Trooper Byrd's Report:
On March 5, 2024, approximately 5:02PM, Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) contacted Arkansas State Police Troop A
Dispatch requesting assistance with a pursuit of a stolen Nissan Altima white in color displaying Arkansas AVJ58D (V1). The
pursuit was in the area of Roosevelt Road and Springer Blvd heading southbound.
I (Trp. Byrd) responded to the area of Interstate 440 eastbound (I440E) at Springer Blvd. The pursuit merged onto I440E from
Springer Blvd and continued to Fourche Dam, Exit 5. At this point, V1 abruptly exited cutting off multiple vehicles while driving
recklessly through a red light at the intersection of Fourche Dam and the I440E ramps. When V1 failed to stop at the red light,
cross traffic had to abruptly stop to avoid a collision. V1 merged back onto I440E where I was able to become the primary unit
in the pursuit. I immediately caught up to V1 to attempt to a TVI, but V1 braked and swerved to the left to avoid me. I
successfully performed a TVI immediately after that causing V1 to leave the roadway to the right. Once V1 came to a final rest,
the driver of V1 (S1) was taken into custody.
LRPD took custody of S1 and charged S1 with the following:
5-36-103: THEFT OF PROPERTY = $5,000 - $25,000
5-54-125(d)(3): FLEEING - FELONY - VEHICLE OR CONVEYANCE - SUBSTANTIAL DANGER OF DEATH
5-71-218: OPEN CONTAINER CONTAINING ALCOHOL IN MOTOR VEHICLE - Авто/Мото

A little old to be stealing cars then selling dope and then running, geesh Grandpa you in jail again. Probably has sons in there and tons of grand-kids in there too.
Don't do stupid stuff when Byrds watching......lmfao, wtf is wrong with you?
YOU ARE THE GOAT OF PITs and TVIs. GOD BLESS YOU!!!
First time seeing Trooper Byrd on camera and I’m very surprised he’s that young! We need more of him ❤
Byrd needs to open his own barbecue restaurant because he is a pit master.
Nice one
The real "Pit Boss"!
He should be a spokesperson for Pit Master Grills!
Hahahaha
At least Tshirts . Caught by BYRD
Trooper Byrd is the MVP, but lets also give a shout out to the initial pursuit officer who did an amazing job staying with the fleeing suspect while also being aware of other motorists safety as well.
absolutely, he was amazing. and with your comment about other motorists safety, i totally agree. i appreciated when he asked the officer behind him to call the pursuit out so he could have both hands and full focus on his driving. 10/10
And with an Officer in Training riding shotgun.
Right, that initial officer had some skills!!!
and in a pickup no less
correction explorer still impressive no less
Byrd needs to play "Ride of the Valkyries" over his loud speaker as he's coming in for a PIT. That would be epic!
Oooh, I'd pay to watch/hear that 👍
That or surfing bird
Everyone is giving credit to Byrd but not enough to the original cop who first spotted the car and pursued it all the way in a much bigger/heavier Explorer while being very aware of his surroundings paying attention to innocent civilian safety above all then taking his place when state troopers showed up letting them take lead and end the chase. He’d make an awesome trooper as well… just like the ByrdMan. Salute! 🦅
I was really impressed. If it wasn't for that one oblivious driver who wouldn't pull over, he wouldn't have gotten so far behind.
@@VioletJoy Yep, seemed pretty intentional to me.
Trooper Byrd takes primary, and within 15 seconds the vehicle is stopped.
@scottlaplantelaplante990 I timed it with a stop watch; 11.11 seconds to be exact.
My god, it’s Jason Borne 😎
That's not even his record
Byrd is a PIT machine! No one gets away!
Which byrd? there's several on this channel, the poster just can't figure that out and you can't read the first name
It said Jacob Byrd.
They have, but not many.
@@ProfessorBidoof doesn't matter which one all are PIT gods
This one was insane, he's so aggressive.
Even the Arkansas State Troopers want other law enforcement to meet Jacob Byrd. It's really like meeting a real life superhero. What we all know and see about how amazing Byrd is, they know and see well. The man is truly a legend already. It's unreal how skilled he is in a vehicle.
The perp was even impressed and complimented his maneuver.
Its not that hard to pit a car from behind actually.
