    Trooper Byrd's Report:
On March 5, 2024, approximately 5:02PM, Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) contacted Arkansas State Police Troop A
Dispatch requesting assistance with a pursuit of a stolen Nissan Altima white in color displaying Arkansas AVJ58D (V1). The
pursuit was in the area of Roosevelt Road and Springer Blvd heading southbound.
I (Trp. Byrd) responded to the area of Interstate 440 eastbound (I440E) at Springer Blvd. The pursuit merged onto I440E from
Springer Blvd and continued to Fourche Dam, Exit 5. At this point, V1 abruptly exited cutting off multiple vehicles while driving
recklessly through a red light at the intersection of Fourche Dam and the I440E ramps. When V1 failed to stop at the red light,
cross traffic had to abruptly stop to avoid a collision. V1 merged back onto I440E where I was able to become the primary unit
in the pursuit. I immediately caught up to V1 to attempt to a TVI, but V1 braked and swerved to the left to avoid me. I
successfully performed a TVI immediately after that causing V1 to leave the roadway to the right. Once V1 came to a final rest,
the driver of V1 (S1) was taken into custody.
LRPD took custody of S1 and charged S1 with the following:
    5-36-103: THEFT OF PROPERTY = $5,000 - $25,000
5-54-125(d)(3): FLEEING - FELONY - VEHICLE OR CONVEYANCE - SUBSTANTIAL DANGER OF DEATH
5-71-218: OPEN CONTAINER CONTAINING ALCOHOL IN MOTOR VEHICLE

That move Byrd did was magic, where the suspect drove to the left side of the semi, then Trooper Byrd immediately touched the brakes steered left and got back on his ass and it was all over within seconds.
