Thanks for being here when this first time food processor user needed you! Making dough and I needed confirmation as to which blade to use. You answered ALL my questions!
Must add pretty much same here thanks ! Anything but read instructions! Just got a food processor for the first time. Got mine for bread mix homemade baby food peanut butter and grating why I ever did these things by hand I've no idea
Thank you!! I have this exact model and could not get it to work yesterday! I immediately saw my problem in watching your video! It's the center piece that is actually inside the bowl at the start of the video that had me confused. Gonna try to fire it up now! Thanks again!
My guess is that there's an issue with the locking mechanism somewhere along the way. Some processors require the top lid to go on opposite from the model I demonstrated with. I suggest trying again while paying particular focus on having each component 'click' into place as you put it together. If this doesn't resolve the issue, check to see if there is a reset button somewhere on the bottom on the unit. I don't think Black and Decker utilize this but I know some brands do. Hope it works!
What does the white lock mechanism on the bottom of the large bowl with the handle do. Underneath there is a white handle with the 3 tips to it. With a symbol that indicates a locked and unlocked position. If locked with it prevent the blade from spinning? Suppose I could just try it instead of asking, but I haven't used it once yet.
The placement varies from model to model but all food processors get put together in a similar fashion. For the top piece, place it at a bit of an angle (either left or right depending on model) and once in place move the handle to center where it will lock in place. At this point it likely still won't turn on until you have the last couple pieces in place (the bits that go in the hole that the food gets shoved through). Everything should easily go in place and click when it's right. Keep messing with it and it'll go.
Hold the container by the post. Use the edge of the sink as a stopper while pulling the post towards you. You might have to tap/bang it on the edge of the sink to dislodge it. That's what I do!
Tried these steps several times and it still doesn't work! I just bought the Black & Decker PowerPro® Wide-Mouth 12-cup Food Processor Product #43-2181-4 so I was pretty eager to use it. So disappointed. Any suggestions?
It's a older model Black and Decker. Although it still works fine after many years if use I wouldn't recommend it as it's exceedingly loud. If you can, I suggest spending a bit more and go with a KitchenAid or Cuisinart or something similar. They're good!
+Kris Mcphee I think it'd be helpful. I was in a rush and this was the first result... it was good but I think the music and preamble could be a deterrent.
Thank you. I watched about 4 to 5 videos before stumbling on yours. I was finally able to operate my processor afterwards

Please include videos on how to assemble and use the Aftron food processor. Your help will be highly appreciated.
I don't have access to an Aftron processor. It should go together in a similar fashion though. Good luck.
Helpful. Thanks!
Thanks
Thank you for the video. I could not read the fine print instructions. 👍🏾
You're welcome, happy processing :)
Kris Mcphee hi would be nice to see a video of how to assembly a tower food processor blender 2in 1 please

Only when locked will the processor turn on. It's a safety mechanism to prevent the blade from spinning unless all parts are in place and locked.
How did the top of yours just slide on? Mine won't budge and once I got it on it wasn't right and didn't turn on.

How would you remove the center post from the container. There's gunk in there. I tried turning the bottom to unlock but it won't budge.

@@KrisMcphee thanks!
Anyone got a video on actually using the machine with all the other attachments thanks.