@@tabbott429 not that I dont believe you but if you have some receipts for that statement I'd love to see them. How many times have you initiated a PIT without injuring or killing anyone or without any major damage to the vehicles or danger to other motorists? Just curious so I know how much weight to give your negativity.
@@tabbott429 I this the famous Officer Abbott from the ASP (Altered State Police)? I've heard that you are so good that you prefer to PIT from the front.
As aa retired EVOC instructor, I can tell you that Tpr. Byrd's TVIs are textbook; perfect every time. It's impressive really.
stock car racing does that for you
The Byrd signal was activated during the pursuit. I liked how the officer introduced that suspect to ASP
Start of the video I thought it was a kid... this is a grown ass man who should know better.
SMFH!
Let me introduce you to my friends, Arkansas State Police. So cool calm and collected when he said it.
That was Awesome 👌
Listen to the discussion the 2 minutes prior. In the city cops mind, it was not even a question whether this car was going to be taken down, and then it happened within seconds of taking primary. That was beautiful.
@@baldhermit indeed
The legend returns…Welcome back to police pursuits Trooper Byrd! You’ve been missed!! 😀
Hell Yeah!
FINALLY
Bigtime
I appreciate all LEO's, but the ByrdMan is definitely a legend.😍
What a SIIIIIICK pit by Officer Byrd! Suspect suddenly changed speed and direction, but Office Byrd adjusted in a fraction of second, and slowly pushed the back of the car sideway... less the 8 seconds as the lead chse car... I wouldn't even be surprised if there's not a single mark on any of the cars invoved! INSANELY clean executed textbook TVI. Byrd's legend TVI status is FULLY earned! Props to everyone involved in this pursuit.
@11:12 Even the criminal giving props to Byrd, "Is that who PIT me? That was a pretty good move!"
There needs to be way harsher penalties for running from the police like this.
How could he dare to say he was not resisting after putting hundreds of people lives in danger to get away from the police?
How about Dave Grohl use his baldy head for drum practice? 🥁😅
Here it's a Felony but Prosecutors don't give a Rats 😮
One year for every red light and stop sign. Five years for every car forced off the road. And if involved in an accident, just throw away the keys.
Democrats want these guys to be able to vote
My prayers for the police officers who risk their lives every time they put on the uniform to protect and serve
Huh
Praying does nothing.
@@TheSh4dowgaleAnd disbelieve is a failure to care.
Amen, amen, amen!!!
@@TheSh4dowgale actually it does.
Watching Jacob Byrd is like watching a master at spatial awareness while driving like rockstar. The man’s abilities are well beyond his years. If you heard how used the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal right til very end of his task. All while remaining absolutely effortlessly calm. Two Byrds for one of this stop. Garrison is the baby I think.
12:57 "I appreciate you Byrdman"
RESPECT!🙌
I have to say, that was masterful driving all around. It's expected of Byrd and the ASP, but that Little Rock officer showed real pursuit skill. (Emphasized safety, didn't get fooled, and very smooth.)
Agreed!
In a post-apocalyptic world, Byrd would be Mad Max driving a V8 Interceptor.
Byrd is one "Smooth Operator"...what a flawless pit
Perfectly executed TVI! That was beautiful! Great teamwork!
Never ceases to amaze me at the ability and speed to which Jacob Byrd is able to end a pursuit. This one could have been a disaster but Byrd Man handled it like a pro.
He is a pro. Jacob Byrd had a lot of practice
@@czarekaj1098 You mean he gets a lot of practice! Arkansas seems to be loaded with no goods who like to flee in Dodge's or Nissans....
Wastes NO TIME!
@@rmcsonics quick and smoooooth.
Trooper Byrd doesn't get to do enough on days. We miss you Pit Master! 🚓
That guy didn’t even see the Byrds shadow as he swooped in.
Yeah that took about 2 seconds
@@Jeepsteve1982 Actually it was 10 seconds from the time he took primary to the Thug going sideways!
@@Tim.NavVet.EN2 Yeah, I commented as I watched it . That didn't take any more than ten seconds . You know when stuff happens so fast, it's probably Jacob Byrd . lol :)
@@user-kh2yl6nn3l Or his brothers in the ASP.... All of them are great at PIT/TVI!!!
Even the other Officers call him Byrdman. Love it. The legend lives.
09:35 Officer Byrd calmly and efficiently PITS the stolen vehicle after the original officer passed him the ball. Slam Dunk, bad guy!! Pure artistry!!
