Hi, this seems so exciting!!! Any issues with police on the highway or on entering Bangalore (because of diff. number plate)? any need to carry any tyre puncture kit?
Any pre-practice rides needed or you did?
Any recommendations for stops/rests/stays for breaking down this journey?
1. Its a tubeless tyre, if you get a puncture you can continue your ride till you find a shop that will fix punctures. Still carrying a kit is aalso useful if you stranded in an isolated area, you can patch the puncture yourself. Tutorials are available in RUclips.
2. If you have never travelled long distances on a bike, then first you need to prepare your body for it. Go to small distances first, say 50 kms one way will be fine. So two way will be 100kms. Avoid stopping for quick breaks at first. You need to break your limits. If you can't take anymore, take a quick break for 5- 10 mins. Stretch your legs, do some exersises that will help your body. Gradually increase the kilometers on upcoming rides. This way you will gain experience. Experience is Key.
3. For very long distances, like 900 kms, you need to take breaks every 80-100 kms. Don't pass 100kms. You need hydrate frequently when travelling sunny time. You'll lose water very quickly from body and that'll cause problems in body. Carrying some energy bars will be good. Drinking water is a must. Don't travel at night. Find a stay before sunset. It is dangerous travelling night time.

Highway is very well maintained from Mumbai to Bangalore. I didn't see any bad patch of road that you mentioned till Kolhapur.

sir what coolant did you used for long distance travel? and what Oil is good for the engine and also for the gear.
I am not using any special coolant or engine oil.
I am still using company provided Coolant and I have been using Bajaj engine oil only.
And it's performing really well.
Ive heard Motul engine oil is good. Ill upgrade the oil later when I hit 20k kms.

Hi bro. Liked ur video. As going through the video, liked the way u vlog. The camera quality was nice, Ur way to interact was good. Just a small correction to be made while ur riding. Pls put it visior on as we r not able to hear u voice clearly due to windblast while u r riding. Overall a fantastic job done by u🙏👍
Yes bro, I don't have mic set yet.
So all the voice you are hearing is from GoPro's inbuilt microphone.
That's why the voice quality is not good 😅
With GoPro 8, it's really hard to install external mic.
I will fix this problem soon.

Hey.. How was your experience with D400? D-400 or Duke 390?
I haven't had hands on Duke 390,
But I was planning to buy Duke 390 but ended up buying D400. (because it's Indian made and also the look and feel of the Dominar)
I think Duke is superior because of Power to weight ratio.

Hi there, I'm watching your videos for first time and saw that you upgraded from 220 to Dominar. Dominar has more vibrations than Pulsar 220, pls correct.
Yes, certainly Dominar has more vibrations than Pulsar 220.
I think its normal to have vibrations in higher CC bikes with single cylinder engine,
as only one piston is producing the power, it ends up making vibrations.
If the engine was 2 cylinder engine, like RE Interceptor 650,
Then the bike would have been much smoother.

Thanks for the prompt reply,How is the maintenance cost of this bike? Is it on higher side? I had pulsar 180UG3 ran 1lakh+ km then downgraded to fzs-currently I’m using moped since last 4 years.
Maintenance/Service depends on what parts are being replaced.
Normal paid service can cost up to 2k₹.
But changing any parts (like chain sprocket, engine oil) can cost up to 4k₹ (average cost)
On an average you can consider spending 3k₹ on maintenance of the bike every 4.5k kms.
Really very nice.... U r good rider as you maintained good speed, safe riding also...

I got 29 kmpl average for this ride.

Mai approx 100km ke baad stop le raha tha.
Dominar is great for long rides. Bike bani hi long rides keliye hai.
Maine max 900km ek din mai kiya hai aaj tk.
Agar bike ko proper rest stop diye to koi problem nahi hoti.
Headlight is the best feature of Dominar. You will not need any additional auxiliary lights. Main headlight does the job perfectly.

