum Opus it is. From what I understand the whole SV is something like at least 10 hours of piano playing. Just hearing this excerpt makes me want to try it on the Organ! Respectfully yours until the End of Time...
DAMN!!! First thought came up would be, congratulations, and salute to tackling SV! Other than that, I am overwhelmed with amazement and respect for you. Congratulations, and good luck with the world premiere!
At first, I thought you were reading it from the manuscript (which is a masochistic decision) and then I saw what I believe is the typeset! It got me a little bit worried for your sanity there for a moment xd
This is going to be insane, amazing job so far I don't understand how you have the mental capacity to deal with all these pieces around the same time, but that's a talent that will enable you to record them entirely in future. I hope you are the one to eventually tackle the Symphony no. 0, perhaps the very summit of the Sorabji's piano works when it comes to difficulty
Sounds incredible so far. Extremely excited to hear the whole thing. Am curious to see if it will top Gulistan as my favorite piece by Sorabji. Best of luck.
@@randomaccount2448 tbf, (and I’m not trying to judge anybodys music taste) just because it’s VERY (and let me restate VERY) technically impressive, doesn’t mean it’s good music. There are much simpler repertoire that frankly just sound better. I.E. silent night, dies irea, etc.
I mean to be fair I sometimes just like play "random" notes in a somewhat sophisticated way and it sounds something like this. Of course this is a million times better and stuff. I actually do like this alot.

Thank you so much for this, this is amazing. Obviously you have everything it takes to play this music, so do keep the good work!
Thanks! Love your work with Toccata Seconda and Toccata Terza!
Looking forward to the release! So lucky to get to hear this.
If there is anyone to do it, that's you!

Wow
Good luck with this titanic challenge - you’ll need it for sure! Also, “first” :D
Also, my sincere apologies for meddling with your sanity :(
haha actually multiple people was requesting that I'd try this, so I was getting myself prepared to lose my sanity anyway >:)
divine
since you mentioned there's a typeset score, would you happen to know where someone might get their hands on it?
It's unfortunately not ready for public distribution yet
POV: you get frustrated while practicing
But like seriously this is marvelously impressive

Hey man... Have you got a pdf for sorabji's symphonic variations? I only have manuscript and it's horrible to read...
Can't do, man. It has to be bought
@@Musicforever60 K... Sorry... I started Djami anyway. Any tips?
Too many notes, Mozart....
