Very welcome, this workstation is absolutely fantastic! Yeah I was wondering why the computer was so loud when I first unboxed it and it was good that happen so I can inform others how to fix the simple issue plus get the Lenovo production line for the P620 fixed for the future =).
I had a similar issue with my Thinkcentre Mini as well previously that I bought last year and the fan noise sounded exactly the same. Had a Lenovo rep come down to change and fan and prob also maybe at the same time he might have done the same fix as you. Maybe Lenovo could look into its QC process to avoid such assembly issues in future.
I haven't got the Thinkcentre Mini in yet, so its good to know about that issue if I do Lim, thanks. Since the video that I have brought it to their attention Lenovo will be looking to prevent this issue in the future =).
Thank you for giving us an update! I really like the design of these machines... I'd almost buy one just for that ;) And in fact, I really like the factory support for Ubuntu. But I'll rather build my own system, because I don't really need *any* of the workstation features. I think there are too many compromises for my simple use case, e. g. proprietary mainboard form factor, power supply, can I change the fans without the system freaking out - probably not. Great for the IT department, but certainly not for personal use. Anyways, I'd appreciate some further comments on the fan noise: Can you give us some more information on the noise levels under low (like web browsing, RUclips and so on), moderate (single core tasks) and high (multicore or GPU/CUDA) loads?
Do bear in mind the Threadripper Pro has 8 memory channels whereas the consumer Threadripper has 4 so if you are using anything memory intensive (like video editing, encoding, rendering) that really does make a difference. But yes, this is a specialist device but the 12 core version could serve as anything really :)
@@joachimseilo9883 Technically you're right, but I'm very optimistic that a Ryzen 9 5950X performs similar or better than the 12 core-version (which would be a fair comparison price-wise, I think) in most applications that don't require more than 128 GB of RAM (I'd be more than fine with 64 GB). At least in most of my applications... The only thing is the availability of the 5950X...
Hi Vaseem, I have updated the description of this video with the my Lenovo affiliate links so you can check the pricing of the computer for your country. Also yes you can play games on this if you wanted to.
@@Vaseem_opai Oh sad, maybe give Lenovo India a call to find out when it is available there? For me yes this very well much better than the Precision 3640.
hmm. guess I'll keep my desktop for now. It's 8+ years old but still running strong. It still renders faster than a brand new iMac at my school's lab. iMac takes 1hr to render a project I did in Keyshot. Took it home, ran on my 8+ year old i7 custom built desktop and it did it in 20 minutes. lmfao wtf. School's are wasting millions on iMac for the hype. Just pay me to build a workstation for rendering. I can save them 80%.
Two 1U server coolers in a workstation. What a brilliant idea.
Jet engine wakes up and realizes it's meant for cooling a workstation. Comes to senses.
Great video! I was reluctant to buy one of those based on the comments about the noise but then you happened! Thanks again!

Thank you very much !!
What was the decibel value before the correction?
Had to go through my old videos, before the correction the fan noise was measured to 72.8dbA.
Lenovo workstation p620 can I use for livestream 24/7?
More than capable, it's designed for much more powerful task then Livestream. Yes being workstation class it's designed for 24/7 operation too
@@BsianTech thank you...
Did anyone compare p520 vs t5820 vs hp z4 in terms of them noise?
will the fans run at high speed if you plug in non certified Lenovo devices?
if you talking about graphics cards then no, as I have plugged a bunch of non-lenovo different graphics cards into this machine.
What is the price of this, can we play games on this.
