I came across these guys at my LFS a couple of years ago and immediately went into impulse buy mode. I bought 10 and got 2 for free and still have all 12 in a 40 gallon breeder with a pearl gourami and a small school of zebra loaches. Absolutely one of my favorite fish in the hobby.

Through my experience keeping Rummy Nose Tetras schooling behaviour is best observed when they are introduced to a new environment. After they have explored every inch of your aquarium and feel comfortable and no threat from other inhabitants they will slowly change to shoaling behaviour but still in tight school half of the time or when felt threatened. In the wild there's always a high possibilities of threat and always swim in a very tight schooling. Just sharing my thoughts of fish behaviour in aquarium compared in the wild 😁

They remind me of White Clouds a bit in appearance, except with lots of green. Really cool video.

Love them! We have a school of 14 or so in a 45 tall with about 20 neons and 8 diamonds. They are a nice green flash in a mostly tetra tank. The maintenance on this over stocked tank is well worth it. Super funny little dudes.

They are an incredible fish. Been keeping them for a long time with angelfish, pearl guaramis, neons,Cory's and bolivian rams in a 55. Heads up, don't ever try to catch one after you put one in by mistake, just go ahead and add more to have a group to fix it.

My red tail (leo) just passed away who lived for 10 years. He was a trooper as when I first got him my filter broke and caused my tank to look like a tank in finding Nemo with only one other Rasbora, who didn't make it . He lived through that for about a year and a half and lived for 10 to 11 years. Passing away this week due to an infection :( i got him 2 other buddies when i finally cleaned that tank and and he lived for so long, I'm grateful he saw a better day and i cant believe he did for this long

There are multiple Rasboras called "Brilliant Rasbora".
R Borapetensis are also called "Red Tail Rasbora" and "Blackline Rasbora". Note that the Blackline starts Behind the Eye.
R E usually has the Line start at the Nose.

I have 9 of these little guys along with 12 Neon Tetras, 11 Khuli loachs, 1 clown pleco, 4 Otos in a 55gal. Fully planted, blackwater conditions, though I haven't gotten the water to tint yet.
However, they are very shy. They just kinda hover in the middle lower of the tank near the plants. They rarely stray far. I'm not sure how to get them to be more active. Concerned about overstocking.