Anytime Byrds in the title you know its going to be good video! He doesn't waste anytime getting the criminal to change direction!
All the Arkansas State Police troopers with the last name "Byrd" seem to be quite well-trained in driving.
Byrd man can really handle a pit maneuver. Praying that in spite of his superior skill that the Lord will keep him safe!👮♀️🙏❤️
Amen. 🙏
Is He on the payroll?
Love Trooper Byrd!❤❤
Your magic man in the sky isn't real.
Prayer for them all!!!
Adrenaline rush at its finest!
Trooper Byrd, that is the smoothest, cleanest PIT maneuver
I have ever witnessed!
Kudos to you and all the other LEOs involved!
You all did one hell of a great job!
I am one of ASP's biggest fans! I like the way all local and State Agencies work together in Arkansas. Trooper Byrd has some kind of sixth sense on his TVIs. He is the legend, and this dude running should have asked for his autograph... LOL. In fact, ASP, I respectfully request a picture of Trooper Byrd with his autograph!!!!!!
“Here he comes, to save the day…”
Jacob Byrd is the King of the surgical TVI.
Mighty Mouse😁
If only all officers had the Arkansas mindset it would end this bullshit. I’m from Florida, now in Connecticut, NO ONE, I MEAN NO ONE WORKS it like Arkansas. You guys aren’t scared and you rock your expertise. Thank you.
The problem really isn't "all officers" its the city councils, mayors, state govt officials that are really the problem. People get what they voted for and allow to stay in office.
It isn't the officers. It's their bosses and politicians who set the rules and laws fault for the way things are. I wish more had the freedoms that ASP has.
Georgia State Patrol works its really well too
@@kman-mi7su indeed and all the Mayors, council members, state government officials; are all democrat
The Byrd comes in smooth as silk. The Pit Master cometh again! Byrd is awesome!
The Byrd Man didn't mess about! Straight into a PIT within seconds.
that fool is old enough to know better. nice driving and communication by all. stay safe, LE!
When you need a PIT/TVI, just call 1800 BYRD.😁
1-800-get-byrd perhaps
(800) ASP-BYRD 😁
Them Little Rock guys got after it too!
Woow what a chase with a perfect PIT ending! Thank you troopers 👏🏻
The driver of the car that deliberately blocked the officer when the garbage went into oncoming traffic should be charged with obstruction.
That was probably a blocker car, totally deliberate as you said
@@shoknifeman2mikado135 Agreed
Honestly this is more common than you think. Probably a normal citizen who just can’t drive lol people lose their mind when you are driving lights and sirens near them.
In NC there is a charge for failure to yield to emergency vehicle

I believe in a previous video, someone commented that the day Trooper Byrd was born, he tazed the doctor twice, then drove his parents home from the hospital! 😂😂
He probably did. 🤣🤣🤣
Best comment so far.....lol
Also they say Byrd was born in the back of a cruiser...
I remember that
He performed his first TVI while riding a tricycle.
Well played guys! Quick and to the point flawless pursuit and TVI. Good coordination! THANK YOU for your service!
Great lane discipline by the Little Rock Police Officer pursuing, and clear calm radio transmission. Great pit maneuver by the Arkansas State Police trooper. Nicely coordinated pursuit. 👏
@PolicePursuits THANK YOU for the footage of the TVI / PIT from 3 different police units! That was awesome! Byrd is amazing!!
Damn, that was a beautiful pit, Byrd! Thanks for keeping your roads safe from dangerous drivers. Much respect.
Sincerely, a changed felon.
Outstanding job officers, especially trooper Byrd! Wow, Arkansas is blessed with some truly excellent LEO's, much respect.
I really liked the editing of this video. It was nice seeing it from the Little Rock officer's view. Although LR doesn't have the GPS data, the overlay of the bodycam showing the driving and radio work was great too. Plus the multiple angles from the stop.
2:38. That Toyota needs to get a ticket in the mail
I think it should be delivered in person!
some idiot with an out of state plate, looks like the new TN plate
out of state TN driver, figures. they are worse than AR.
