The secret to making a computer work using one's and zeros is to squish the rocks really flat and fill them with lightning.
nah it’s all about the layers of abstraction above those rocks
😉The _real_ trick is making the squished rocks and lightning act like plumbing valves.
I thought the trick was to use the sticky rocks
Caveman here. Technically, it HAS to be pebbles. 🪨
"Is this shit funny in canada" is legitimately the funniest thing chat has ever said
it kills in Ohio!
RIP Alan Turing, you would’ve loved Super Auto Pets
He’d agree Guinea fowl users do NOT pass the Turing test.
“Who tells the river to flow” is possibly the best answer to that question
Within two minutes of theoretically winning the lottery he gets corrupted by money.
New levels of strawmanning
"Is it dependent on the rifling of the wire?" 😂 I gotta clip that and send it to my electrical engineering buddies.
Ennelle comparing his struggle as a streamer to the persecution of a genius homosexual in the first 3 minutes of the video is what I live for.
When I see someone driving like a maniac, my reaction is, "That person is driving like a maniac," but I also assume there's some emergency in their life because if not, then it makes me more upset
How one man can know so much and so little simultaneously is hilarious
First few minuets and he’s already cooking
Essentially, it’s all really really tiny logic gates, more gates more bits of storage, the more places to hold a 0-1 Adds more complexity to the functions it can perform. Quantum or Q bits have a wider range in each placeholder than just a binary on/off 0-1. Q-bits have more than 2 states of being so can hold more variance in values
2:34 love humble NL.
7:05 dude has no idea. top quality banter all video. was going to name each high quality moment, but i couldn't differentiate.
Reminder that Chris Sawyer programmed Rollercoaster Tycoon in assembly language, which is one step above 1's and 0's.
Melee too?
complaining about lack of gameplay in a scratcher is such a good bit
how many viewers went on to buy lotto tickets that night
yeah driving really is schrodingers sanity with a bunch of pandoras boxes
It's all 1''s and 0's after all
Top shelf bits this episode
based on the title it's Costco related
The live sap videos have been so good recently
Did the egg just say he is the Alan Turing of Super Auto Pets?
Straight pegged a whole hour of sap
In the state I was a cashier in they would give you a bonus for selling the winning ticket. All kind of tickets apply when it's a prize over a certain value. A co-worker got a nice chunk when they sold a instant ticket jackpot of 500,000
If someone is driving like an asshole, I usually go, “Whoah, gotta stay away from them,” and let them get as far away as I can.
Sometimes the derailed bits just hit right
Ada Lovelace is who did the first algorhythms for a computer back in the 1840's. like 100 years before the guy you were talking about
the 'motor' decides in which direction the electrons go. a battery as a 'motor' moves the electrons in just one direction -> DC. on the minus side are many electrons, on the plus side there are just a few. If you connect both ends with a conductive enough material, the electrons try to spread out equally between both points. that means, electrons rush from the minus side to plus. voilà Direct Current
AC happens, when your motor is a spinning magnet next to a conductive material. the electric feld of the spinning magnet pushes the electrons back and forth in the conductor -> AC.
... i lost motivation to explain AC intuitively lol. also, strong simplification. its mostly about the mental model of how the electrons move
Pretty good explanation, just missing water analogies
and hill similes lol @@JohnDoe-ev8fk
It depends on the context in wich you recieved the ticket. Like, you get a ticket for Christmas, you can give as little as you want, they gave you a damn scratch card for Christmas. If your mate just bought it for fun or smth, I feel like a 5% would be fair
Strong start
Bro, give me one day and I will get you to understand how the transistors in a CPU process the ones and zeros to do useful work.
I was blown away when I learned that it's fundamentally just elementary school math und basic logic.
(Atleast if we ignore the complex physics involved in the production process and the complexity in optimizations like multi tiered memory)
who up playing with they ALU
CPU: omg me
55:21 oh no no no
Damn, he almost went a full whole 10 minutes without changing his team one bit, would've been a record
i do 200 push-ups/sit-ups and a 15minute yoga every day at 4 am
The sun is, unfortunately, down again when we finish work though...
If you wanna think about bored people in ww2, in the uk, dissing the blitz, as hell rained down on London night after night. There were little Welsh farming communities with refugee children from London, teaching them about food and animals and whatever, barely listening the the wireless, being updated on the war every now and then. Being a few dirty kids who didn’t know what a cow was, most of the war just sort slid on by
money calling is the funniest shit
6:35 i havent played runescape in years but i have so many of the locations and rooms and puzzles and most of stuff went through burned in my brain how much i went back and forth for different tasks or whatever its crazy how much the greastest osrs players know and im an amateur comparing hours
If someone drives really fast, and you try to decide if it is a maniac or a person having an emergency, you just look at what douche-level the car is at. No person with a sports car and spoilers rushes their wife to the hospital.
+2 for the traffic talk
I would be ecstatic if I brought my friend a lottery ticket and they gave me $7 mil even if it's only 1% of what they got.
If i won a lottery big enough, I'd put it in the bank and live off the interest and try to help as many family and friends i could. A single even million dollars yields a decent salary in high yield savings, for example. Idk what else is involved but i googled it and the highest rate is like 4.5%, so $45k a year off $1m.
I think with every subsequent million of lottery winning i could help out two more people. Even if it means living in the center of iowa or Arkansas for a few years first.
Quinn watches NL?? Like CCNC
Schitts Creek is good though
More and more I find NL saying something like "I've got nothing against x" when he has been ranting about something for like 10 minutes in a negative fashion. I'm not sure how to feel about it yet.
computers worked because we don't use any rocks we use *smart rocks* the polysilicon in a computer is one of the purest things on earth
You don't have to park a bus either nl...
SEcond
You wouldn't play osrs