What was the mileage your dominar gave during this trip and how many times have you lubricated the chain during the trip?
Mileage was around 26-28 kmpl.
And I did not lubricated the chain during the trip as I was a very beginner rider that time, I didn't knew.

Yea, Dominar is best bike! There are few flaws, but I ignore them and just enjoy the ride 😍🌅😊
Dear mileage plz at 90 to 100 speed.
100 to 120speed mileage
And city minimum mileage?
At 90-100 kmph constant speed, mileage is 30-32 kmpl.
If I go above 100 kmph, milage drops to 28-30 kmpl.
In city minimum mileage I observed was 23 kmpl.
Usually in city I've seen 25-27 kmpl.

How is the stock visor for windblast? Does it perform well? Do you intend to get any aftermarket one?
Stock visor performs well till 100kmph.
But after 100kmph, I can really feel the wind blast.
I have now swapped it for Carbon Racing Visor. It's really good. No wind blast even at 130kmph.
@@EndRiders I ride FZ25. The stock wiser is terrible even at 90+ I'm planning to get a used 2018 Dominar & install a good visor for longer rides.
FZ struggles after 120+ & lack of ABS makes it even worse.

Dominar stock visor is good till 100kmph.
Carbon Racing visor is good till 130kmph.
But after 130kmph, you'll have to tuck down. 😊

So how much km can one go Comfortably on dominar in one stretch??
If you are on highway, Highway stretch can be between 100-150 km non stop.
Ofcourse keeping in mind that you have experience of riding the Dominar.
For a new dominar rider, range can be 80-100 km non stop.
(there is back pain in most new riders, I had little back pain too)

Headlight of Dominar is the best! No need to add any auxiliary lights. Stock headlight is enough for highway cruising.
About vibrations, there are no any vibrations till 130Kmph. But after 130kmph, vibrations start to kick in little bit, it's not much... It's manageable.

Well maintanance hai....3500km chala hai...pls ans me Sir
500km continuous run is not good for bike as well as rider.
You have to take stops after 1-2 hour of run.
Just to give timeout for engine as well as rider.
No doubt bike can do 500km without stopping.
But I haven't tried it.
I always stop after each 1 hour.

I have completed 1200 km in 19 hours with hinda shine 125 CC on continue speed 80 kmph so I asked can I drive 12-13 hours to reach 1200 km road is full highway top to buttom

Bro ,this is your ride from Pune to Bangalore... 14 hours of journey on dominar ...Did u face any of the following pains...
1) wrist pain
2)shoulder pain
3) back pain
4)buttock pain
Well, I got butt pain and back pain.
Since I was not taking rest stops more often.
I learnt a few things from this ride.
Also I would like to add, I continued the ride towards Kanyakumari, there I started to get little bit elbows and bicep pain.
That was because, I was not using windshield.
Obviously this all can be avoided by getting a windshield and a jel seat.
I have installed CarbonRacing windshield.
Now rides are much more comfortable.

So, I've been planning on buying a dominar since 2018 almost and I'm finally going to book it, but I'm still a little concerned if I should be buying this bike (because of the weight and mileage) my commute includes home to college which is around 30kms up and down and I don't even ride on the highways that often, it's just most 1-2 times a month I'll go on a small ride of roughly 100kms. What would you suggest? Most of the bikes I've seen in the similar segment, I felt are not that great/ just ridiculously overpriced

I think you should check Dominar 250.
It's similar bike only with lower CC and improved milage.
Handling on both bikes should be good because of USD forks and slightly heavier weight.
I have seen D250 reviews on RUclips, it looks promising.

I suggested you D250 because Dominar is rare bike. (Because of low selling numbers)
But Dominar does stand out in crowd.
Obviously buying it, is upto your likings.
If you like the Dominar, bike will not disappoint you. 😊
(I am telling you this based on my experience with D400)
I have never ridden D250 so I can't be 100% sure it's as awesome as D400.
Make sure to do one test ride before buying.