U know it 2! Head up the ass syndrome! 😤
@@redfox_84 I’m from TN and I agree. We’ve got some of the most irritating drivers, camping out in the left lane, distracted and not checking mirrors, and not using turn signals. Ugh
That move Byrd did was magic, where the suspect drove to the left side of the semi, then Trooper Byrd immediately touched the brakes steered left and got back on his ass and it was all over within seconds.
This move is very technical, but Byrd makes it look easy.
The truest sign of mastery is making it look easy.
the suspect said " you hit me?" "that was a nice move"
You just have to admit the ASP for their SMOOTH PIT MANEUVERS.
The only thing missing is the Mortal Kombat "Finish Him" when Byrd gets the lead.
In no way am i taking any credit away from any officer whom puts their life on the line every day to make sure day to day folk are safe, but "The Byrd" i am sure he is the real life John Wick of driving. All officers have their niche and are excellent. This is his. Stand proud officers(including K9s and horses) We appreciate you all.
Byrd wastes no time.
"You all want to beat me up, don't you" Cops "No" . All us innocent bystanders, that you endangered. "HELL, YES"
Byrd! Jacob Byrd!
This man is unreal!
He came out of nowhere and flawlessly did that!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Byrd takes the lead at 9.11, chase is over at 9.21 !
He came, he saw, he pit
It gives me chills to watch The Byrd Man do his job. Absolutely awesome!
Good Lawdy, Byrd does not waste any time! He shows up, and literally two seconds later, the perp is in a ditch! Impressive work by the other officers as well. The calm professionalism while on the chase and calling in updates was off the hook hella bad ass. These guys have mad skills. Kudos, man. Love you guys!! ❤
Byrd for the win! Dude's an absolute legend!
Byrd is the WORD!! He could open a school and teach other departments how to PIT, and advance law enforcement tremendously!! If there was just ONE of him in every county of the U.S., we'd be SO much better off!!
A well a everybody's heard about the Byrd
B-b-b Byrd, Byrd, Byrd, b-Byrd's the word
A well a Byrd, Byrd, Byrd, the Byrd is the word.
LOL...that song was originally performed by a group called "The Trashmen"... I guess the Byrd always has to take out the trash.
It's the No BS ASP showing law enforcement around the country how it should be done.
Especially California where a police pursuit is a traffic impeding parade.
Yeah, I watch other jurisdictions. And I wonder why they don't go to arkansas to train
@@GR-bn3xj Because most departments barely even allow you to chase nowadays, let alone use force to stop them?
Seriously, let's please stop this worship of ASP simply because they're lucky enough to have leadership that puts public safety first. It honestly makes these comment sections unbearable.
In my state all you have to do is drive like a manic and the cops can't chase you. It's really f'ed up.
Most LE agencies know how to get it done. It's the VOTERS who won't let them.
Dammmm!! Trooper Byrd swooped in like SuperTrooper and HANDLED that shyt! Yeah! I had to watch that a few times. That was classic Arkansas troopers doing their thing! Love watching you guys 💪🏽
I love it. Trooper Byrd "coming in hot" so just get out of the way! ASP is the most efficient TVI.
"The Byrd Man of Arkansas" -streaming soon on a crime channel near you!
Beautiful work by the LRPD unit and the other ASP Trooper blocking the two lanes so Byrd could PIT freely without endangering anyone else.
9:37 That pit contact was so smooth, you don't even see Trooper Bird's car lurch at all. 👍👍
Byrd took about 10 seconds from joining - the man is a MACHINE.
I wouldn’t trade one of these for 10 of those other so-called pursuits where all they do is follow the suspect for miles and miles, and I simply will not watch that LA nonsense. ASP, especially The Byrd, are the best! It’s so fabulous seeing him in action again. He’s so smooth, just glides in like a soaring eagle then quickly swoops and snatches his prey, game over.
He saw the blue stripes and at that moment he realized he had_fucked up.
Jacob Byrd a true legend . He doesn't waste any time, unless he's against a formidable opponent ... Which seems to be very few anymore . lol
He really needs to run an ASP tactical driving school rather than be under heavy risk out on the highways though . :) I'd say he's one of the top cops in the country and not only for his fantastic driving skills, but his great demeanor as well . Beautiful PIT Trooper Byrd . :)
The Michael Jordan of pit maneuvers shows what a great team player he is . Legend in his own time , Jacob Byrd . Thank you for your service , sir !!
"I'd like to introduce you to my friend from the Arkansas State Police"...
