man Nick is an amazing vocalist he can do this amazing blunt, harsh, screamed hardcore vocals on songs like Millionaire and quick and to the pointless, and then clean, pristine vocals such as another love song, and auto pilot. Love it

this is the way the song should be played! Saw a version of QOTSA doing this without Nick and Josh just sings the whole thing. Totally takes away the energy of the song, it needs those screams on there!

He had anger issues and was also violent towards the fans as well. They patched things up anyway, and Nick did the encore with them at the Forum in 2014

Hell yeah man! Nick really pulled the duality of the band out. Kinda like an aggressive yin to Josh´s more smooth yang (vocally at least :p)

I am well aware that Dave recorded Songs for the Deaf, the point was I thought Joey was a better fit not only for the songs on that album but with that particular lineup; which has always been my favorite Queens lineup because they sound like heavy rock/metal. I think Dave is a better fit for ...Like Clockwork because it definitely is not anything like Songs for the Deaf.

Well you are right I am a guitarist; and my original post never said Joey was "better" than Dave. I think Joey is just a better fit for their Songs for the Deaf album because he's more of a power drummer and his playing style compliments all of those tunes so well. Much respect to Dave but I stand by my original statement.

I feel like i got a whole iceberg to discover abt this album, i first thought it was josh singing, then i saw the from the basement version and thought it was mikey but now i found the truth
Saw these guys in Germany, in Offenbach I think but don't quote me on that. 1000 seat theatre with no seats and amazing acoustics. They opened with this and blew the fuckin roof of the place. The rest of the show they had this swirling mass of an audience in the palm of their hand. Cracked a few ribs on the front railing but small price to pay for such a exchange of energy and life affirmation. Edit: I'd like to add that they were never the same without Nick.
