hello people, I live in Brazil, I am sugarcane harvester operator here, I think the fantastic machines there from abroad. very good even at this very modern agriculture, congratulations, oh I value and respect, great video keep it up.
+dimduk I hadn't noticed that until you said something; makes perfect sense. I had wondered why it had hydraulic pistons at the joint in the middle; I thought maybe it was a permanent, articulated unit, and that was how it steered, but now I see that the piston must be to make the trailer swing out to one side and stay there. You could just use an angled drawbar, but with a piston, you can make the trailer follow you straight for when you are traveling on roads, and you can also make it swing to whichever side you like, which is more versatile.

Pot is legal in one city in Holland, and there are more tourists smoking in Amsterdam than locals (and there are a hell of a lot of other things to do there besides get high). The rest of the city and the majority of the country is full of normal people, and they are, and have always been, highly industrious, capable and clever people. Only an ignorant dumbass would make an assumption like "everyone in Holland is a stoner, because, you know, they have legal pot in Amsterdam!" Prostitution is also legal in Amsterdam, IIRC, but that doesn't mean that everyone in Holland is a sex addict who likes to fuck strangers 24/7.
Are you commenting on the angle the bunker sits behind the chopper? It is set up to crabsteer, second set of tracks run next to track of first set so as not to have the weight go over the same patch of soil twice. All to do with minimising the impact on the soil by this activity.
This concept is okay for smaller fields like the one shown in the video it wouldn't really serve a purpose on bigger longer fields they would changing boxes twice in a row

The company you see operating here is such a plant and the equipment you see is the result of many years of development, It is a combination of pursuing the utmost efficiency in logistics specific to the product and process (feeding a dehydration plant), as well as actively pursuing to meet the wishes of their customers which is to minimise damage to the soil. In many parts of the world, where their soils are drier, this is not considered such a big problem, but where this is filmed, it is. This is not only for fear of getting stuck, or bogged, as the Aussies say, but because the soil is a living thing and has structure to it.

Is harvesting sugarcane as much of a pain in the ass as it looks?
A very well thought out machine,I wondered about the crabsteer trailer but now it makes sense.Less compaction means faster regrowth.Good video,thanks.

Tractor/trailer in most countries means an agricultural tractor towing an agricultural trailer, in this case it would be a self loading wagon

Great machines, but I think they are chopping when it's too dry, that's a lot of green leaf powdered they are missing out on?