The Byrd of prey strikes again. 🙌🏻
Trooper Jacob Byrd should be a NASCAR driver with the skills he possesses. His situational awareness of vehicles around him and his ability to apply just enough force to send the menace into a spin for the PacMan, Game over Man, Game over.
Nice to see he's getting the recognition he deserves.
May not be NASCAR, but he is a race driver.
Trooper Byrd.....Your TPI Training officer deserves a raise .... He did a Great Job Training you!
He learned most of it as a semi-pro race driver is what I heard
Trooper Byrd's the man!! I wish LRPD could perform PITs, too!
Just listening to his engine as he masterfully works acceleration, matched steering and all put together with perfect timing - the man is truly amazing.
It helps his Charger is equipped with the Pursuit kit - I don't think all ASP Chargers are thus equipped but I might be wrong about that. I just recognize the roar of his engine.
Wow! That is a very high quality dashcam.
These "hot rod" car thief perps need to spend lots more time behind bars, especially repeat offenders - like this perp appears to be!!
For sure. He then have plenty to cry about in with BoBo
Not so fast! Don't take away my entertainment for the Byrd gangs and ASP GANGS! With them all in jail. Who going to keep us happy?
No doubt that piece of excrement has been to the Big House before.
Trooper Bryd did it again!
He just amazes me on his control with speed!
Also a shout out to the communication with all involved number two was calling out on the radio I like how they communicated their position and what their responsibilities were going to be once the perp was stopped
MAN, I miss the BYRDMAN, since he's on days the adrenaline isn't as high as it used to be 🙂↕️. It's still good, especially when you get the ones you're used to and know, but Byrd just has a special "fly high" speed PIT 😊🌟.
MUCH RESPECT FOR THE OFFICERS BOTH HUMAN AND K9 🐕🦺 WHO RISK THEIR LIVES EVERY DAY TO PROTECT THE PUBLIC AND THEIR COMMUNITIES ❤️🤍💙.
Stay Safe so you can go home at the end of your shift to your families 🙏🥰.
That is the Legendary Trooper Byrd for ya! Immediate and super clean TVI. There's almost no one who does it better.
The Legendary Trooper Byrd gets another one. Well done sir.
That's how you do that! Make contact and then maintain it and guide it off the road away from traffic
Smooth as silk
Byrd, Byrd......... Byrd is the word............... ;)
NZer here - I just LOVE the Arkansas State Troopers! Best of the best!
That pit was awesome! A very handy steep bank there too - *perfect* for ensuring the offender's car couldn't escape!
Awesome Teamwork from those officer's.
I applaud you all.
I'm also very impressed with the citizens of thar city. Why, because they helped the officers by merging to the side of the road even before the police officer was trying to catch the person with the stolen car. ( Some drivers choose not to pull over to the side let police office do his job safely.) Thanks be to God none of them got hurt. LVNM 87701
And the Byrdman swoops in to get another perp. Great job guys, especially while going through town.
How many cars has this Trooper Crashed!? He’s a BEAST! Again; if y’all riding’ dirty; get Byrd’s schedule.
The word is, that this one occurred on Trooper Byrd's day off. 😁😁😁
When the suspect asked if the police wanted to beat him up, I think one of the officers should have said, "No, we don't. We are trying to keep you safe because ALL of them want to beat your ass" while pointing at all the drivers the suspect put out risk.
Trooper Byrd, you are one heck of a driver. Thank you for being there for the citizens.
Trooper Byrd - the PIT Maestro, the purveyor of PIT perfection. The man, the legend, the Byrd.
Not only a pit in record time once on the scene, but the legit owners of the stolen car will get something back. Often after an ASP pit, all that is salvageable is the badge on the steering wheel.
The officer who caught him drove with perfection. Super fast. Passed the radio off, two hands on the wheel and caught the dude. Amazing.
Trooper Byrd: Surgical precision every time. Great job!
Thanks to all the officers making America Safe ,In a get it done quickly and safely manner,This is what Needs to be done,Thanks for letting us watch your Professional duties,Be safe ,And God bless

All praise The Myth, The Legend and as everyone is saying, The PIT MASTER!!
When the trooper came outta nowhere, it reminded me of the old Mighty Mouse cartoon song..."here I come to save the day!!"
Arkansas ought to call it the Byrd Bump
Man....that was a fast T.P. I.
